>What myths do you know? Do you believe in any of them?
Let me tell of you a soon-to-be myth of the Tenth of Nine. Vlora Victus diVile, ArchMagus of the Flesh. This is how she came to earn her names.
Her first name was given to her by a whore mother. Vibrant Vlora, the youngest of far too many, a child no one cared much about. She twisted and grew, little Victim Vlora. Picked on for her looks, her speech, her abominable personality. But what she also did, poor Voracious Vlora, is learn. Devouring knowledge. Every book, scroll, and scrap of paper she could find. And yes, she may have… experimented. Nothing alive, of course. Not until she was skilled enough to keep them that way. To know a thing, you must see its Veins. Study how every little bit connects to another. And when she was finally prepared, she descended. And oh, how Venomous that power felt running through her. How low she went. Not enough to fracture, true, but extraordinarily close to her end nonetheless. And young Vlora Vocal began to make noise. And they noticed.
Oh, Vivacious Vile, she impressed those who held the reins of sorcery. She was Vivacious! Vainglorious! Vindicated! She left the Vile home with her name adorned ‘di’. So, all who knew of the Basin’s deep history would know her as diVile. Blood of the Blooded. She went to the Shorn Abyss and became diVile Valedictorian. But she sequestered. Oh, the envy she felt from her lessers. Mutual disdain it's true, but it festered in their hearts. Perhaps that’s why they were sloppy. Why they cost her so, so much that one day. The day that turned into a week, which turned into a month which turned into years into CENTURIES-
She was put into a hell. There she gave herself another name. Her last for now. Victis. For she would be Victorious. Always. And she was. She survived. And when she was escaped… well the Voracious and Venomous Violent Victus Valorously delivered upon her Vain and Villainous peers… evil.
One day, even the gods will know her. And fear.
Vindictive. Vlora. Victus. diVile.
