You are Galliard Rashamon. You are in business as a purveyor of ill fortune, a product which you have in ample supply and are eager to be rid of. Unfortunately for you, there simply is not much demand for shitty luck.

Another boring day of no business has been going by in your Emporium of Ill Fortune and Assorted Cursed Antiquities (most of which became cursed due to your being in possession for an extended period of time), and you are considering closing early. You don't expect your one consistent customer to appear today anyway.

Get Pavane to grab your legs instead of your hand. Then you can hold onto the doorframe with both hands while she uses you to climb up.

Between pulling her up and having her use you as a stepping stone, you manage to get Pavane back up through the door.

'Now hurry into your room!'

>'But what about you?'

'I'll be up in a bit, hurry and get out!'

>'But I-'

'You promised, Pavane! Hurry!'

She climbs up into the door to her room.

Pulling her up was pretty tiring. You're sure you can keep hanging on, but if you try to hoist yourself up past the edge you might lose your grip and fall.

Your luck doesn't work that way. The only person who could have saved you just sent away. You're going to have to hoist yourself up yourself.

Why did you send her away before she helped you up?
What possessed you to think that was a good idea?

You, sir, are an idiot.

You better haul your own ass up, because if you fail here Pavane is going to sit in the escape craft waiting for you until she dies or comes back to get you. She is not going to give up on you.

Oh, wait, I should probably explain something here.

See that wall next to you? Normally called the floor? You can push against that with your legs to get quite a bit more leverage. Since your legs aren't tired at all you can basically walk your lower half up the floor and then pitch yourself over the doorframe.

With a burst of adrenaline, you manage to thrust yourself up past the broken doorframe before you slip into the darkness. Chancing a peek into the room below you, you are really glad that you decided to climb up when you did. You do not want to fall into that.

Ok, we just went from punching the turtle's designer in the face to horrible prolonged death or terrible permanent injury.
If you were a second faster you'd have been cut in half. That's how incompetent this guy is.

Go search for another escape pod. There have to be some un-launched pods on this deck. Right?

Oh, who am I kidding. Head to the bridge. They'll either be gone or have an escape pod you can use. If they're gone then try to fuck everything up as much as possible so you can either call fate's bluff or die in the most spectacular way possible.

Your luck has never gotten you killed, you realize that right? It doesn't allow you to because that would be too easy. If you jump after her you might end up in the shuttle... and with a concussion.

I stand by my terrible idea.

You really don't feel like jumping out of the ship. With as bad as your luck is, you figure it's probably not a very good idea to tempt fate by doing things that are deliberately suicidal.

You rush back down the hall, but can't find any unlaunched pods. Unable to find any, you decide to head to the cabin. Even if the escape pods are gone, you can probably still use the console for something.

Quickly scrounge up whatever supplies you can find in the escape pod, then head to the bridge. Since you can't get off the ship you're probably best off trying to get it under control.

>even if in extreme pain.

That's the part you're hoping to avoid.

And, you know, the whole 'dying' thing. The moment you take it for granted is the moment it'll bite you in the ass. Just like everything else.

It looks like there is an escape pod still here on the left! It seems like there's something wrong with the door, but peeking through it looks like everything is fine inside. The pilots probably both took the other pod when this one malfunctioned, since the one across the room has launched already.

>>406311

You are currently ON the bridge, and judging by the state of the console there's not going to be much controlling going on at all.

You can't find a refrigerator big enough to hide in. There is probably a storage box with some supplies in the unlaunched escape pod, that's as close as it gets.

You feel a bit light on your feet, and your stomach feels like it is rising up into your chest.

Your horn is apparently indestructible, but your neck is definitely not.

Rather than try to skull bash the door open, you opt to attempt to force your way through it. You manage to wedge the door open enough to squeeze through, but it's a really tight fit.
