WTF? 4chan is down, I check if there are worthwhile /tg/ boards elsewhere, and come across this trainwreck? Srsly, if a board consists ONLY of questfags and the associated furfaggotry, you should pull the plug and move on.

Damn, what undiluted SHIT!

(IP address has canceled browse tgchan: interrupted by Elephant.)

A lot of us already have.

Sorry anon, there's really no good strictly /tg/ boards out there anymore. Even /tg/ itself is shit these days.

The board quality went down pretty quickly since I last been here. Where are the drawfag threads? Where's Sir Double Faggot? Where is the settings discussion?

It's all gone, thanks to Reaver and the insurmountable wall of quests in the channel and over in #quest.

If you don't talk about a quest you're not going to get any replies, unless it's a meta thread like this one.

What?

And where's Sir Double Faggot? Where's Draquito? Or Banhammer-kun?
>>
No. 1325 ID: d75539

I've been meaning to get more of my drawfag thread's requests done, and yes, it's a bit irritating, but Reaver updating near constantly tends to sap attention away from the namesake of the chan.

If Reaver is fucking up the boards, why don't you guys throw him out then? I don't know why it's such a problem.

All of his stuff is too good and he's a workaholic.
He might be taking a break for a bit, though, so feel free to provide content.

Sir Double Faggot quit the internet.

B& is busy doing furfag commissions

Draquito is taking a break from internet requests and focusing on art school stuff, or so I heard.

Draquito quit tgchan because in his eyes it turned into a feast of faggotry.

And of course anyone questioning the great tgchan overlords gets a ban! Hooray!

It's less a problem of him fucking up the boards, and more he's making /quest/ outshine /tg/.

It's a problem of fucking up the boards. If /quest/ stuff is posted everywhere on this site and the moderators don't do shit to clean it up, except to ban people shaking their little world, something is really wrong.
>>
No. 1334 ID: d75539

>>1333
Could probably fix the problem by having the /questdis/ board changed to an image board, and moving any /quest/ related threads on /tg/ to that board. I'll talk with Flynx about it now.

Nope. People posting unproductive flames with obvious intent to troll get the banhammer. You are fine.

If you've got a problem, voice it. Don't say "Damn, what undiluted SHIT!". Also check out the OP's pic. Troll. We don't like them.

Speaking of 4chan being down, at the moment there's a server change going on so posting's disabled.

If you've been unable to view the site for the past few days, it's probably because you still have the stuff in your hosts file from when 4chan's DNS server was down last year. Go back to your hosts file and get rid of all the stuff you added and you should be able to view the site again.

Ha ha ha
What rule is that breaking? You can't hand out a ban for "TOO ENTERTAINING". A lot of stuff on /quest/ is entertaining enough to warrant attention that much of tgchan lacks. Once this /tg/ board finds its niche I'm sure it'll flourish as well. /quest/ took a long time to take off, but once it found its groove, it bloomed.

I'm also noticing a predictable backlash, both on 4chan's /tg/ and here, against quests. Such is the way for anything popular.
I can think of a few dozen things that make /tg/ a shitty board before I have to get to quests. There are so many worse things plaguing that board I don't know why everyone acts like quests are the new cancer.

This is what happened when I thought some slightly sarcastic critic after the chapter was finished would be ok on a chan.
But no, Weaver literally exploded on #RubyQuest and needed lots of ass pats from his fans to calm down again. Of course the thread was cleaned by mods to spare his precious ego.
It wasn't even my intention to troll him, but apparently it was more than enough.

2 posts is spamming?

No.

Spamming is when someone just dumps their 'random' directory with 'sage' in the e-mail field. That's spamming.

I define spam as unhelpful, unproductive, obnoxious posting. I call posting dozens of pictures flooding.

regardless of the name, those posts had nothing to contribute to that thread and were posted for the purpose of annoyance. They get the nuke and he gets the boot.

Hmm...I had never seen it that way before. I'm going to take the time to consider that in the future.

To me it seems a lot more troll than critique. About 70% troll, 30% critique. The funny picture and layered sarcasm is what made me think this. What is the percentage from your point of view?

/tg/chan is open, free, friendly, and wonderful. Anyone who disagrees with the pure enjoyment to be found here is a terrible person, and is better off killed for the good of the world.

>But no, Weaver literally exploded
I don't think you understand what "literally" means.

If you had a legitimate complaint other than "live burial is a common theme in the collective social consciousness and its works", it might have compensated for the fact that your comment was repetitively sarcastic to the point of redundancy, but as it was that whining sarcasm all that really remained.
On top of that, there's the counterpoint about how the trope was implemented, and then even more importantly, the fact that the scene itself was a direct reference to the (rather well-known) movie The Vanishing, so the fact that you've seen it before was sort of the point.
It also didn't help that on top of saying NOPE NEVER SEEN THAT NO SIREE NEVER EVER NOT ONCE IN THE HISTORY OF TIME you were also posting shitty reaction images. Leave that shit somewhere else.
Would it have been so much trouble to actually voice your criticism in the regular way, rather than resorting to /v/-style reaction images and shit? I mean, you could've just said "I feel that the inclusion of live burial in any form or context is automatically trite, because it is so overused".

I'm just saying that I think if you have something valid to add, whether it's positive or negative, it can be expressed in a reasonable and decent way. Trolling as a bannable offense isn't unreasonable. There's no reason we can't just discuss things in a civil way without resorting to reaction images, greentext, samefagging, internet tough guy-isms, or any of that shit that's been spread slowly outward from /b/ and /v/.

I don't think "don't act like a jerk" is asking too much. And anyway, there's always 4chan if you prefer it.
