>Y/N
If Y, please Name Character and Select Locations

Hometowns:
>Humenland Castletown
Capital City of Humenland
>Slime Forest
Your people have always been at home in the forest. A group of peaceful slimes makes their home here.
>Tribal Village
A nomadic group temporarily stopped in the plains southwest of Humenland Castletown. Primarily Squarefolk, with some adventurers tagging along for the safety of group travel.
Expeditions:
>Caves under Mt. Cock
Said to be the birthplace of all chickens in the world. Chicken lore may or may not tell of an ancient Chickengod that lives in the bowels of the earth, but nobody can read that chickenscratch.
>Something to the Southeast
You can't recall what, and your map is covered in slime, but there was a group traveling southeast looking for something. You aren't sure about this one, because that's Bobcat Territory. Bobcats are the deadliest predators known to Humenkind, and they have a particular fondness for deserts made out of Slimes.

You jot down that you are staying in the Tribal Village, and decode to sign up for the expedition to Mt. Cock. For the sake of being mysterious and edgy you just sign with a fancy blotch of slime instead of a name.

Anyways, the expedition is tomorrow, and the sun is only just coming up. You would go shopping for supplies, but are broke after paying for the hut you're staying in.
Expeditions cost money to join, so you're gonna have to find a way to fix that.

That's good. Claiming to be foreign also gives you a half-true excuse for not knowing the customs.

>>367123
You put out the fire you were reading by and exit the hut. There are a few odd jobs you could try.
>Package Courier
There's always something to be delivered, and a bit of a tip for the one doing it. Using your Smarts you could also convince them that the trip was more dangerous than it really was, and sucker them into paying more. You aren't sure you have the Charisma to pull off the bluff though.
>Clear Road
A large tree fell on the main road to and from Humenland Castletown. Wagons and the like have had to go around on side paths, which is troublesome. If nobody's bothered to remove it you could try. The traveling merchants and other adventurers would be grateful.
>Fishing
Humens love fish, so you could sell them some. You never really fished before, but the lake near the local Slime Village is the perfect place to try.

>>

Are slimes adept swimmers? If so we can do the fishing. Otherwise don't bother. After that clearing the tree is good if our acid can eat it away easily. Or if now then we can get a good supply of rope to move it with. I don't see another way to do it without more strength.

If neither of those apply then just do the courier job. I don't know about bluffing but we should be able to use our strengths, or at least avoid our weaknesses.

its entirely possible that snake venum disrupts the biochemical functions that make a slime live. Snake bites are totally harmless to humans, it is the snake venom that kills. Venom which is easier to inject into a slime then into flesh.
Or maybe its a magic snake...

Using your Smarts you calculate that clearing the tree by this means will take you approximately 3 days' worth of acid, including what you've done today. Which means you have 2 days' acid left before the tree is melted away. This plan may have had some flaws.

Unfortunately, you cannot Loot the snake because it is under a Wooden Crate which you haven't the Strength to lift.

The gentleman in the window shuts the curtains when you approach. The Generic NPC Woman gives you a slight wave of recognition and a 'hello', then continues on her way.

You approach the Town Guard in the foreground, who is admiring some shrubbery near the walls. He explains that he planted them himself back when he was a gardener. In fact, he was just conscripted into the guard today.

When you explain the skull incident, he confesses he doesn't know much about bones and such, but mysterious skulls in boxes are never good. You should probably take it to the Captain. He offers to help carry it since you look kind of wimpy.

You ask if Charley is allowed to leave his post. His logic is that if he's a guard on guard duty and an ominous boxskull needs guarding while it's taken to the guardhouse, he should be the guard to do the guarding. You know, as opposed to staring at shrubbery out of boredom.

You wouldn't starve for a while yet, though Slimes will generally die quicker without food than Humens. Rumors have it that an imprisoned Squarefolk soldier once went a year without eating, but since the bandits who held him captive were killed, there are no witnesses.
Pulling yourself from your thoughts, you ask if Charley can spot you for some food. He agrees to get you some Bread since you're broke and it's only, like, 1 GP, but he does expect to be repaid at some point. You quickly consume the glorious Sustenance and head out. On the way out of the Castletown, Charley tosses a Pebble at the sleeping guard to wake him up. It seems as though this is a common occurrence, as nobody makes a comment and you continue on your way.

Upon arriving, Charley makes the astute observation that this box appears to be empty.

You attempt to focus your Rage and step outside. You see the body of a woman- no doubt a Filthy Whore- lying upon the ground. She is dead.
There is a Rampaging Crossdresser locked in combat with a Town Guard. The Guard seems to be in trouble.

You cease the punching of the Dead Whore and Get Guard's Sword. It's probably a Scimitar or Ratatouille or something. You aren't good with sword names and shit.

Resisting the urge to PUNCH. EVERYTHING., you make use of your Element of Surprise to go shank this Wannabe Whore right where his Heart might be. You aren't good at astronomy either. Not like he has one though, cause he's a Filthy Heartless Wannabe Whore!

Sneak Attack Critical Hit! The Rampaging Crossdresser Wannabe Whore is successfully penetrated by your Girthful Blade. Town Guard shakily attempts to get up and stop the bleeding, but looks about to Faint. You suspect only his Manly Bravado keeps him from collapsing.

Keep stabbing the whore, shout "TAKE IT! TAKE IT! TAKE IT YOU FILTHY WHORE!!!" while stabbing. Then casually greet the guardsman once you have stabbed the whore about 50 times.
