We have something on the order of a week until this possible patron for my dungeon arrives for his tour, but we're making steady progress.

Above all else, show some relief for her. The only reason that she would keep pushing her luck, from where you're standing, is try to impress you. Make it clear on uncertain terms that your affection doesn't hinge on her accomplishments, being unable to show affection does not mean a lack of it, and being supportive of her adventures doesn't mean you'll stop worrying after her. Acknowledge she's an adult now, so you can respect her as one.

At least you can be supportive by helping her with her adventuring career. She can't rely on dumb luck, as she is neither of those anymore. Her other stats are looking good, at least. All-rounder builds can work if there's strategy behind it.

>Inimical Inversion
Only reason this wouldn't atrophy is because it can still be used for cleanup, or defense in a pinch.
>Imperial Ambitions
With the ability to do socratic dialog on demand, there's no wonder how her Wits got a big bump. Even better, each form can pick different stats to improve on their own, therefore improving when back together. Screwing with analysis readings, presumably because it averages between the three, is a funny bonus.

That said, your concerns about cohesion are valid do need to be addressed. In the short term, her minions/kids/troops are going to play favorites soon. You might as well settle the issue here and assign which troops are to fall under which command/form. For the long term, she'll have to find or maintain concensus between herselves. It could be better to treat each one as parts of a whole, rather than as individuals. Ideally, she'd develop a core personality across her (currently) three forms, even if it's not what you originally envisioned. (You don't need to literally split your personality to understand the need to have different "faces"

Ahh the Hecate classic; Maiden Mother Crone trio. We should look to develop a sort of Witch Queen of the Slimes persona for her dungeon work.

Might as well ask about names or if they should be differentiated at all. We can't exactly call her Thing One, Two, and Three, after all, aand it's a bit insulting to just name them after appearance. However, there's all sorts of questions we need to ask about things like independence, how they resurrect (do all of them share a coffin? What if they wipe all at once?) how to employ them in the dungeon (she could do a whole section on her own! A whole wing! A sub-dungeon, if you will!) or if we could just have her work the outdoors, keeping our local area more up to snuff and less chaotic.

And this is all before how this has affected her production of lesser slimes. Is it divided among them? Is it faster? Do they each make different slimes? Can they control each other's slimes?

I have so many damned questions, and so little to actually suggest, but here's the big one:

Alkaline is the first of our chaotic mess of a party to come out the other end of this more or less with a complete bonus. She's just More Alkaline, she's smarter, and it's more a question of HOW to apply what she has than putting out some sort of body-modification fire. Gratze, Alkaline, as far as I'm concerned you're in the top billing!

Quiz her on the above. I'd love to use her new slimes and friends with the statues from before to make a truly heinous room that would confound any adventurer, but first we should see how she works. She might just be our new best groundskeeper, really, but as she is, she could do that AND other stuff!

>I'll have to check on the glossid and the cake mimic at this rate.

yeah do that

>What was she hoping for by surprising me? Was she expecting me to be happy? Angry? Proud? Worried?
You've consistently stated to her face that you don't want to be her mother. She hasn't taken that well. This is her trying to conform her mind around that.
The point of this is to try to get some kind of reaction other than a business-like apathy towards an employee. Even hatred would be enough to help her get past her obsession, but you're still not applying that.
She's obviously angry at you for treating her like a junior employee her entire life. Can we compromise? Even treating her like a pet would be preferable - and that's something you've done well with Chakarchelou, so now she's envious of the fact that you treat your animals in a way she would prefer to detached respect.

>Snail jerky for now but looking into turning rhe more colourful shells into pigments just rose sharply in our priorities
You put together a concentrated effort to gather and smoke as much snail as possible for the captain to trade. You also have a several barrels of the white sand filled and samples of glass brought on board of the ship. The captain and yourself spent many a long night discussing, arguing, and concocting a possible conspiracy about pretending to be victims of a pirate attack. In the end, the two of you decide not to, deeming it too great a risk to our reputation for a pay-off that was not guaranteed. Though perhaps in the future, such a false flag could be flown. For now, the captain will play the merchant. He’ll peddle out our less than desirable meats will scouting for potential buyers or investors over our unique sand and glass.
“I’ll be damned if I know what to do with glass that scratches you, but I’m sure a bright-eyes from the university could come up with a business venture.”
Soon enough, the ship that is your only lifeline to the old world shrinks off into the distance. Now you can only hope and pray that, when it returns, it’ll return with good news for once.

Catalogue Report #2:
Progress has been made researching other fish in the lake. The first of note is an ambushing predator being referred to as a Bearded Eel. These eels have tendrils surrounding their face and may be how they sense the world around them. Like other eels, they tend to hide in holes in the surrounding rock, waiting for a fish to come by to snap up and retreat with. Useful when your primary food source likes to swarm in retaliation. There’s also been plenty of encounters with a parasitic... well there’s debate whether it’s a worm or a fish. Regardless, it is a long, straw-like creature that can grow to about 11cm. It possesses a sucker-like mouth that it attaches to it’s victims and with rasping teeth it’ll slowly try to burrow inside to continue to consume. Unfortunately, it seems it is more than willing to try to attack people as well. A small pair of shears is recommended to cut them off at the mouth when assaulted.

In the meadows, there’s been a lot of study put into what sorts of dyes could come from these snails. First attempts involved trying to crush down the more vibrant shells. However, most of the colour on these were only surface level, resulting in nothing but calcium slop. Scraping it off has resulted in some pale colours that could work in an oil paint, but it is labour intensive and fails to colour any sort of thread. Some progress was found, however, in a more unassuming snail. It may have a dark-brown smooth shell, but by serendipity it was discovered that it’s mucus gland can produce a pale amber hue. Harvesting and distilling enough of these seem to create a usable, tawny dye. The longevity and vibrancy is still being tested.
Outside of gastropods, a curious plant has been found. Like many in the meadows, it has broad leaves radiating from a centre, but it possesses a taproot that can grow almost a meter into the ground. It’s relatively thin f

Something's weird about this. Why even have you here when there's little to no chance of you getting the death sentence? Maybe they're not even going to send you to trial. Hannah demonstrated the shredder before the last sentencing, so... I'm guessing they're going to kill you by "demonstrating" the execution device on the next trial.

Don't prep yourself to kill anyone though. We know very little about what Hannah's role in this is. She could just be a patsy. So could everyone here. Justice is elusive, don't assume that blowing away anyone in your way will be just.

People are likely looking at the set and production cameras, rather than security. If you can hold off just until the next trial starts, that will probably provide maximum cover from prying eyes. The show must go on; they'll try their hardest to keep whatever you're doing in the back from showing up on stage.

There's a truck you could steal, now, if you have any powers of theft without a completed firearm. Can you drive it? Could Barbara drive it? If possible, it might be nice to bust her out, too. What's she in for, anyway? She's the first one that's mentioned any sort of voluntary inclusion in the project. What's she in for, and how'd she get here?

>it might actually be a good idea to use a rune here instead of your island to make a healing zone. That way both you and the burned florafolk have a place to regenerate without you having to actively cast. Also, maybe fuse Life+Life? an unstable but more powerful healing effect might be a good thing.
>Altering this island's landmass is something that should be undertaken only with the knowledge and approval of its permanent residents. I'm sure such a thing will not be an issue, given how readily we see them warming to our presence, and once you've vanquished the source of their fear one way or another, they'll be doubtless only more glad to supply you with such approval. But at the moment, there are more pressing issues, that require as much mana as we can muster. It is good now that we understand its limits; let us survey the place the foe is known to dwell.
“I don’t know how to make a healing zone here. Back home we have the circle of stones you have to be on for us to use runes on the island, and I don’t know if this place has anything like that. I’m… also not confident in my abilities yet… I can see if fusing two life runes creates anything though.”
The little florafolk watches in amazement as Silv combines runes!

Life+Life: Success
The combination of Life and Life created a new rune! Silv discovered
Beast Rune obtained!

“Beast? Like animals? What do you think?”, Silv asks the florafolk.

“Chrittr?”

“...You probably don’t have animals here…”
“We should head back now Tetsi. I think I’m ready for this.”
Silv begins heading towards the florafolk village, with the small one following close behind.

This quest is to help me practice a new chibi-esque style and to be something fun.

Rules:
1. When a new character appears in the story, there will be a call for who they should be. You, the readers, get to suggest who you want to play the role! The character has to be from a quest and will be made the legal age and size needed to access a generic american club.

2. There can be a maximum of one character per quest author in the story, but multiple from an author can be initially recommended.

3. Actions can be suggested for characters once they’re in the story. Characters do not have to be totally in character.

Corporate entities have also begun to set their eyes on the planet below.

Despite some of you being complete strangers, you've all been seated together at a restaurant in Nexus, due to the law against dining alone after sundown. Some guy tried to sell you a memory crystal containing a treasure map.
A pretty lady at another table (who turned out to be dragon-blooded) bought him a drink (which turned out to contain yozi venom) and then, while he was dying, grabbed the crystal and ran off. Might want to be out of town before her employer realizes that one of you actually managed to boot it up first, and got a pretty good look at the map.
Site's over a thousand miles away, but most of that would be river travel, and there's an underground manse, so it should be easy enough to zero in on with geomantic surveying tools even if the map, or your memory or navigational skills, end up a few miles off-target.
If somebody's willing to pay for yozi venom (which is not cheap!) to cover it up, gotta be something seriously valuable out there.

Destination is ~800 mi southeast of Nexus as the crow flies, and half that far north-northeast of the ruins of Denandsor, right in the middle of rocky uplands between the headwaters of the Rolling River and a minor tributary of the Grey River.
So, you could take a more direct route up the Grey, but then face a longer trek overland,
or start by going up the Yellow past Great Forks and then turn south along the Rolling.
Or try something more complicated, to take advantage of esoteric travel options and/or throw off potential pursuit.

Notably, firmin resin is sturdy enough to make weapons out of (which is probably the main reason sorcerers summon them), and can even be molded into armor, but is extremely difficult to repair or otherwise reshape after it solidifies. Flames hot enough to melt iron barely soften it.

If you just want to destroy the stuff, though, there's an apprentice-level alchemy procedure: moonlight focused through a magnifying lens, onto a splinter of orichalcum acting as a wick, will start it burning as easily as candle-wax, with a bizarre purplish flame that rises bright in the cold and damp, but gutters low and gives off unpleasant smoke when conditions are warm and dry. Injuries it causes resemble frostbite or acid more than conventional charring. Such flame almost never spreads to natural wood.

So the villagers are now aware of who the thief is as well as that Dredge allowed this. Our innocence is established. Willful blindness is now the only excuse. We have common enemies. NSFW 18+ Warning: This quest includes nudity and mild elements of non-con (clothing damage). Reader discretion advised.

Adventuring has never been safer! Healing spells and trinkets of mage armor are cheap, powerful and plentiful. Unfortunately, spells that protect clothing are still very, very expensive, and it didn’t take long for monsters to figure out new ways to drive off adventurers.

As a newly minted journeyman seamstress just opening up her own shop, you must propose clothes that fit your adventurer’s skills, protect them against dangers, fit their budget, flatter their sense of style, and protect their modesty. Public nudity is highly illegal!

Hightailing it home in spite of the patient's weak condition might be the best ticket, following the tracks while they last. I'm sure you can get at least to your backyard if you hurry, and from there you can go from experience.

If the patient is cold, maybe you can tuck them under some wood? Just pile it up on top? Might help keep a body in the wheelbarrow, too, instead of popping out on the first bump.

So, assume that the hypothetical that you can no longer perceive your name, nor any allusions to your name, nor the meaning of your name if you looked up what it meant. This is equivalent to, essentially, a form of brain damage. It's metaphysical in origin and nature, sure, but it's analogous to the sort of thing that people have to deal with for entirely physical reasons as well.

You have taken a wound in the violent conflict to defend and protect those you care about from harm. Honor that, continue fighting for that cause, and just deal with it. Maybe you can be usefully given a new name that you can perceive in the future, maybe you can't, and that's fine, as long as you *win*.

“Should be safe at this point. Come on.” Casey releases the sandworm from her bridle and it turns to leave. The mice clamber down the creature’s flank and roll off into the dunes.

Gabe dusts himself off and waves a goodbye. “Thanks for the lift!”

The trio hike up and down the sand dunes, approaching the Memory Palace. As they draw closer, they notice that the density of drifting souls increases: clustering around the transparent structure like moths drawn to a flame.

The sand around them hisses from constant movement as panes of glass slowly rise out of the dunes to join the hovering swarm.

Looking around, the mice realize they aren’t alone: more cloaked figures meander around the maze of glass, taking individual panes and studying them before letting them float back into position.

Our work is done.
The raider's camp is broken.

Finesse, Tislomer, Ashedel and I traveled again to the villages of the Timore Woodlands, bringing with us the abducted children we recovered from their captivity.

Finesse's old village, Ihnesh-Nayevh, was presentable, but still recovering from the previous chaos. With their stolen children reunited, and the blessings of the Seer reaffirmed in symbol, they pledged themselves without hesitation to our cause.

Still, we chose to give them the time and distance to recover themselves, and I vowed to send an emissary in the coming days to establish a more foundational agreement.

Harvey opens his mouth, then closes it again, but Zenith takes notice and pursues. “Hey… What’s on your mind? Is there something you’re not telling us?”

“I’m… It feels… so dirty now that I’m saying it all out loud.” He sulks his arms down and sighs.” I feel like this person I’m describing just… It isn’t… They aren’t who Bethany is? Or who I thought she was? I feel like I’m trying to find someone. Someone who felt that they had to hide from me. Someone who doesn’t-” He stops. He chokes back a sob, horrified by what he was about to say. Zenith sits next to Harvey and hovers his hand over his shoulder.

“May I?” Harvey notices Zenith’s advance and nods. He rubs his burly shoulder, a gesture that comforts the bear enough to let him weep from his clouded eye.

>We know this is hard for you Harvey, but its important. This whole situation could just be a misunderstanding, and it would be terrible to leap to any conclusions that end up ruining what seems to be a deeply loving relationship.

“It’s going to be okay, Harvey. We know this is hard, but it’s important. Just remember that hope is never lost. If you’re willing to go this far to find the truth, you’re in too deep to jump to such a conclusion.” He bites his lip, holding buckets of tears back. “You’re a good guy, Harvey. It would be terrible to ruin your love if this is all a misunderstanding.”

Harvey looks at Zenith, a whimpery little smile trembling across his face. “D-dhank… Yy.. yew..!” Zenith smiles.

“You’re allowed to cry here, man!” Jubilee giggles. “It’s just like the bedroom. Anywhere you can rawdog you can cry!” Harvey chuckles at the joke, but then erupts into an uproarious wail. It’s… bothering the other customers. But even worse, it’s probably impossible to get any detective work done with him right now. Jubilee sits next to Harvey and holds his shoulders.

“Hey I know I said you can cry here, but since I’m a manager, I gotta tell you to keep it down a lil bit.”

“Y… Yeah.” he sputters. “Sorry, miss.” Jubilee motions to Zenith and Cooper, but only Zenith catches the gesture as Cooper is stuck in Charcuterie Heaven.

Quest will contain violence and possibly nudity

This quest is themed as schlock slasher film featuring OWO characters.
as a movie no character deaths will be permanent nor effect other OWO projects

All suggestions should have 2 parts
1)name characters and what they should do (E.G. Trisha should go to the vending machine for a Soda)
2)Name some event that happens (E.G. thunder strikes and she drops her change in a drain)

Quest objectives:
Brett wants to be a spirit of vengeance
Trisha wants their sponsor "Chickadee Red Soda" to get their money's worth

Since they're at the lake with a killer monster nearby, this is usually the part where something kinda lewd happens to make the victims more vulnerable before the kill.

Tina notes that Kevin's glasses isn't foggy and he's probably so stressed out about this college project that he's starting to see things, and suggests doing a bit of skinny dipping before they take more pictures to help him relax a bit.

(although this could help raise the ratings of the movie, consider how exposed they are allowed to be If we want to keep Chickadee Red Soda's sponsorship. If the company disapproves of being associated with full frontal nudity, we may have to just have some convenient censorship going on, or have them just strip to their undies).
