You should probably just introduce yourself and your mother, tell it you have a similar job to it, and then maybe just ask it if there are any medicines around here.
>>
No. 312136 ID: 0d095c

I am uncertain medicines that work on one species would work on another. For example, in human's chocolate can induce euphoria. In dogs it can induce death.

I agree on the statement of who you are and what your job is. Show your commonalities and make peaceful talk of your cultural similarities and differences.

do not talk of the minnara though. even you with being use to them were unsure about them when younger. to a being who has never encountered the idea of another thing living within it could be frightful.
and for the medicine ask if it has seen plants that seemed strange.
>>

point at yourself and say your name, point at your mother and say hers. Introduce yourself... It is wondering if you are able to talk and it needs to see that you can talk but just differently then it.
Start by talking to it in your own language, we want it to understand there is difficult communicating, not think you are stupid because you speak its language badly. Say something in your language, then stop and try repeating it in their language.

Query: Would it be acceptable for multiple candidate species to be accepted from a single planet? I can't see any reason that would make this unacceptable.
>>
No. 312754 ID: 9bfeef

No. We can't have every animal that become allies with the Zatrai gain the Minarra and tail clubs if we want to be the dominant species of the planet. The Minarra's a secret weapon.
>>
No. 312756 ID: 234c26

>>312740
Designate any sapient non-candidate species that becomes allied with the candidate species as a potential candidate and begin an evaluation period. They should be evaluated over a minimum of one generation for likelihood of long-term compatibility with the primary candidate species and any existing secondary candidate species. If a high likelihood is determined, designate potential candidate as a secondary candidate and attempt to influence them by all available means to integrate socially with the primary candidate in a mutually beneficial manner, extending benefits and responsibilities after that process has been substantially completed. If no high likelihood of mutual compatibility is determined, designate potential candidate as a non-candidate and extend no benefits or responsibilities.

I don't think Tail-Clubs are going to be particularly useful beyond the Dirt Age, but I am somewhat ambivalent on the subject of the symbionts. I'm gonna wait for more arguments before properly voting, but put me down for a tentative "Yes".
>>
No. 312773 ID: 7bfeb5

The tail clubs were a naturally-occurring feature of this species. The things that could be considered "benefits of being the candidate species" are the Minarra, communication with the 'Godstone', and the probability manipulation to help them survive/thrive.

>>312756
Sounds pretty good. They can have the benefits, including the Minarra, if and only if they can integrate into the society, and if they do so, they are also considered a candidate, on the same level as the Zatrai.

On a different note, is it possible for us to move ourselves over land?

Return on resource investment must be positive, and analysis of interaction must indicate that return on resource investment will remain positive with a high probability, given increasingly close cooperation with the primary candidate species while being subject to probability manipulation favoring peaceful integration angled towards mutual benefit. This projection will need to be made with a sufficient quantity of data that it is reasonably reliable.

Essentially, only approve a secondary candidate species if we are close to certain that it will not backfire on us and disrupt the primary candidate species' development in an undesirable fashion.

What form did the demon's attack take? Was it a straight beam of light, or a roundish blast (and if so, did you see any projectile)?

Did it swoop downward to attack, or did it remain high in the air?

so it wasn't destroying everything but beaming them up? That is probably really bad.

A couple names for the Minnara:

Nirzz
Mici
Lirra
Grota
Relfa
Torrzi
Alfra
Ionia
Burka

Yes, that does mean that the Minnara are mostly male bugs.))
