>What do we do now?
"We'll meet up with Emmett, and you can decide what you want to do from there. From everything I know, he's planning on leaving Japan, doesn't want to stick around for too long. But there are groups around here who could use a Stellar's help to. Guess it's up to you in the end."
> is there any way I could get my memory back? Is suppression amnesia permanent?
"I don't know. I'm sorry I can't be of much help, but anyone who's been taken hasn't come back. You'd have to talk to someone who knows more about it then I do."
>So... what is normal for us around here? No enemy, and I assume you're not off making daring raids and rescues every day, nor that the court is constantly butting in.
"Most of us follow whatever desires we like. A lot of the Solars are idols and, uh... emergency workers, I guess is the best term for them. Lunars like me generally stay out of the way, support whoever we choose from the shadows, I'm a bit of an exception. Stellars... well, there aren't many around here. Then again, there's only five of us around here.
"So really, it's up to you how actively you want to help the resistance efforts."
>Hmm. Are there practical applications for what we do, or are our powers pretty much combat oriented?
"Combat. We were originally meant to fight the Great Enemy, and our powers are almost exclusively for that purpose, or for disguising ourselves to avoid notice in our everyday lives. I've never heard of anyone ever turning our powers to another purpose. Using our power openly like that would probably attract too much attention normally, actually. Might be possible here in New Tokyo though, or another free city out there in the world."
>Where do we live, what's our budget like, what changes those things, how much do we set our schedule and task list, what's our emergency beeper going to go off for, how often will that happen, when do we get to see Annette again, and should we be baking a cake, pie or something else as a thank you for the help so far?
Kaguya blinks at this, then begins giggling happily, eventually quieting down enough to answer with a large grin on her face.
"I prefer cakes, but I'll leave that to you. Annette, that's the woman that was in the military uniform right? She should be there at the meeting, assuming something didn't happen. Emmet is pretty understanding, though, so she should be fine. As for the rest, well, it'll be up to what you decide. Ah! Time for us to get off. Almost there."
Kaguya leads the way off the tram, and you find yourself in a region of relative quiet. It seems to be a residential area, houses filling the streets and even a convenience store at one end of the block. Kaguya hardly pauses though, continuing to make her way down the street. You note it's starting to get later, the sun beginning its descent, and you feel exhaustion starting to set in. You've done a lot today, and rest would be appreciated. Still, you keep pace, and eventually you find yourself being led down a few blocks off the main road before being ushered into one of the houses. Within, you find a couple members of the crew who'd saved you. You enter the living room area and spot Annette, who ceases her pacing with a relieved expression on her face. She seems to have discarded her military uniform in exchange for a more casual look, her blond hair pulled back into a ponytail that runs down her back.
"My lady. It's good to see you again. You're alright, not hurt?"
"I'm fine, Annette. Yourself?"
"I'm well, thank you."
Further discussion is interrupted as Emmet enters the room, looking a bit stressed but managing a small smile at seeing you.
"Good to see you. Hope you had a productive day."
"It's been... eventful. And educational."
"Well, I hope it got you up to speed. I hate to rush this, but we need to know: You plan on sticking around here, or heading out with us? We kinda have to leave, Court's on high alert for us, so it's best my little group leaves. You though, they aren't looking for as hard, and it'll be easier to keep yourself out of mind, sources we have tell us records concerning you are scarce after the base went up, and that's confirmed by Annette."
You glance at her, and she nods as she elaborates.
"Information concerning specific Bellator are kept confined to a specific base, as well as the main hub in Europe. Most who had access to your records did not make it out of the explosion, with the exception of myself, and the base in Kyoto is likely still reeling from the attack. Not much effort will be made to hunt you down or retrieve the proper records for a few months at least."
"Right. Still, that means we have to get out of the country. Like I said, it's up to you if you want to stick with us or stay here, there'll be opportunities to support the resistance either way. We plan on heading to the mainland, through Korea and into China to start with, and there are those in both nations that could use our help, while around here, there are a few factions that could use some help around here.
"I'm sorry I'm dumping this on you so fast, but we have to move pretty quick. If you've got question, you can ask them, but we don't have a lot of time."
