These need to be questions that answer things which will help sylv.
I wanna sate my curiosity too, but before we ask, lets see if theres any burning question weve being trying to answer that would make silvs life better first or more survivable.

Hey... what about her memory fragments? Is there a question we could askvthat would help her unlock partsvofbherself? Even hint towards what we should do?

Maaaaybe we can save one question for curiosity.
I do wanna understand the nature of the void.
A lot.
My money is still on it being a graveyard of worlds.
Fragments of lost worlds or realities being slowly rendered down by the voidling ecosphere. Like the process that breaks down carrion on a multiversal scale.
Some of thevfragments may bevthibgs removedvftom other still healthy places...
Argh... thats whyvwevneed a focus on useful things.
I could have a hundred questions for curiosity and id still want more.

The figure has decided to answer generally about the Void.
”The Void is where everything eventually ends up at the end. Everything beyond everything.”

”Every world tends to have its own void, but that void is still ultimately part of that world. The Void is everything beyond the world itself, the space between all other worlds. The Origin and the End. As ████ put it, a ‘graveyard of worlds’.”

”I suppose I should explain a world's lifecycle while I’m at it. A world is ‘born’ from the Void, but isn't clear how. The ‘death’ of a world tends to be much simpler. A world can only go on for so long till it cannot sustain its boundary, be it naturally or… forcefully. Not everything falls into the Void due to the death of a world however. It could be as simple as falling through the thinnest crack in the world's boundary, or trying to rewrite a world's foundation.”

”What will your second question be?”

The whole thing is a cycle.
The voidlings break everything down into runes.they combine to create something new... and a critical mass of them births... a world.

The figure thinks for a moment. She decides to speak on the child.
”Amnesia isn’t that uncommon of a thing. You simply need to be in a situation that would trigger a memory to regain what you've lost. A loss of memory could simply be from a hit on the head, a traumatic experience, or magic. You and Tetsi… are a bit different however.”

”I can feel the connection waning. Best make your final question count.”

what they hell are we suppose to show them in a reality made up from bits and bobs of other reality being slowly torn apart? We didn't even spawn near anything that could hint towards where we were popped into this world... That wasn't the last question by the way.

question question... uhhhhh... oh, were should we go next in the void to either gather more resources or discover more ruins? We have kind of just been wondering aimlessly hoping to get lucky but having an actual direction could be nice.

The figure taps her fingers on the table as it begins to fade away.
”The Void is infinite and with no direction, so you must choose a direction for yourself. You’ve done so before, but perhaps ask the others what they would like? As for runes…”

The figure stands up and approaches you.
”To gain runes from worlds, you must obtain them from those worlds, or hope they fall into the Void somehow. Many runes are incredibly difficult to obtain, unable to rely solely on luck and Voidlings. You’d need to be a bit more purposeful to distill a rune from matter itself. For example… the void itself has a rune, and I imagine you may know where it may come, and the intrinsic impossibility of getting it from Voidlings themselves. The only other fragment of wisdom I can grant you is…”

Hmm! I'm not sure what that'll do. What's a more earthy ore...? Gemstones maybe?

And a void rune exists... but we can't get it from voidlings, since... they can't eat void and thus can't get its rune for us that way?
Hmm, I suppose we'll have to ask Silv about distilling matter for runes.

>talk to Galena first?
Well I guess we can talk to her about the information we learned about the void's nature. Bad news for her I suppose, it means her world is dead. Maybe not surprising news I guess. ...Mel might get a bit more upset from this information, but it's possible her world isn't dead, just that that one part of it got shunted into the void due to the conflict.
As for Silv's world... we woke up on such a tiny island I can't help but think we didn't arrive here in the normal way. Could it be we were sent here on purpose? Or maybe her world knew about the void and that their world would eventually die, and we were made as a way to escape that fate? We contain a lot of minds, so maybe... we were supposed to carry their civilization here? Maybe Silv is meant to be a kind of blueprint for us to eventually make more bodies to contain our minds, once we get enough raw materials and runes. Except, why send a child? Something must have gone wrong.

>And a void rune exists... but we can't get it from voidlings, since... they can't eat void and thus can't get its rune for us that way?
Voidlings are made of voidmatter. When they eat matter, they transform it into runes. When they eat runes (which they normally can't) they turn into runelings. When they eat voidmatter, they become bigger. And voidmatter itself can be infused with runes to become something new. I think we need to pursue this line of logic to get to the void rune. Might need to get a voidling to a dangerously big size without letting it get infused with a rune...

>it's possible her world isn't dead, just that that one part of it got shunted into the void due to the conflict.
This is what she herself told us, and tracks with what the lady said, so.

>maybe... we were supposed to carry their civilization here?
Considering the conversation, I'm beginning to think it may not make much sense to consider scenarios where we (not Tetsi) aren't... well, us. I think we're just meant to be the ones who tuned in.
