When you're out of clothes and still playing, you bet favors.
Obviously, for some favors the person that won might have to take off obstructing clothes. I mean, yeah, it defeats the purpose, if you're going to win you're supposed to keep the clothes on but how you gonna use them favors with 'em on?

Really though, there is no compelling reason to believe that she is pregnant. Mood swings and irrational anger are not uncommon behaviours for people who have gone through traumatic experiences to exhibit.

We don't know what dragon fertility cycles are like, and how they interact with laying eggs and stuff, which is a factor for Grentonis. And wouldn't there be hormones and stuff going on? Do dragons smell that shit? No clue. Guess we'll find out in the next three weeks though. Apparently how long it takes before egg laying, based on thread 1 info.

With those claws? Sounds iffy. Plus, he can hardly make out with himself, now can he? And how can we be sure he'll have time tomorrow? It could leave evidence if he did that, too. It's clearly not as good an option.

>>/quest/442638
1)It might not be with another dragon, but it makes sense that it would still make him more confident in that field. After this, the normal thing should be less frightening by comparison! What makes you think the Splanchnologist would have no emotion for it, though?
2)Aside from the tentacles, it seems pretty conventional. Though that is kind of a major thing.
3)ITQ is all about breaking the fourth wall and such shenanigans. Does it bother you when other characters do it? And I suppose you'd disagree, but this situation looks pretty goofy.

>>58612
Yeah, I noticed the claws too, but I figured that was more of an abstraction for ease of drawing. Surely he has palms? Then again it hasn't really been distracting him much in the quest, despite what Dessen says.

Dessen has been shown to go for these sorts of things for entirely pragmatic purposes. It feeds off of bodily fluids, like it says. My impression is that any emotion Dessen would have in this context would be awkwardness or amusement, maybe even a faint sense of disgust, up until the end when the 'meal' arrives.

The tentacles are entirely what is weird about it. It wouldn't be like being intimate with a dragon at all, and not a girl either! Dessen is genderless, and Boaga is a straight male without any xenophilic tendencies as far as we can tell.

It does bother me a little when characters ask other characters questions via ITQ. At one point it got a bit out of control, but I think it's been like, over a year since I've had any serious objections to it. That PARTICULAR type of question that Dessen has asked bothers me far more. Like I said, power fantasy character, self-insert fanfic, etc.

Still, it seems awkward and wouldn't give him the same sort of experience.
In his time awake it's come up a few times (between Gren and Dil) and given him pause each time. The fact that he might have actually considered it seems like an indication of potential trouble. It's still definitely no time to be doing it with Gren, who may have more strange mood swings.

I don't think that's been shown to be the case, or if it has, it might not always be. It does seem to like Bo in some way, at least. That's something he could ask about if it seems like a concern, too.

As far as xenophilic tendencies go, what's the harm in finding out?

Interactions with Maolla are the only ones I can remember that involved anything other than stuff like... hugs. And that was Maolla.
>>
No. 58618 ID: e3f578

He could learn endurance, which is pretty important.
It might be awkward for Boaga simply because it's a sensation he's never felt before, but I think that's all. He probably won't get any more sense of awkwardness from sex with Dessen then sex with Gren simply because both sensations will be completely alien to him. I don't think Bo will also be able to determine what Dessen is feeling from the experience because the guy will be so wrapped up in his own sensations he won't be able to tell what the big cosmic confusing thing is thinking, nor will he care to. Instinct will probably take over by then.

Besides having awkward sex now will probably make his next encounter, with whoever it may be, less awkward simpley because he knows what the fuck he's getting into sensation wise. He ain't gonna go big-eyed and get his o-face immediately after that because he'd be slightly prepared for the instense nerve feedback.

Ehhhhh... I still don't think it's important enough to require anything more than masturbation.

Well Toastline would be the authority here, I'm just stating my impression from what I've seen of Dessen in NQ and its related quests, where it's had the most screen time.

No harm I suppose. I just think it's unlikely that he'll enjoy it much. I suppose that's no reason to avoid trying it at all though, since he can stop if it IS too weird for him.

Even the attempt bothers me.

>>58619
It may not be. You're missing the idea what I'm offering is more than simply relief.

To be quite honest, I only make an offer like this to a small selection of those I consider my friends. I'd experience amusement and disgust well after the 'meal' arrived. These are familiar to me. It's more important that our dragon friend enjoys the experience, and gets something out of it. That I acquire some fluids is a welcome bonus, but it's hardly the purpose in this case.

I wouldn't make the offer if I didn't expect him to enjoy it. Similarly, I wouldn't want to force him into anything he disliked.

The attempt to have hugs bothers you?

So britishhat asked trout to draw his ponchbo story, and trout seemed like he wasn't willing to do it. But little does anyone know, Trout actually did draw it! And he gave the images to me to keep in secret forever.

But then he made fun of me so that went out the window.

I WILL NOW PRESENT THE IMAGES TROUT AND NOT ME HAVE DRAWN.

Story reposted for convenience:

---

I'm not exactly sure how we ended up in this situation, but I was walking down this never ending road with Boaga on my back in an attempt to block the pouring rain. It was hard to tell whether I would have preferred being wet over being weighted down by the weight of a whole other dragon. At least Bo was pretty small.

We had been going along like this for about an hour with the only issue my tiring legs. Something was starting to bother me, though. The feeling of something poking me in the back. Figuring it was little more than idle daydreaming, I did my best to ignore it. What was harder to ignore was that his arms around my neck were beginning to tighten, making the whole uncomfortable situation even more so.

The rain had made the both of us somewhat slick, and he had been holding onto my neck with his forelegs to stay on my back. Perhaps that was causing some sort of... reaction, but I focused on the road ahead. The warmth of another dragon made the rain more bearable, but I would much rather be back in my cave. The grip around my neck get even tighter, and I could feel Bo sliding backwards off my back when-

“Ahh!” I shouted involuntarily, feeling a very sudden and uncalled for intrusion. My knees shook at the shock, and Bo began to shake, digging in his claws, nearly drawing blood. I turned to look back at him, doing my best to keep my pace, and his eyes were shut tight, a blush upon his face. He seemed to be extremely embarrassed, as was I with this unintentional act underway. I did my best to do the same, and I kept walking regardless of the dragon stuck inside me.

It wasn't an altogether unpleasant feeling, possibly... arousing, and I could tell Bo felt the same, his attempts to pull himself back up replaced with those to keep him in place. The motions of my walking stimulating the both of us, I could feel a blush heavy on my face as well, my breath was getting hotter, and so was Bo's, warm on my neck.

We continued like this for a minute or two, my pace slowed to a drunken saunter as the feelings continued to build. The pressure on my neck returned once again, but in a repetitive pattern, and I could immediately tell why. As he had begun slipping out, he pulled on my neck to push himself back in, and he loosened and tightened his grip to create a sort of rhythm.

At this point it was all I could do to stay standing, and he continued increasing in quickness. As I could feel him reaching climax, I wrapped my tail around him and pulled him in, my insides filling up as I too lost control of myself, collapsing to the ground. We added to the puddle we had fallen into, and I slumped my head to the ground, Bo resting his on my neck.

Neither of us said a word to each other, simply resting on the side of the road as a pile of content dragons. With the rain more intense than it was before, pounding all around me, it was then that I was the most glad I had him for a poncho.

Dragons is now in the graveyard. It's gone, along with my desire to continue it in any fashion. I had great plans for this quest, and I felt good about them once upon a time, but that's gone now, and in its place is regret and sorrow.

Dragons was my third quest here in TGChan, after the abortive Clockwork Bird and Soviet Hero. And there is a chance that it be my last. It was also the one closest to completion. Since its inception, Dragons was plagued by a great number of people who loathed the one off-screen rape I had included, and seemed to absolutely hate me and everything I ever did as a result. I'm not blaming them, however. I should have taken this as a sign to stop. But while it was running, I enjoyed it at times, and a few friends also seemed to like it, so everything was fine for a while. For a long time I was even updating daily. And Boaga is probably my most popular character overall, if fanart is anything to go by. However, after really realizing how many awful mistakes I've made with it and how it affects people's views of me, it hit me how badly I've fucked up, and subsequently have lost the urge to quest at all. I rarely even visit TGchan anymore, and I've stopped reading quests entirely. So I'm ending it. Slinkoboy once told me to never use this word, but: I REGRET ever starting this quest. I REGRET continuing it. And I REGRET how, because of some of the materal, it has become the basis on which people judge me.

So I apologize for anyone that I've offended over the course of the quest's life. It was a terrible thing and I shouldn't have done it. I can't say that alone excuses the harrassment I have recieved from some because of it, but that's in the past now. You guys won. I don't want to quest anymore, and I hope you feel accomplished in that.

As of right now, I am not sure how this will affect Soviet Hero (even though no one seems to be interested in that quest anymore), or any of the future quests I have had kicking around in my head. As I have said, I am not too keen on questing again, but who knows how that will change?

As the quest dragged on, I updated less and less, and I KNOW I lost readers. But if any of you out there are still interested, I can tell you what I had planned for the ending, which was close. Or, maybe, I could save it in the (likely vain) hope that I feel good enough about everything to either start it up again or write a conclusion.

And lastly, I apologize if my writing isn't coherent. I love questing and this is a very difficult decision for me, and it's hard to keep my thoughts straight. Thank you for reading Dragons, and I deeply apologize to those few of you who enjoyed it.

You should not regret anything. Your quest was entertaining and well thought out. There are plenty of odd quests on this board and I say to you what I would say to anyone here.

I thought that Dragons was generally excellent. In fact, the only mark against it that I can note was that it was frequented by shitheads who didn't take it seriously who lessened the enjoyment for everyone and kept away new readers. That's not on you, you shut them down just like you should have. If anything you should have done it sooner but it's a tricky issue and I think you handled it admirably.
>>
No. 70144 ID: 9ddf68

I really don't know how to say this so I'm just going to say it, Don't quit questing because of other assholes. If you want to quit questing because YOU want to then go ahead as it is your choice but you shouldn't quit just because some asshats said they didn't like your work. As for the whole rape seen in the beginning you really didn't come up with that, the questers suggested it so they hold just as much blame as you. Also you really shouldn't care to much what people on the internet think of you as most, if not all of them you will never even meat in real life and there are a group of people on the internet that only exist to piss other people off (coughtrollscough). As for the looking back and hating your older work... well that's actually kind of natural as you tend to learn things the more you do them so after questing for a while you start to learn the ins and outs and then can see the mistakes you might have missed when you started and people do change with time so there is that to. What I am saying is if you want to quit questing then you have every right to quit, but just do it because you want to quit not because of some pricks that don't like your work.

>they hold just as much blame as you

Hey hang on, don't imply that was our fault. Grennie was supposed to get raped by the knight, that was the entire driving force behind the quest. The event was the launching point for the story. We only had influence over the details.

I would just like to say that Soviet Hero was one of my favorite quests, and I am sad to see it go. I'm more neutral to dragons, but I did follow it as well.
>>
No. 70190 ID: 4e4163

Thanks for all your kind words. After a number of people came to me in IRC and said they did enjoy Dragons and they were sad to see it go, and now I feel quite a bit better about it. So instead of killing it outright, I'm just going to say it's on indefinite hiatus-- Meaning there's a chance that I'll come back to it, but probably not anytime soon. I'm sure that more than a few people would prefer this.

It was not so much the criticisms I received that lead to this, but just my own feelings of how I've conducted the quest so far. I feel like I haven't really done anything right with it at any point. I can't even bring myself to read it, because all I see is mistake after mistake after mistake. I know this isn't exactly the case, given that a lot of people have told me that they enjoy the quest, but it's something that I have been completely unable to shake.

I don't plan to quit questing entirely, especially not Soviet Hero. SH is the best quest I've done in my opinion, and after finally putting Dragons away and doing some reflection, I've regained a good amount of my drive to quest. You can expect me to start updating SH at least again, probably sometime this week. I'm even continuing with planning for my next quest. So, don't sweat it, it's just Dragons that's being quit. I'll still be around.

For what it's worth, I don't see the mistakes in Dragons that you referred to. I can see the characters *in* it making some mistakes, big ones, in-character; that's normal for interesting characters, and actually unusual among quests. But I don't see the serious mistakes you're talking about at the quest meta-level.

You picked a very serious topic, and introduced it right at the start. Then you turned it into the premise for a very interesting quest. That'll definitely polarize your audience, sure, but I have a hard time seeing it as a mistake, just a challenge to live up to. And I think the ensuing quest delivered on that challenge.

Taking a sizable break from it seems like a good idea. Right now, you're burned out on it, and you got a lot of negativity out of it, and as a result when you look back on it you see more of the bad than the good. The folks sending praise your way are the ones who look at your quest and see the good.
