B. we'll keep his remains, if I remember correctly, he's a toy, we might be able to get him fixed. If not, his remains can be used for something better. His death will not be in vain

also, D. We'll next need to formulate a plan, but one thing we need to do first is alert anybody out of the castle what is going on. If they are ready I'm thinking we should send a rat spy to search out Gram, and tell her what happened so she can be prepared. Then, after that, the spy should search out Victorio the archer and Executor who is on their way back and let them too know about what happened so they can be prepared too.

We could actually try to probably send 2 rat spies, one to gram, and one to Victorio and executor if possible. We should tell the rats to stay away from going along the direction of the river where the cat went if they can help it, and stay under cover as much as they can so they don't get spotted by her. Once they reach their destinations, they should stay with the person(s) they sent the messages to for protection.

the message the spies should give to our fighters is to have Gram, the archer, and executor to meet up, and sneak back to the castle at midnight tomorrow when we confront the cat.
Once close to midnight comes, they should get into hiding positions we tell them to go, and wait further instructions from the lesser demons (us).

Archer and executor should also be told to be careful about protecting the goblin prince if he decided to come. With the cat out and making moves, she would definitely want to kidnap someone as important as him if she spots them on the way back to the castle, especially now that we have her crow ally hostage, she would probably want to kidnap him too. For now, instead of taking the goblin prince directly to the castle, they should wait and keep hidden.

I was wondering if we can give the rats a portion of the potion for themselves, and/or to the fighters, but with how smol the rats are, they would probably have trouble carrying it.

So let me get this straight, the cat stole coins from us, killed guards, and most likely kidnapped Gram and finally cut mr. Yakbeet in half, this thief needs to go down! She fucked around and now it is the time to find out why curiosity will kill the cat! As for suggestion C) it is strange, like it doesn't fit with the two other ones. Maybe this is just me overthinking things but what do we got to lose at this point. I suggest the odd option C), may gods have mercy on our souls for the suggestion to release that thing.

Now that I think about it, can the happy snail be harmed? How far can it travel? Maybe the snail can be our messenger instead of rat spies?

uhhhhhhhhhh... It's a miracle???

uh, well, to answer your question, Yakbeet, I guess the cat was able to see right through your disguise and broke you in half. Then, the ghost of a snail decided to fix you up after we summoned him, and seeing how we can't see him, I guess he became your soul, meaning technically, now you are alive for the very first time, so... happy birthday?

Also, watch out, I think Bobbie and/or Abdle are gonna hug you. (A, B, C)

We might need a different plan if the rats are going to be too scared of the cat to go searching if the snail soul is out of the picture, something like a distraction for the cat to get the rats out. for now, since Yakbeet is here, we should probably ask him about the cat, get info on her like what she spoke with yakbeet about, her mannerism, stuff like that. Any small detail is important, and Yakbeet should have them since he's good at keeping memory, and had first hand experience with that cat.

for now, lets let Bobbie and Abdle hug the yakbeet as long as they want.

Deep down we know that Gram is not returning from the hunt, just give the ring to Grimlith and tell him the bad news. The only spy rat that we should send is to the goblin prince escort mission. As for our toy friend, just spam that hug button until you feel better our queen.

Yes, we need a speech get our people motivated and ease their fears. Any plans we try with the cat depends on everyone's mental state. Also, bring Yakbeet with you to help with the meeting. If the happy snail's soul is in Yakbeet, he might be able to make others feel better, or at least give them hope just by seeing that Yakbeet came back to life.

But first, before Bobbie and Abdle can give a meeting, we need to make sure Bobbie's in the right headspace. Bobbie, Don't blow things out of proportion, not everything went wrong. For example, we got Heartbeat to cut ties with Iron Dredge, which is a large feat of it's own, Heartbeat while not giving us fighters does trust us a little more, and we got the goblin prince free, which means if things go smoothly, we'll get more goblin allies. Plus, we're in good relations with Heartbeat's daughter. If we keep good relations with her, when Heartbeat passes away, she might be next in line to lead and be more willing to help us with her people.

as for dressing for the occasion, no. Don't do that. For one, if we have a speech, we won't have much time to get changed, and have a planning meeting. another reason, We have that crown that is made to hide Abdle with, and we can probably use that to hide something else with if we need to. I probably wouldn't hide Abdle in there cause then the crow will wonder why we didn't have Abdle hide in there to begin with since we pretended we hid him in our pocket previously. We already have the excuse the Abdle is claustrophobic as to why he won't be able to hide in that crown too.

A) something reassuring but firm. We're going to get that cat.

B) you look fine

For the first question go with A), our people need a good motivational speech. For the second question, we should also go with A), to quickly dress up for a more fitting attire. Something more black, some of our guards did die and we need to show that we are also sad for that outcome.

(edited)

I'm thinking ahead of time for later when we start planning,

Hey Grim, please tell the spy rat we are sending to know the following things:

- let Victorio the archer, and Executor know to stay hidden until midnight, and when midnight comes, the archer should start stealthily searching for wherever Bobbie and Abdle, and the cat will have their meeting (we do not know the location) and get to a hiding spot where he can shoot an arrow at whoever, or wherever we need him to, us lesser demons will give further instructions if he manages to find us. I would of have him search for the cat before the meeting, but the cat is very perceptive, it's better if the archer starts his search for us when we begin negotiations since the cat will have most of her attention on us during the meeting.

- Meanwhile, the Executor will continue to stay hidden to keep an eye on, and protect the goblin prince. As much as I want the executor to help us, we need him to put full focus on protecting the goblin prince

- Lastly, we need to let whatever rat spy we send out to stay away from the direction along river where the cat went so that they won't risk being spotted. The archer should also know that too, so they can stay clear of the river, and also in case Bobby and Abdle somehow ends up where the cat is hiding out at during the meeting, the archer can head that way. We're assuming the meeting will be at the castle, but if not, someone at the castle can let Archer know we're not there.

That said, we will also need a contingency plan b if the archer cannot find us during negotiations with the cat, or if the spy rat fails to find the archer and executor.

Like it or not we failed them on this. Give speech to our people. Our morale is damaged, we have to fix it up. We risk desertions if we don't do what we can about this mess. We need unity now. What would be most effective is channeling the emotions of fear to anger and vengeance. Only as one can we bring her to justice (in death).

A) Give an empowering speech.

C) Everyone's probably pretty mad right now, and if they aren't they should be. This cat is going down.
>>
No. 1104183 ID: c5529d

I think with a lot of things these goblins went through, giving an empowering speech while they feel scared and hopeless might be difficult after a large amount of them were unable to stop one cat, especially after having lost some warriors. And giving a sympathetic speech at this point, while make them feel better, would probably do nothing about raising their morales. Plus you're not dressed appropriately to get a sympathetic speech, and more of a woman of action

C.

As we go down the path a tyranny, we need to have our subjects channel any uncertainty and feelings of fear into anger against what that cat did to us, and towards others who oppose us. Lives were lost, and more will be lost if they continue to grieve over how unfair it all was. So it's important to channel those feelings of grief into anger. Tonight, we will get our revenge and that cat will be no more.

for part of your speech, let everyone know that while we have lost members of our kingdom, this is a sure sign that the enemy is weak to the point of desperation, enough to pull a cowardly tactic as this. The enemies' fear and desperation is a sign of us getting stronger, and them getting weaker as they lose trust from their allies like the headsplitters. We will honor the lives of the goblins lost with revenge.

Perhaps if I was more creative... Still we'll see if I get ideas. 2 and 3 could be combined. Start off with 2. List the dead, how the loss impacts us all, that sort of stuff. Shift by saying how the killer has eluded justice. Only as one can we stop this - blah blah - she must pay - blah blah - do not let these deaths be in vain and honor them by doing your part in service as a troop or for the troops. For only united can we end such criminal acts!

probably the way to go. If he asks for more details, tell him we'll discuss tomorrow as you and your people need to process the damage and figure out where to go from here. We only just got here after all.

That being said, it is pretty risky for an important person like Migreveo to come up here to the castle while the cat is making her moves as we speak, with a ton of food, no less. Hmmm...

Hey Grim: please go have Orbital scan all the food before having our followers feast, please, mainly to check if they've been poisoned. If for some odd reason Migreveo sees Orbital doing that, We have the excuse that it's only protocol we always do before feasting to check the freshness and expiration dates on them, can't have our followers getting sick after all. At this moment in time, we cannot be too careful.

Also, grim, if the food is poisoned, don’t say it out loud in front of the village leader when you return, just give us a sign secretly, something like when Bobbie asks if Grim got to eat yet too, if Grim says yes, food is good. If he says he is too busy with what’s going on to eat, food is poisoned.

Heath Ledger's legendary performance. Such a shame he died. Still you do see a truth there. Have always said that if it's not a weapon then you're not thinking like a human - though technically that means "if it can be used in warfare." Since most objects can be used as barricades. Even without guns we see riots. ENOUGH DIGRESSING! Word spreads like wildfire. Perhaps suspiciously so... C disguised as A
C is our main goal, but I feel A would be cooler to say because it sounds more ominous and leaves it up to the imagination of exactly how we will stop her from attacking us.

Now, Bobbie and Abdle, if grimlith signals that the food is poisoned, don’t accuse or react, we will be in a good position to play mind games at that point.

B. I think Gram makes a good point here, and justified on her anger here, considering she just lost a lot of her goblin allies and friends. As tyrants, we need to be pretty strict on our followers. Our rats are supposed to be spies and scouts. If they are too scared to do that, they are of no use to us.

That said, we know Ratislav's rats are great spies, but their fear needs to be ironed out. that said, tell Ratislav that while you know his rats are great spies, you demand that after the situation with the cat has been resolved tonight, he puts intensive training on his rats to work on their courage, and you want to see better results within a week or two, or there will be severe consequences as punishment.

After all, you can't have scouts that are too afraid to... well, scout or spy. we know they can be amazing spies and scouts, they just need to be more courageous. Let him know the next time there is a sneak attack like this and his rat scouts are too cowardly to scout it out, it could not just cost the lives of more goblins, but cost his own life, and most importantly, his queen's and apple demon's.
>>
No. 1104353 ID: cb0028

We fight ourselves and our enemy wins. Over-cautiousness is a mistake. Spymaster that is on you but Gramleza you have to remember everybody here is our people. Of course the fact that the goblins have made greater sacrifices should be recognized but not at the expense of the whole. So that said, our rats have to put as much on the line as the goblins have. Our survival hinges on every race unconditionally cooperating. Divided we fall, united we stand.

B, we already did have sent a message to the archer to search for us when midnight strikes, and gave a huge speech about getting our revenge. Also, we need to show Ratislav what real courage is to hopefully inspire him and his troops, and we can’t show cowardice and abandon our goblin.

We,re going to need a plan, and a contingency plan b and c
>>
No. 1104518 ID: e69e37

First plan is to exchange hostages since we do have her accomplice. She'll accept and we are no worse off or she won't and her accomplice finds out how she's willing to leave him to die. Should say no we move to plan 2 which is... uh... dunno. She tore up yakbeet so perhaps she'd be fooled by him being alive? Or perhaps our stealthy scouts could be on hand? Or claim we left abdle because we assumed she was referring to her accomplice - so we need a new exchange of hostages (which buys us time to get a new plan for this)? ...Do we even have non-aligned ground for this exchange? What's stopping her from bringing her employers to kill bobbie? Perhaps she'd see this village as unaligned enough to exchange hostages. While we secretly get the villagers to mob her for what she did. Just spitballing here.
>>
No. 1104521 ID: c5529d

For now, let's get information before we get into serious planning. We still have to hear what Yakbeet has to say about what he witnessed before the cat killed him, any information, no matter how small, can help us figure out a weakness that we can apply to when we are in the planning phase.
>>
No. 1104533 ID: 6c233e

They both need to calm down. We aren't loosing Abdle, and we aren't loosing Gram.

We have a hostage, and more importantly, we can pump him for information. He's clearly in over his head, lets let Abdle convince him that the cat needs to give it up, and hopefully he'll spill what would convince her too.
(Despite Bobbie's speech, if we can get the cat to just walk away we take it. We cannot afford to seek revenge right now.)

(Abdle has to play the part of good cop, since Bobbie is clearly established as wanting to hurt bird)

Pumpkin is going about this all wrong. If they had just helped us we would have been glad to let them on the council. But now they look manipulative. Even if they have genuinely helpful information, why would we trust them. Still, a position on the council is easy to grant, and just as easily taken away. Give them what they ask for, for as long as they behave.

As for birdy, further beatings will yield little. We already broke his leg, he knows we have no qualms about making him pay. We need someone to earn his confidence, and wheedle his secrets out.

What do they get out of politics? ...Either way haggle a little. Offer a lesser position with the possibility of moving up. Like "council associate?" Should they prove their worth through use of stagecraft to deceive our enemies about how numerous our forces are and the locations they are it would prove council-worthiness. Per the bird, have Ratislav coordinate - one of the classic ways of getting info is building rapport and one of our spiders may have an in by weaving a cast to fit the leg. Per Victorio - little confused. His job is scouting, so what would we be touching base regarding?
>>
No. 1104611 ID: c5529d

B for me, cause I have an idea of how we can figure out he's lying or not.

we first play dumb and ask him some things we already learned about the cat through yakbeet that he believes we don't know, like asking him how the cat figured out yakbeet was in disguise, in detail. If he lies and says anything other than what yakbeet telling us, we can do a bit of torture, and we ourselves can lie and scare him by saying we or someone in the room has a hidden ability to tell whether he is lying or not, and if he wants to keep his wings, he will not lie again or something like that.

Of course, we will have to hide yakbeet from him in order for this to work cause if he sees yakbeet, he will know that yakbeet is alive and told us everything. If he believes yakbeet is dead, we can scare him into believing that somebody is a lie detector detecting his lies, and won't dare lie to us if we're to gather more info to help us against the cat.

Perhaps the prince had rivals. Or he was lying about being a prince. Either way not a huge loss. Ooh get the car for reverse engineering! Such a huge advantage! Head back to the castle for now. Just be cautious, guessing the cat is on your tail (pun intended).

right now, we don't know what those goblins are capable of against just the archer and the executor alone as they have an advantage in numbers. We are ill equipped at the moment, but that goblin prince will have to be saved at some point. At the very least, the cat didn't kidnap him.

For now, D. The cat takes priority right now, but we need to do something to deal with the goblin prince's dilemma. Since the spy rat is here, Lets send the rat spy on a new mission to scope out where the goblin prince and goblins went, and spy on them and gather info. If they're rivals, we could get info on them like their weaknesses, what they need in case we need to do a trade, and probably even find the goblin prince when he's alone so we can speak to him through the rat and we can probably even help him escape by giving information. Shouldn't be an issue since the little guy doesn't have to worry about the cat coming after it. Victorio, Please direct the spy rat the direction of where the goblins came from.

the archer and executor will probably have to return to the castle. Having them search for the cat could risk having her kidnapping or injuring them, considering we are holding the crow hostage. We're probably going to need the archer for a ridiculous plan we're coming up with. Tell them to stay away from the river where the cat headed off to.

hmmmm... is he a simp? if so, we are then in a pretty good position to exploit him, kinda like how Cleopatra did with Julius Caesar. I don't like this guy, but getting him and his people to do things for us in the future for nothing more than seduction could put us in a better position... oh yeah, different world, bobbie probably doesn't know who Cleopatra is.

A. if we just do B, it'll be like he's the one in control of us, making it feel like he has power forcing bobbie to do something she doesn't want to do like kiss him for his services. If Bobbie kisses him passionate enough, we'll get him right under our spell, and take control of him and have him do other things for us in the future after they save the goblin prince for us.

Great, we got another Worm Works here. It takes a lot more than that to earn a royal kiss. Like bringing the head of Shadow, or Dredge.

And of course next he'll make some veiled threat to this goblin's life if Bobbie doesn't comply. But shut that down now, What Leafie decides to do with the goblin is up to him. We hold no responsibility to one who isn't our citizen.
>>
No. 1104979 ID: c5529d

A, but only on the cheek, you did technically said you'd that. just be careful that he turns his head as you kiss him on the cheek to face you so you accidentally kiss him on the lips.

that will be the bait for our next favor: tell him if he really want a kiss in the mouth, he'd kill that cat for us. Two things can happen: he kills the cat, or the cat kills a majority of his people, and he can leave us alone for awhile, with his people angry at him for trying to go after the cat for a kiss

alternatively, I guess if he complains, we can barter and change it to just have his people locate the cat, and we kiss on the mouth, but have it be french kiss if his people manages to kill the cat. Same deal, the cat might kill his people and he'll leave us alone if he fails, or he succeeds and we get more info on the cat during planning

Fine kiss the cheek but no more. Hate to say it but he did stop a fight before it started. However his... omission of details has not gone unnoticed. His favor is minimal because of this. Should he desire greater favor he has to cut the crap and stop with the demands. "Everything is worth what it's purchaser is willing to pay" is a thing he's learning here. Emphasis on purchaser rather than seller - so we set prices. He pushes for more then the deal's off. >>1104974 Oh he's worse than wormworks. B, definitely, We'll also need a plan B, and maybe a plan C in case a plan fails.

As far as archer goes, I was thinking he would sneak fully attack the cat during the meeting, perhaps during the distraction the performer will cause. But we'll need to know exactly where the meeting is taking place so he can prepare. Does the crow know?
>>
No. 1105552 ID: c5529d

I have one other idea

The cat is afraid of the personification of death

maybe we can use that to manipulate her feelings and fear. We can take the crow hostage with us to the meeting place, and have the performer pretend they want the crow's soul. If the cat is too cowardly to save him, he could at least see that the cat really doesn't care about him. We can also probably pretend we don't see death to make it more dramatic. We'll have to blindfold the crow though so he doesn't see death. Maybe something to cover his ears if we decide to have death talk too?

one scenerio could be we want to trade with the cat our hostage instead of abdle, and if she refuses, we "kill" the crow. we could say something like one cannot escape the fate of death once they have their eyes set on someone. We can knife him (he won't be effected) while at the same time, the performer can do something to make the crow faint. with "death" near us, the cat will be too scared to try any tricks to save the crow.

plan needs refining, we can ponder more about this.

D, after hearing about how she was making up stories of Bobbie having sex with and sucking lots of goblin dicks, I really don't think she is putting rumors to rest as she said, so I don't think it matters whether we say we don't want or need anyone to get intimate with.

...

wait, is this her weird way of asking she wants to get in bed with us?
>>

Bobbie doesn't really seem like she has much of a sex drive. So whoever started that rumor must not know Bobbie well. Or, if she does know Bobbie well and is wearing some sort of blue headdress, then she isn't being very creative. C'mon, sex with Abdle? Really? Those two are clearly platonic. Bobbie deserves a better class of rumor.
