From before birth, it was chosen. A single soul plucked from infinity. It will be molded by the Gods, watched by the Gods and most importantly, guided by the Gods.

You as, as the Gods, must shape this soul into being. So let us start simple. Is it a boy or a girl? Oh, and keep in mind that the God that speaks first will have their will made manifest.

Right then, standard looting procedure. Not sure the three of you(and a horse if I recall) can carry a entire camp's worth of loot so focus on small, valuable things, supplies, and getting your bow and arrows back.

As for that other guy, he was likely smart enough to flee the moment he had the chance. He had no loyalty to Mewilk either so he's probably long gone.

Well young Mewilk, now that you have a small group, some spoils, and a good night's rest under your belt, may I suggest looking for the nearest town once you are done looting? They always have plenty to do there and we can sell any loot we find for funds.

Mewilk and Kirrel find Erio looting a corpse. Kirrel seems uneasy.

"Erio, I want you to meet Kirrel."
"A survivor?"
"Don't worry, she has taking the pledge."

Erio stands up and meets Kirrel eye to eye. Erio is silent as he stares into her eyes, making Kirrel's ears press against here head. He reaches his hand out to her and they lock wrists. It brings ease to Kirrel and a smile to Erio. Mewilk breaks the silence with a question.

"Kirrel, I have been meaning to ask. How did you wind up in the cage?"
"Ah, ha...I was running away."
"What a odd place to chose."
"Let me say that again. I was getting READY to run away. When Erio rode in last night swinging and killing, I thought it best to abandon camp. I loaded my mount up with what I could grab. Thought I better take Acru with me since he had a decent bounty on him. When I ducked into to grab him, he got me around the neck with his bindings."

She grabs her necklace pulls it back, demonstrating in a comical method.

"Pretty lucky he didn't kill me. When I woke up my mount was gone along with Acru."

"Yeah, I can be pretty terrifying."

Erio seems prideful as the words slip his lips. He turns his attention back to looting, putting small trinkets and coins into a sack. Mewilk turns his attention back to Kirrel.

"Kirrel, lets find what we can. Remember we can't grab everything."
"I have been looting for most of my life, Mewilk. It shouldn't be a problem."

The trio spend the next few hours pouring over the remains.

You're all so cute. Even Erio looks like he was once adorable. Anywho, try looting a few of those Man Catchers. They're a pretty interesting looking weapon, and we really need a Symbol for our chosen.

Search for anything that would make a good symbol actually. Something that is NOT a top hat. That's already the Symbol of Linux.

So! Um, man, I think you've got the whole "manhood" part down now for sure. I guess you could go back to your village now. But wouldn't it be more fun to just... go and have some sweet adventures?

But top hats are so classy...

Home? But he hasn't become a wizard yet, or even met one for that matter.
MAGIC PORTAL! There, I highjacked a summoning spell so there should be a wizard on the other side.

Ooh ooh! I wanna play with the chosen one too! I'm down for leading him around conquering the world. He's already got a couple decent commanders.

I'm not normally into dog-chicks, but they're both kinda cute ones too.

The top hat is kinda a lame symbol, but it's classy, so you can keep wearing it. You need something cool though... like a rainbow! Or a daisy! That would make a cool symbol. A daisy of blood and bones and ash!
>>
No. 428614 ID: 7c31d2

I like crabs. Can we give him a little crab familiar? With a top hat, monocle and a cane. Because gentlemen crabs need top hats monocles and canes.
>>
No. 428616 ID: cf49fc

>>428614
That's Cancer Mage's familiar. What we want is a ROCK LOBSTER! or any large riding crustacean really. But we need a symbol of our divinity, something NO ONE can deny that Mewlik is the true scion of the gods... How about a halo of light shining out of his head? That's always in style.
>>
No. 428625 ID: cdc0e8

Boys boys, settle down. First things first we need to establish that our Avatar is indeed our avatar. Got to take on something a bit bigger than a small camp. Make a name for Mewilk. Find some artifacts, old ruins, maybe kill a dragon or two. Basic stuff.

As for a familiar? Nothing yet. I say our boy should EARN his familiar. Crabs and rock lobsters are good and all, but if he could get something bigger and tougher, then by all means that should be his familiar.

For the hat? It's a nice hat, but hats don't offer support against arrows or fists to the face. Let's give it a practical helmet mode. Protect the noggin and his face.
>>
No. 428631 ID: 7c31d2

>>428625
Well, divine boons usually have extra powers, I don't see reason we can't have the hat make blows hit softer, or maybe give it a once a day barrier effect.
Also, crabs are awesome! How many other species would casually rip off their own arms and walk away?
>>
No. 428636 ID: cdc0e8

>>428631
Hmmm, softening blows would likely be good, but why not combine the two? Helmet form with blow softening? That way we have a little something extra to protect him.

As for the crab, may I direct you to the Honey Badger? A beast that has messed with things of various walks of life and simply takes what it wants? Bugger can be bitten by a venomous snake and it will get up and eat the bugger after a rest.
>>
No. 428644 ID: 7c31d2

>>428636
Top hats are the second best hat. Helmets aren't.
Also, honey badgers don't give a fuck about anything, what use is a familiar that doesn't give a fuck about it's owner, possibly even attacking its owner for food or fun?
>>
No. 428647 ID: 147853

I wish wolverines weren't played out, they're so cuddly. And they can take on a bear, and they can kill a moose. I'd like to see your honey badger kill a moose.

How about we compromise. A riding wolverine familiar with rock-lobster armor. Cuddly rock lobster armor of doom.

Because crustaceans and other critters too wussy to keep their bones inside are dumb.

we could give him the talent to be able to tame anything but only if he really really wanted to do so.
>>
No. 428684 ID: 147853

>>428658

I second this suggestion. Then he could have any kind of critter he wanted, heck, he could have a legion of Adorable Abominations. (Alliteration is Awesome.)

Also: He should totally go tuxedo mask style with his hat. Plus bond villain. So a mask comes down for armor mode, or he can throw it with amazing accuracy to cut junk up.

Sawsome.
>>
No. 428688 ID: cdc0e8

A simple beast tamer boon eh? Fair enough. If he finds something that strikes his fancy he can go for it. Might want to have him limit it to one thing though. Don't want him to befriend an entire forest. Would be too easy.
>>
No. 428860 ID: d94e2c

>>428688
How about we give him Beastmaster powers? Calm and compel animals, commune with them and see through their eyes? But lets hold off on that until he at least finds a new civilization. If he just gets a new power every day, thats kind of lame.

How about we manipulate the world instead for awhile? Make ourselves a new mission?

Sorry I'm late to this celestial party.
I was just cooking up a quest for Mewlik and Friends. It's still needs some more stirring for greater coherence but here are the raw ingredients:
>shooting stars in the nights-sky that point the way towards Mewlik's destiny
>A city-state being terrorized by a monster that seems to disappear in the surrounding woods
>Morale of the story: GODS ARE MORE FICKLE THAN LIFE
>Drow terrorists

Yeah, so what does my fellow gerdz think of this?

Well I think it goes in /dis/ for one thing.

But making monsters for Mewilk to fight does seem like a good way to train him.
>>
No. 429764 ID: 7fb81d

Anyways, we could also sprinkle a bunch of cursed items across the planet/continent and have it be that only mewlik could destroy them.
A bunch of "stupid" people could find these items, and then get turned into monsters when they try to use it. Although some people might be smart enough to use the cursed objects for their own purposes.

I say it is time to return to your village, Mewilk. There is nothing more here for you to do, unless you have not already plundered it for whatever treasures it holds, that is.

Yep, time to go home. Oh and by the way Mewlik, many of us gods have had a falling out. Your instructions may become somewhat more contradictory, so heads up.
>>
No. 430115 ID: 214bf9

What's with everyone saying he should return home. Wasn't Mewlick supposed to survive out here for a week before returning home to the vilage?
>>
No. 430132 ID: 147853

>>430087
I should clarify: this simply means "some of the gods are being pansies."

No need to go home yet. You should have enough time to get a decent start on conquering the world before you really need to.

Though if you really want to you can start with your own tribe.
>>
No. 430147 ID: 72d49b

Mewilk hasn't yet become badass enough to go home. He only has two followers and he's not more physically potent than anyone else yet. He should have a tribe and unconquerable strength in battle before he returns. I mean, we're the gods, it's the least we can do for our champion.
>>
No. 430159 ID: 3d88a7

>>430147

You're probably right. Mewilk should instead take to banditry for the time being. Make a little money, get a little combat experience. He'll need a disguise of course. Kirrel and Erio, too.
>>
No. 430214 ID: dd4dc2

I'd suggest going to another town, finding some mercenary work posted, maybe...

Be sure to pick a great challenge, and put all your faith in us, your gods, to deliver you to victory... heheheh...
>>
No. 430215 ID: cf49fc

>>430132
Banditry eh? I was going to suggest we go find a WIZARD, because every band of adventurers needs a wizard. But hey, becoming a Bandit King in a week seems pretty fun, so let's do it.

Also, Twelvth and Hat are pitiful losers who suck and you shouldn't listen to them anymore Mewlik.
>>
No. 430218 ID: a2fa74

>>430215
No, Mewlik turning to banditry is just going to make us look bad. Not the 'terrible wrath' sort of bad either; the 'those dickbutts' sort.
>>
No. 430229 ID: 147853

Well, banditry could work. It depends on what route it'll take for him to get the most followers the quickest. If we want him to be King he needs an army. He's got to start somewhere.

Though being Gods, we should only have him attack people who deserve Divine Retribution. What mortals have been ignoring us more than they should lately?

Also: Boy, don't listen to One. He's just an out-dated old fogey
>>
No. 430248 ID: 01c93a

>>430229
If he has an army, he may as well be a king already. At any rate, there's not much point in spending a whole long time out here when he's only suppose to be gone a week. Just, no going back early, and we shouldn't send him back without something a bit more impressive than what he's got so far. A couple artifacts that we gave him, and a couple followersyears that we pretty much gave him. He should be powerful before he gets back. This is his ritual of adulthood, so it sets the tone for the rest of his life.

On that note, Mewilk, let's find a hostile or neutral tribe here for you to take on. Hopefully this time you won't end up imprisoned right away and the gods won't have to step in directly.

Hey mewlik, simple question:
would you prefer that we give you information instead of commands?
