The problem which seems to be older than gaming itself. Anybody knows an elegant solution to put rectangular objects on a hexagonal grid without goofy things like doors being only able to be stepped through on a diagonal line? Google provides many articles on hex and square based grids, but alas, I never found a satisfactory answer. Also, I hate hexagonal houses. Related question: Any good solutions for diagonal distances on a square-based grid? Square root of 2 is not really intuitive..
So, I made a thing, and I decided to make a thread here instead of regularchan, because you seem decent enough, and also because I won't have to make no-content bump posts. Imagine the Warriors, but set in the prison from Escape from New York. Make it a women's prison. Make all of that a small skirmish wargame for the resulting stylized absurd gang fights, with additional rules for XP, looting, dumping the loot into your hideout, and various non-combat activities that take place between fights. This is essentially what Catfight: Tactics is shaping up to be. Anyway, a lot of it is extremely unpolished or even broken at this point, so any comments, suggestions, offers to help run test campaigns, and attempts to break it are welcome. The latest ruleset will always be here: http://cftactics.blogspot.com Pic related: it's a chick with ridiculous accessories punching, a common in-game event.
Argonians, like Khajiit, had varied designs throughout the game and used lore to bullshit excuses (both Khajiiti and Argonians have multiple sub-races).
What does TG think about glass cannons? Better yet, what is the biggest glass cannons in Table tops or video games otherwise?
So I have a setting I've been working on. Here's what I've got as fluff for a few races, can /tg/ offer any constructive criticism? HUMANS: Humans are basically Switzerland. They'll do business with anyone, they'll shelter criminals from other nations (as long as they aren't wanted inside Human terrirory), and so on and so forth. Humans, in other words, are greedy amoral bastards, which I feel is fairly realistic. ELVES: Elves are equal parts pre-revolutionary France and modern Ukraine. They're ruled by a corrupt, decadent, all-powerful nobility who go around having orgies and doing cocaine. Said nobility use facial piercings and "tribal-style" tattoos as coats of arms - each family has a different pattern. Their peasants are almost all farmers, and they function as the breadbasket for a lot of the world. This means that Elves have a reputation for being connected to nature. Orcs: The Orcs control a fuckhuge amount of territory. The downside is, most of it is uninhabitable due to cold. Orcs are like Imperial Russia in many ways, including their oppressive monarchy. There is a pro-democracy movement, who are perfectly willing to bomb innocent civilians and do other evil terroristy things. Fuck year setting two grey things against each other.
Tabletop racing game for driving through cities with guns attached to the vehicles. Two engines, partner(gunner) in passenger side post-apocalyptic wargame. Driving in cities and other places, bulldozers get the rubble out of the way. Tanks a rarity, guns and cars not so rare. Can this sort of TTWG be fun? Thinking about taking some of the crazy hotwheels fantasy cars and remodel them with guns a new paintjob.
Can a blacksmith character have any hard-hitting physical prowess in a legit game?
Sigh, Did Sketchy P ever hang around here/ does anyone have any of stuff saved? Because dammit, he did a cute as fuck draw orc, and some M:tG related nudity.
So I just got FRAG:GOLD EDITION and a goofy board game based on first person shooters is AN AWESOME CONCEPT. Help me bring TF2 into it. I'm already working on making 2fort for it, I just need some variations for classes and whatnot. I would put it together myself, but it's late and wanted to know what'chall would recommend. I'm also considering buying Zombies! and mixing it in to make a Left4Dead variation.
My name is Freis, I'm here to draw shit. Possibly at your behest.
So, what websites/tools/generators are you guys using when preparing and/or running games, aside from rulebooks? I've only ever run/played D&D 3.5, so most of it is system-specific. http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tools/d20encountercalculator.htm EL calculator. When I can't decide whether six CR 3 opponents are too much or not, I stuff the numbers and compare it with the party average ECL. http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tools/d20monsterfilter/ http://www.penpaperpixel.org/tools/d20spellfilter/ Mosnter and spell filters. Immensely useful when you want to make the next encounter have, say, jungle-themed monsters but don't know what exactly to pick to not make it unbeatable. Same with spells: it comes in really handy for navigating spells by something other than their name. Too bad it only has core spells. http://www.myth-weavers.com/generate_npc.php? NPC generator. This vile weapon radiates pure malice. Its eyes glares at you, seeming to stare at your very soul with unholy hunger. +(varies, see soul drain) polymorphing intelligent evil fullblade. When a person is weilding it, the soul edge changes into the weapon that the person is most proficient with. This can include a bow, but the wielder needs to provide their own ammunition. As an intelligent weapon, the Soul Edge demands that the wielder hunt down and slay as many living beings as possible, mainly for its soul draining ability (see below). If the wielder sleeps for a rest benefit, then the blade may choose to force the wielder to go out and hunt while they sleep. While being forced in this manner, they use the weapon's WIS score for spot and listen checks, and take a -8 penalty on Bluff or Diplomacy checks. Any failed bluff attempt results in the opposing party knowing the wielder's condition. Soul Drain: Any critical hit that drops a foe to 0 or less HP with this weapon drains the soul and life from the enemy. For every Hit Dice the target of this ability has, Soul Edge gains a single level of magical enhancement. For instance, if the Soul Edge were to critical on a HD 3 goblin and slay it, it would become a +3 polymorphing intelligent evil fullblade. This enhancement leaves after a full year, but any enhancement gained 'resets' the timer on any other enhancements fading. When generating the weapon randomly, roll 1d6+3. This is its current plus. Not sure if it needs more or if the wording is off or what, feel free to correct.

I want to get started on a quest. I have a couple of questions. What sort of links would be to read before I start making a topic? And the way I draw ensures that it's hard to see on a computer without lineart clean up and refining. Do you guys have suggestions for making the line art even? Alright guys, I've got a little project I'd like input on. Eventual aim is a race for D&D 3.5, maybe a prestige class to go with them. Now, the purpose of this race is, in the main, to be dead. Extinct, or just waiting to be so. Maybe two dozen individuals remaining. See, I've kind of fixated on the idea of playing a paladin who's the last of his kind, the itinerant warrior who wants to leave a good reputation for his people and go out in a blaze of justice. So, elves are always the dwindling race in a lot of settings, so why not? It'll be a kind of elf. How did they become extinct, then? Well, a war would fit with the eventual aim. If they were all killed in a war, though, it would make sense if they were a warrior culture. Let's say a mix of ranger-y and paladin-y types, shiny knights and white gleaming fortifications and towers, sort of thing. Less arcane magic, more divine magic. To go with the bright holy light and plants sort of theme, and to go well with crusading warriors and such, call them sun elves. And to associate with that, let them be blonde and dark-skinned in appearance. A bit taller than normal elves. Now they're getting a little mary-sueish, so what flaws can we give them? "Arrogance" is the terrible answer that is default for elves, so let's go the opposite way; they're warriors, they need to take orders and do chores, so they don't give themselves airs, and when they're off duty they're laid-back, fun types. But that's not a flaw. Take it further: they're hedonists. Ale and wenches times a hundred. Let them have been famous for their drugs, alcohol and promiscuity. Let them be focused and competent in military situations, but hotheaded and casual in everything else. For a bit more, add another "warrior" failing; they're looters, totally shameless about taking stuff from their enemies. There's a tendency a paladin woul Message too long. I'm was exploring through other sourcebooks for races (dnd3.5) and found Raptorans. I find them awesome, but I'm confused about their capability to fly. Basicly, says you get flight when you reach "5 Hit Dice" and you get better at it when you get "10 Hit Dice". How does one improve his Hit Dice? I'm really confused here. If I'm a sorc and multiclass a barbarian do I start flying? Does my HD get higher at a certain level?
Horror story time! I'll start~ Now, the first time I met The Ravenloft DM was away from the table. He was a pretty big guy. Almost morbidly obese, but he was alright to talk to. Until you spoke of two things: 40k or religion. Jesus fuck this guy hated religion. He wasn't athiest. He hated god SO FUCKING MUCH, he had to believe in Him. So he's starting a campaign. Myse;f, being a freshmen to the college at the time, was eager to meet new people. "Very well, my good man, I shall step up to the plate!" "I see that," he responded, "what shall you play?" Now, I thought to myself, and said, internally: I love playing clerics. I love Cuthbert. But he hated religion as a rule. So instead, spake I: "I will play a cleric who worships Law." He pauses for a moment, looking through the book. Helpfully, I add, "If it's alright, I will take the Law and Strength domains. They are listed under Cuthbert." "Then why not follow Cuthbert?" asks he. Respond I: "I would, but I know your stance on dogma, and," He waves his hand and smiles. "Worry not! I bring not such grudges to the table." Oh, how I wish I knew how much a bald-faced liar he was.
So psionics. It has its problems, but I like it better than vancian magic, and wish to use it instead of wizards and sorcerers. Has anyone attempted this? I've already had a player complain that the terms it uses are 'too sciency', but the only other problem I see is explaining psionic focus without giving spellcasters something akin to monk training. Pic hopefully unrelated.
We're doing an All Flesh Must Be Eaten game in #allflesh on irc.rizon.net. We can probably take one or two more players, and you can watch if you like.
Ok guys, I know this is trollbait on 4chan, but I'm rather hoping here I can get some reasonable discussion :V 4e. Now that it's been out for months on end, what do people think? Personally, I found 3.x to be too breakable. Even without the myriad splatbooks, the core rules made certain classes excessively powerful at level, say, ten, and obseleted the other classes after that. Primarily here I am talking about wizards, with clerics catching up slightly after a few more levels. 4e has less of this problem, at the cost of a lot of customizability and sort of a loss of... freedom? Flexibility? To me, having named 'powers' makes me feel like some superhero in a JRPG. That said, 4e is fun and allows for a lot of tactical thinking, and support classes are fun to play again. So what does tgchan think? Is some version of D&D better than the others? Is comparing them to one another ultimately useless, or like comparing apples and oranges? Are all D&D editions inferior to FATAL?
MOTHER FUCKER TG IS DEAD. CAN'T HAVE THIS SHIT. YO, CHECK THIS OUT. PLAYED THIS MOTHER FUCKER TODAY, IT'S COOL AS HELL. SEE, THAT'S A JOKE, BECAUSE YOU'RE A DEMON. A CHAOS DEMON. So, I've got a bit of a problem I totally brought down to myself. The BBEG of the campaign I'm in is this one sorceress, a real asshole who burns down villages and tortures people for fun, and I've been taunting and mocking and messing up with her just for shits and giggles, because she's just so responsive and easy to anger. Now, obviously she'd love to catch me and stick me in an iron maiden somewhere, but since I've proved to be rather elusive, she has decided to go for the next best thing: find out where my hometown is and torch it to the ground. On one hand, she has apparently infinite resources in her hands, with a massive army of many standard races, as well as beholders, one mad doctor and his zombie girlfriend, and a gigantic heavily armored and fanatical hellspawn or whatever. On the other hand, my hometown is actually a heavily armored fortress, and could probably withstand at least several weeks of assault; in addition, I have the advantage of being friends with one extremely powerful wizard who could easily wipe the BBEG off the map if he wasn't a pacifist. Also, the BBEG's sister is much nicer person and I'm in at least friendly relations with her. I myself am currently at almost level 6, a swashbuckler who developed an interest in magic and multiclassed to a wizard. The hometown is literally on the other side of the world of my own current location, and mobilizing her troops over there would take the BBEG several months at the very least. As said, it would also take a few more weeks at least to actually penetrate its defenses. So I have time. Can I somehow find a way to evade all consenquences of my own deeds, or should I just bend over and take it like a bitch?
halp me, /tg/ I am a 14th Level fighter. My PC's girlfriend has left me earlier in the campaign, claiming I never pay attention to her. Now I get word that she's turned into a vampire and needs my help to "Cure" her condition. Whereas, there's no cure for vampirism, only STAKINGS ... does this mean I can date other people now?
Any of you fa/tg/uys up for some World of Darkness? Mortals, with some supernatural abilities.
SETTING IDEAS POST YOURS NOW ---- Sterbennung is a dead world. Its surface is a blasted wasteland, scarred and over radiated by an uncaring and unmerciful sun. It never rained on Sterbennung; it poured, as if the planet’s very own discolored clouds hated it, and attempted to drown it whenever it could. Nothing lived on the surface of Sterbennung. Not even bacteria could survive on its cursed plateaus and rocky valleys. If the heat or the cosmic radiation didn’t kill you, the weather would. Rain would be the least of your worries when the weather came in to play. But deep, deep down below, below the planet’s surface, far away from its blasphemous sun and murderous weather… Life flourished. The unique minerals of the earth of the planet gave shelter to its contents, taking the punishing rain and trickling it in as rivers and aquifers and lakes, and it took the burning heat and biting cold and brought it down below, weakened to bearable levels as it came down. Forests of fungi grew large, and stalactites could be mined and transformed to building materials. Down below the dead surface of Sterbennung, a great labyrinth of catacombs and tunnels emerged. Some were made by the planet itself, perhaps pitying the foolish things that attempted to eak out a meager living within its depths. And the rest were created by the Progenitors. No one really knew who the Progenitors were. All the inhabitants knew about them was what was learned from the mysterious artifacts they left behind. The Progenitors were hailed as gods, of a sort. They had arrived on Sterbennung within the confines of the Great Metal Shell, the largest of all the artifacts ever found, and the alpha of all life on Sterbennung. The Progenitors had came to Sterbennung, and they had given it its name. They landed- or possible crashed- within it’s deep depths, and using sorcerorous sciences or magics cover the hole w Message too long. Click here to view the full text.

Hey there /tg/, I need some help and was hoping you could provide it. I am starting a DnD campaign with some friends in a few days and I will be jumping in their game a bit late. They need a tank so I was planning on making a Paladin. I would really appreciate it if you could critique what I have thus far, and tell me what I should add/remove. Thanks a ton in advance. The build thus far: Warforged/Polearm or Sword 'n Board. I was thinking polearm for the increased range to mark with but the shield would convey an additional AC bonus. At Will's: Holy Strike and Enfeebling Strike. Domain Power : Power of the Moon on Enfeebling strike. Lvl 1 Daily: Blazing Brand OR Majestic Halo. Lvl 2 Utility: Call of Challenge or Virtue. Lvl 3 Encounter: Hold Fast. I was thinking of Endurance and Intimidate for skills and Athletics or Perception for the others. Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated, especially with the weapon dilemma. Expand all images
Steampunk setting. The BBEG's lair is a mechanical bordello running on clockwork. The players will bust it. Any ideas what they might encounter? Ideas so far: The mechanical assassins from Doctor Who (The Girl in the Fireplace) Mechanical bouncers. Heavy build, disregarding all pretenses of human look, yet overall humanoid shape Clockwork strumpets, of course
I'm a cleric in the group. I basically pull the party around, I'm the one who does the talking (oddly with a charisma penalty, the DM says it's represented by the fact that I'm a huge, overbearing half-orc) and generally Get Shit Done. Now, the City Council knows that one of the Noble Families is seeking to assassinate the Child King and his Sister. So we hatch a plan: Have one of US get hired, fail on purpose, and expose the villain. At this point, the Dwarf Fighter steps up. With an 8 in both wis and int. We decide to humor him, and we plan the eventual excraction of his unconcious body from whatever shit he may land himself in like the last two players did. He buys small bags, flour, cinnamon, and thunderstones. Then four shovels. Then he buys three blank spellbooks. In these spellbooks, he writes the names of three of the leading men of the Noble Houses, painstakingly forging their signatures. (Natural 20 on forgery check) This completed, he garbs himself in peasent clothing, waits for a party at the suspect's house, then goes next door. Upon bluffing his way into their basement with his +1 CHA, he tunnels from one basement to the other, and successfully sneaks all the way into the bedroom of the nobleman, bombing two of the gaurds with cinnamon and flour, as well as deafening them. When the nobleman goes to bed, the Dwarf leaps out of his wardrobe, introduces himself, and gets the job, negotiating almost all the pay up front. 2000 gold now, 3000 after the deed. He then goes to our wizard, who disguises two dead bodies to look like the king and his sister. Then the Dwarf does "What any stupid Dwarf would do" and hands them over... in front of the Council. We still don't know what the fuck he's planning for the books. Message too long. Click here to view the full text.

The year is 1955 and America is in a New Golden Age. Clean, safe atomic power supplies cheap electricity for all the conveniences Mr. and Mrs. American enjoy, from the atomic toaster (pictured), to the latest domestic robots! Mr. American waves goodbye to his lovely wife as he takes his V-12 Oldsmobile on the 16-lane superhighway from his suburban home to his job in the city. After a short cleanup, Mrs. American enjoys a leisurely day of watching soap operas on her color DuMont with Trideo! Meanwhile Sally and Billy are off to school on the robo-bus. Billy is studying math and engineering and hopes one day to be a scientician. Sally isn't sure whether she wants to be a nurse or a teacher when she grows up, but makes sure to take plenty of home economics courses so she can land a husband. Now Mr. American is home and dinner is already waiting, thanks to the GE Trivection oven. After dinner, the family enjoys a show on the DuMont and turns in early, ready for another big day! Yes, life in the Atomic States of America sure is swell. Unless you are a punk. A free-thinking beatnik, an independent greaser, a bolshevist questioning the status quo, a Women's Libber selling birth-control pills like a crack dealer, or a bitnik, dabbling in tube-based radio and computation devices derived from the works of Alan Turing. Life in the Atomic States is far from swell when you aren't a white, male Protestant. -Sister of Nurgle- Introduction The corrupted sister, Apphia, roamed across the battlefield. The scorched earth crunched sickly underneath her boots as she made her way around the rotting dead. Father Nurgle had been successful in the battle and now all that remained was to enjoy the spoils of war. His daemons had made quick work of the pitiful planetary defence force and the first steps were being taken to completely infest the planet. Already, spores and scourges rained on the world. It pleased her that this formerly desolate wasteland would soon be teeming with life. Apphia still retained most of her former beauty, but her loveliness was only skin deep; beneath this shallow veneer she had been blessed and filled with gifts from Nurgle. Her new purpose in life was to spread those blessings. It was a task that consumed her, the constant hunt for purity. The moans of a worthless mortal alerted her to a wounded guardsmen twitching weakly and gurgling in his own blood. She was surprised that any human had survived, but now she had a chance to bring another into the fold. The guardsman looked up at the Sister of Battle that approached him with glazed eyes. Although her face was clean and healthy, her armor was encrusted with filth and all manner of scourges that were nestled among it. The noble fleur-de-lis, which symbolized her former order, had been replaced with the pulsating mark of Nurgle. The overwhelming stench of death and decay followed her like a billowing mantle of pestilence to which she wrapped around herself. The guardsman had begun to choke the moment the fetid air had enveloped him. Apphia smiled at her luck. She had found someone in need of help and as her corrupted grin widened a worse smell began to fill the air. She straddled the lying guardsman and forcefully thrust her tongue into his mouth, choking him as the putrid slime worked its way down his throat forming lesions and sores Message too long. I need some homebrewing help, or atleast a good system that will fit this. I'm thinking an RPG in the vaguest sense to be kind of like Fable 2 and Exalted. It"ll take place on Earth. Although it can technically take place at any period of time, anywhere, I'm thinking sometime in the 12-1600s. There will be handcannons, but gunpowder/guns will be considered a 'black art'. This period is also fairly old while having some technology. So this will be Earth with several exceptions. Fantastical races will exist. Initially atleast, they won't be playable. Elves, depending on region could be the mischevious little fucks who hide in forests, although I"ll try to base things more around folklore than tolkien-esque fantasy. "Heroes" exist, which are like the folk who could make Rambo look like a girl scout. They will still be mortal, however, and certainly not like Solar Exalted with their perfect defenses. In a sense, it will be more of a setting building game than a nation building game. Again, I chose this time period because it can be pretty traditional while having technology still. Societies/PCs may prefer science over religion, technology over magic etc. They could use wizards, or introduce the gun & pike combo. PCs may die off after each arc, maybe a die is rolled to see if the kingdom they built fell or progressed etc., their past accomplishments affecting the present in some way. While you can effect history, you can also change reality itself, with realities being able to parallel shifting trends. If PCs all accept the idea of the world being flat and destroy concepts saying otherwise, the world WILL be flat. Religion may end up as a mere superstition, very real like in the Old Testament or in between. Eventually, you could have 1960s America fighting Steampunk WW2 Germany populated by aryan elves. So mind will alter matter in a slow, not directly no Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
I got bored and made some. Puzzles are /tg/ related, right? Anyway, I don't know, try and have fun or something. If you guys like them I can make more in a pretty reasonable amount of time (assuming I'm not busy questan).
Regular /tg/ was no help, so I decided to take my query here. Here's the deal. I'm getting back into 40k, and I need some advice for what colors to paint my Tau army. Here's what I have to work with. Plus a can of white primer. Thoughts?
/tg/ is down. Prepare for the worst
Because it was one of /tg/'s better ideas. Templates: http://www.mediafire.com/?zexnj1xymjx
Your current Campaign tgchan! Whatever the system! What's it about? How's it going so far? Players good, bad, indifferent? Any interesting stories to tell about it? Or even stories about campaigns from the past? Surely there's got to be a few running 'round these parts, so lets hear about them!
Because /tg/ is being shit on by a janitor.
If u guys get a free minute could u help bulk out www.1d4chan.org with your mighty brains. Its abit aparse for good articles so anything u write could help. Ta in advance.
The local lad see him beating the man prozzy up and aprihend him tossing him off the skiff into the ocean. He fails his swim checks several times and has to abandon his handcannon, combat shotgun and bone sword to stay afloat and get to shore. He calms down. He attempts to cast away the sword but his will power wont let him. As the mission moves on the loaction changes. they three players are in an alley. On player has two bionic arms and one bionic leg the other is a short feral guardsman. He attamps to banish the blade again but fails epicly. He Goes off his tits horney and attempts the rape the short guardsman (a PC btw) He suscedes the opposed strengh check epicly and starts to violate his arsehole. The othe rPc steps in and throws him off. A battle comences. After a while the game switchs to an inner battle between himself and the demon of the sword. The demon win. His pysical form is split into two demonettes and one demon of slanesh. The demon escapes and the demonettes are killed. Dont make pacts with chaos gods.
Heres the tale of my latest DH game. in a previous game an acolyte made a pact with the dark god slaneesh to be the most powerful warrior in the imperium. He was blessed with an ancestoral sword and +20 to all BS checks. However the sword must Taste the blood of an innocence once a day. Corruption pionts would be gained form killing demons with the sword and lost by killing good guys. He went in stasis for 6 days meaning that his blood had gone thirsty. As a result his sword was parched of blood and therefore something bad happened. He Felt mind bendingly horney and was attracted to man women and beast. He snuck off form the group in a bid to sate his urge and foud a prostitue. he blancked out during sex and when he reawoke he had beatan her senseless. he leaves the bordello only to be persured by a male protitue who he attempts to fuck but is unable to get an erection. In his frustration he beats the prozzy and chases him into the street.
Distrubing lack of Battletech drawfaggotry...
Alright, boyos, listen up. I'm gonna be doing a Call of Cthulhu adventure on IRC, and I'm looking for investigators. So far I've got 2 guys enlisted, but I'm gonna need a couple more. It'll be my first attempt at GMing CoC, so I'll probably use a pre-generated adventure to start things off easy. Where and when will be determined once I know the availability of all involved. If you're interested in playing, post in this thread. If I get too many, I'll probably either make 2 separate groups and alternate between the two, or just rotate the players within the group. So what do you think?
Okay so 4chan's /tg/ told me to come here. Show me your moves.
http://kothor.wikia.com/wiki/Gunslinger_%283.5%29 Any thoughts on how to balance the class? Instead of giving the class spells, I gave it the ability to cast weapon enchantments on bullets instead, so you could have keen bullets, enervating bullets, etc.
HellMOO is a post-apocalyptic text based role-playing game. It is set after an atomic conflict has brought down the great civilizations of the 21st century. Enough time has passed that some towns and vestiges of society have returned, but not nearly enough to curb the inherent violence and conflict of a life lived without comfort or salvation. Corporations both ancient and new sit astride the few surviving cities like obscene, glittering spiders, wielding their power over their desert domains without question and without mercy. The fake smile, the furtive stare are the weapons of the city-dweller, forever dependent on their corporate masters for protection against the raiders and radioactive sands. Yet a few wander the wastes, living off the bones of the old world and whatever justice they can find at the end of their gun. Only time will tell who is stronger. Here are a few of the things our players have said about HellMOO: "The shocking depravity of HellMOO is really a huge asset, because it makes the initial stages of the game entertaining enough to get past that early MUD hump. This style of game tends to have a significant learning curve and time investment before the real fun happens. In HellMOO, you're hooked by discovering all the terrible things you can do to orphans, and all the while the depth of the game is subtly revealing itself. In the average MUD you have to slog through a bunch of horribly boring shit with the hope that something fun might come out of it later." "The more I play this, the more I love it. Unbelievably awesome work. I never knew what a terrible person I was before. Thanks, HellMOO!" "I think the best way to describe HellMOO is a hundred thousand Troma flicks smashed together into something you can interact with. Assfucking zombies, having plutonioum-rod fights, smoking a bong full of hyperganja and having a stick of dynamite go off in your hand because yo Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
So, Monsterpocalypse Anyone else play? How about a general discussion thread?
Sup fa/tg/uys. Do me a favor and post your favorite SPESS MURHEENS armylist. Show some skin.
I put this up on /tg/ a while back, but couldn't check the thread after. Could someone tell me if these are balanced and/or well designed?
as anyone here ever tried Sword World of Night Wizard, the Japanese pen and paper RPG's? My group has expressed interest in trying them, but finding a translated version seems impossible, and I really don't want to go though the trouble of having someone do so if they suck.
i cant believe it took me this long to find this place. hello everyone! i hope you welcome me and my crappy artwork ^^ i hear this is where the drawfags went, so i came here too, as i am a fag of the drawings.
Anyone doing the Zendikar PR this weekend? Also, general MtG thread.
I noticed that 1d4chan did not have an article about tgchan or any of it's content. Should tgchan material be edited into 1d4chan? Does tgchan need an own wiki? Does it HAVE a Wiki already, that i just don't know about? Discuss and Inform!
Hey guys, remember /meep/? Those were indeed the halcyon days, so long ago...
In This Thread we make a campaign setting together, contributing only a single thing per post. The rules are simple. Read the thread first, and don't post anything that contradicts previous posts. Try to make the campaign usable, no sexual stuff. That said, feel free to completely deny fantasy cliche`s. Elves may be hard motherfuckers and dwarves pansies, etc. You are limited only by the character limit of your post. Due to the slower nature of tgchan, Instead of simply limiting to just one idea per poster, you can post as many times as you want, so long as someone else has posted since you last have. So basically no doubleposting. I'll start us off: Elven technology is based entirly on magically fueled clockwork. The intricacies of this craft are carefully guarded elven secrets, but because the creation of socially functional Clockwork Automaton is considered a rite of passage in Elven Society, all adult elves are masters of clockwork technology, a fact they lord over the 'lesser races' whever they get a chance.
This guy. Everything from him.
I don't know if anyone remembers or cares about Rat Ass, but I promised some writefaggotry for it long ago, but it's still a work in progress, and I'd rather not work on it if no one remembers what the fuck it's about, so I'm just going to post my story board to possibly incite some interest.

Flarefag here.. Sorry guys I didn't think it would boil over into this place. I respect tgchan for being it's own little community. You will probably ban this, but i'm just letting you know. I talk to oniontrain almost daily on this stuff... and haven't said anything about it on /tg/.
/tg/ is now for /tg/ discussion alone and /questdis/ has been made an image board for all your quest porn making needs. Enjoy.
This is some writefaggotry on WH40K universe. It's just a part of a novel I writted for a forum. Unofortunately my mothertongue is not English and I found some difficulties in translating the "feel" of the original faggotry. Hope it's grimdark enough. He was threw against the wall like a puppet. -Bastards!- he screamed, but he received as an answer only the mocking laughs of his jailers. Obscurity blinded him like black velvet. –Bastards!- muttered again. He rested on the wall and let his body slip on the hard and cold pavement, the taste of blood in his mouth. He rested his face in his hands and leapt up. He touched his eyebrow and noticed it was swollen. –Bastards- whispered for the third time, with no expectations. He felt his legs no more, they beat him up, hitting him savagely on the face, on the chest, on his genitals. “Bastards”, he did not have the strength to say it another time, he just think it. His body was full of bruises and open wounds. He was hit without mercy, abused like a sack of meat, they annihilated his humanity. Truncheons mauled his body with terrifying indifference. His life or death was unimportant for the jailers. He couched in a corner, flexing his leg to his chest and embracing them to better bear the stinging cold. He barely held the tears, he did not let those bastards have this satisfactions. They didn’t drive him at this point, not yet. Someone in the next cell was sobbing, whispering “Mommy, mommy, mommy…” with a stutter voice. He was not at that point yet. He wanted to say “stop it” to that poor bastard, but his throat was dry and painful. He gulped blood and saliva, to find a temporary relief to the parching thirst tormenting him. He slipped slowly in slept. -Bastards- said in a whisper before fall asleep. -Impressive- said the man in the black armor, flicking trough the file he was holding –Impressive without any Message too long. ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!
Welllll its not /tg/ with out either 40k or edition wars so lets have some 40k
PAINTING
ITT we discuss the Unified Setting. Anyone still interested in working on it, post here. Let's get the ball rolling again.
We need a Hordes/Warmachine discussion thread.
Now, I know this board is probably fully composed of fellow drawfags, but since new content is always needed...Want something drawn?

WTF? 4chan is down, I check if there are worthwhile /tg/ boards elsewhere, and come across this trainwreck? Srsly, if a board consists ONLY of questfags and the associated furfaggotry, you should pull the plug and move on. Damn, what undiluted SHIT!(IP address has canceled browse tgchan: interrupted by Elephant.)
It seems some of you rubes need a history lesson! Before there was RubyQuest, there was Crossing Pals, a bunch of Animal Crossing themed MS Paint comics that Weaver posted to /v/. Within these gems, our future protagonists germinated, although their personalities were a tad different. Ruby: Just the girl next door with a severe case of hyposexomania. She desperately wants to get into Tom's pants. Tom: All around straight man and long-suffering target of Ruby affections. And the rest. Enjoy!
Magic: the Gathering smut you say?
hey guys, i'm a novice DM and i'm running a 3rd level game via pbp, and one of my players made a gruwaar sorcerer with a create trap ring. I think it's one of those rings that gives you a level 1 spell and you can use it at will. He's using it to make scything traps that does 1d8 damage with bonus attack +8 and using them to fight the monsters etc. i think it's kind of unbalanced, what do you guys think?
So, uh, like... how do you feel about the first part of GodQuest? I missed it, but the archived thread was quite entertaining. Weaver's drawing has improved, too. Especially on the color palette part. I'm most surprised how it translated into gobs of instant fanart though. And quite good stuff, at that.
/tg/ refugee here. let's try and get a Xomula pic dump going. Xomulan Plague Militia, Deep Ones Astartes, Nurgle-infested xenos, whatever you've got, if you've got anything.
You guys sure are slow. here's some of my scribbleshit. Look I am ( lazily ) coloring now. :D
Now that it's been out for awhile, has anyone actually played the Mouse Guard RPG? Is it any good? After looking through the combat rules, they seemed way too abstract to be any good, but I can't really decide without having actually played it, or hearing a verdict from someone who has.I really hope it's good. It's definitely unique and an interesting, down to earth setting. A bit Dwarf-Fortress insofar as you have dudes fighting giant (to them) dangerous monsters without the benefit of magic or powers.

So, I'm just going to make a character portrait thread now. Most of it will probably be sci-fi.
I want to run a Risus game on Gametable for a group of 5~6 players bi-weekly. The players are all cutebolds, and although I am using Risus, the game isn't meant to be completely ridiculous. The whole campaign is planned out, and is mostly exploration/problem solving. I want to make characters/run the first session tomorrow, and sessions would be 1-3 Central time on a couple of weekdays a week. The whole campaign involves custom tiles and sprites by Slowpoke/Harbl, and I think he's talked to a couple of people on here about the game. Anyway, if your interested, let me know. I am looking for 3-4 players (I already have 2). http://www222.pair.com/sjohn/downloads.htm#Risus http://gametable.galactanet.com/#download
So it looks like a couple core players to our main game won't be there Sunday. So I was asked to run a one shot. Well I dipped into my usual bag of tricks and everyone groaned. Then after great contemplation I ran across this picture. A lot of my group digs Stargate so I figured what the hell. Why not a game about a decade or two after the SGC goes public and all the zaibatsus get their greedy little fingers into the galactic pie. Perhaps a story about some sort of terrorist backlash to humanity's progress throughout the stars. Gentlemen I propose Stargate: Space Vietnam.
So. Changeling time
Things DMs do that drive you absolutely batshit insane.WHY, MAN? WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I ROLL UP A FIGHTER, WE ONLY FIGHT ARCANE SPELLCASTERS? THAT'S FUCKING RIGHT, ALL OF THEM DID, AND NOW THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE A BATTLE ROYALE TO SEE WHICH ONE GETS TO FINISH ME FIRST

How does tgchan feel about getting some DF succession game running? I figure this board moves slowly enough and is bereft enough of trolls to possibly pull it off.
Was this place created just as a sanctuary from the rampant stupidity of 'real' /tg/? I'm just curious about what you've got going here. Also this is not DriblisQuest continued, but I am Driblis.
Hey, why are Sergal faces so long, anyway? They don't have any front teeth, so it's not like they need it for biting. Seems it'd just get in the way.Or do they have some front teeth that are just too small to normally be noticed?

Before that other thread gets filled with porn...You know you play it, /tg/chan. What's your Pokemon pal pad number thing? It's time to start some breedan, trainan, battlan on this board. Also, if you have PBR, post that too.In the meantime, I'd suggest you talk about the current party and playstyle you use. I tend to favor Double Battles because it's less over-analyzed like the main game and you can get away with a larger variety of teams there. Plus, the Eeveelutions rock at it, and I love those guys. And then, if you absolutely must post poke-girls, I guess you can do that here, though it will NOT help the board's reputation in the least. At least to start, let's keep things tasteful maybe.

In this thread, we will discuss nonstandard species we've played or seen played. Use your judgement on what 'standard' means. Have you ever played catfolk? Or lizard-folk? Or sentient gelatinous cubes? Or Sergals? What effect did this have on the game? Was your experience improved from the effort?Pic related. Squibs are awesome. They're quirky, and have a reputation as harmless traders. One time, I was playing a Squib soldier in Star Wars d20. We had to get past some gangers, so my guy ran up to them, noisily trying to sell them a gun he was holding. When they rolled their eyes and tried to ignore him, the Squib shot them all at point blank.

Blatant Trolls will be banned on sight, this means sagebombers, WRYYYYYfags and anyone that writes a short, insulting /b/-worthy reply will be banned instantly and all their posts will be deleted. There will be no warnings. Constructive criticism is allowed and encouraged so long as the poster is polite and does not continue to repost the same criticism over and over after the author/artist/creator has said "No."
So what the fuck is this? Got a link from Threadquest archive. Is this just /tg/ minus TROLLS TROLLING TROLLS?
So I've been working on getting a few players somewhere up to speed with Mutants & Masterminds, as we're attempting to convert an old campaign of ours for it. I've got a few questions before we start playing, though.Toughness save effects are extremely iffy in terms of how easy it is to have stun lead straight to repeated stuns because of your action loss. Does Defense really balance their effects out, assuming you would rather not trust your fate to luck?Is Magical Mastery the best way to emulate a D&D Cleric pre-4E?
