This guy in front of me was a decoy!

You can't exactly turn your back on the guy in front of you with a sword... Tell the girl to get behind cover, then circle around your opponent to get him in between you and the archer, using him as a meat shield. This gives you some cover until you dispatch him, at which point you go after the archer.

throw sword and rush him.

grip the arrow with your teeth and pull it out. and turn around now. the archer would have to fire through his buddy to shoot you.

Depending on the distance and speed it might be better to finish off the guy with a blade to your back... but in either case, you should make sure to tell the girl to keep her head down.
