They fight and they struggle, the pale-beast tries to claw at Loquui's sisters, but they are killing it! Yes! They-oh. The beast falls off the ledge, and her sisters follow. Loquui has a startling realization that this ledge is incredibly unsafe and it was amazing her clan did not have many accidents when they ruled this place.

But at least they keep stabbing and pummeling the beast on the way down! Their sacrifice will be honored when Loquui returns with tales of their bravery to the Consort. Of course Loquui will be the bravest, but they too earned their place in Loquui's glorious tale.

Loquui resolves to only play with herself as a last resort. She has the Consort now, and compared to him, everything is worse. She is most certain the Consort is alive. She can feel it. They share a special bond. Just a bond she doesn't fully understand yet. Her sisters? Well they might be fine too. But if they so happen to die and leave Loquui alone as the only woman for the Consort why, that would be so...unfortunate.

Just need to find him. Loquui cleverly deduces that going down along the cliffside is a bad idea. Too many unfortunate accidents today. She loops back into the tunnels and-oh! Loquui's sisters have ensured the bug-thing is VERY dead. But to be sure, Loquui gives it an experimental poke. Then another. Loquui remembers the Rule of Threes, and gives the body one final poke before coming to the conclusion, the thing is indeed very dead.

Loquui is a master of traveling the caverns and tunnels. She only gets lost twice before she manages to find a shaft that her clan uses to dump refuse into the cave river. Well, no it doesn't dump their nightsoil into the river, nonpeople have to shovel it into the river, but point being it is a safer route down; and for having not been used for some time, and the smell is mostly gone.

Loquii demonstrates great control over her senses by not gagging on the stench as she traverses down. She slides back into the settlement that her clan once called home. Before the metal giant woke up and killed so many. Now it is full of the short hairy things her clan chased out once before. But more than that, it's full of nonpeople! They stink of the ghostskins and the bug-things she and her sisters had so valiantly vanquished. So far none have noticed her, they seem more focused on moving boxes of things from one place to another. Typical nonpeople work. But wait...something is off.

Loquui is not jealous. Just curious why a worthless little dah-een would carry the scent of the Consort. That's curiosity, that's all...

Loquui waits patiently for the dah-een to separate from the rest of the nonpeople. Loquui normally avoids the nonpeople as they are not part of her daily tasks. Their instruction and discipline are left to the mistresses. But she does know a thing or two about getting information based on what Shokzali did. But then again, Shokzali used the same method to train her students. And Loquui.

With grace and skill, she reaches out and grabs the dah-een, pulling it into a place of quiet without anyone noticing. And so she begins the instruction as Shokzali did.

Loquui fights with the dah-een. She is stronger, she is bigger, but he is faster. Every blow she lands, he seems to turn with and spins around to counter! Those small dah-een hit harder than she remembers. But then again, she never saw one fight. Perhaps that was what Shokzali meant when she said to strike fast with the-it is getting harder to think. All the wine clouding Loquui's sense of smell is now clouded by a lack of air as the dah-een loops his belt around her throat!

Yahn is the consort, or course nonpeople would fall to his knees in adoration and worship. Even the admittedly powerful ones like the one throttling the air out of Loquui. She just needs to convince the dah-een of fish potato dirt slime.

Loquui showing remarkable intelligence, grabs the dazed dah-een and throws him against the rock face. Not gently this time, hard. He yelps in pain. Perhaps now he will listen-owa that's a big knife. Loquui grabs his throat and bends her claws ready to rip it out if he moves. A standoff.

"Yer kind always take, ye don't talk. Even if ye kill me, I'm makin' the world better killin' one more of ya rats 'fore I do!"

His words are so hard to understand, but Loquui is sure she can make out the nonperson's atrocious dialect. "No, you, Yahn. Consort. Me, Yahn. Consort."

Yakubi. She was one of the more popular girls from Loquui's litter of whelplings. Always pleased the misstresses with how fast she learned, how strong she was, how stunning and beautiful she was compared to the other litter-mates. Oh Loquui hated her. She wisely does not laugh at Yakubi now, scraping and worshipping the feet of some monster ghostskin instead of paying homage to the Consort. Poor, stupid, lost Yakubi...

The dah-een by Loquui's side is whispering to himself, maybe he thinks because no one has ears as big as him they can't hear. But Loquui hears. And can barely keep up with all the trade speak, what the fuck is everyone saying?!
