well, since you haven't yet ended her misery, I guess you can have her spend the rest of her life (the few moments she has left) watching you bandage up her tail and the rest of her body while she bleeds out and/or dies.

or, you can share heartfelt conversation with each other while you bandage her up and realize you're not so different after all then hold her in your arms while she sweats, convulses, and dies from infection.

either way (barring DM interference a miracle) she's done for. Considering you've cuddled her already, you'll probably lean towards option 2.

<Seven01a19> So her ONLY physical injury is her tail, correct?
<Colour> Might just be my crappy pictures, but everyone else seemed to think that it was only her tail too.
<Colour> And yeh, her tail is missing, that's it.

I rip off bits of clothing from wherever I can find it, mostly that from the Lian bodies, and try and bandage up the wound as best as I can. She twitches a little bit as I do it, but she doesn't object. I don't think I did it very well...

I pick up the Lian firearms and place them on the table. The wounded Lian has no weapons on her as far as I can see. I have collected a Lian machinegun, Lian SMG, Lian handgun, a Talon7 Tezakian handgun, and the Tezakian's bloody commando knife. None of the Lians have any spare ammo on them, maybe they left it elsewhere in the building. It might not be good to stick around here too long though, and I can't hold all of this stuff.

Lian: "W- Why are you helping me?" She's still crying a little. I don't know what to say. I still don't really know what I feel about all of this. The Tezakian was a monster, and the Lian a victim, but she's an enemy of my people! I'm betraying them every second I let her live!

Take the Talon 7, replace that Lian knife with the Tezakian one, and take the SMG; the machine gun is probably too bulky for you.

Tell the Lian that what happened to her shouldn't happen to anyone, or something equally cheesy. Also, advise her to seek competent medical attention, as you're not exactly a corpsman.

You're not betraying anybody. Calm down. I mean, let's face it; there's no way this Lian would wind up fighting again, what with her natural weapon having been chopped off.

"Because you need it."
Hug her
"I signed up to protect people from monsters. We were told the Lian were like that... that... monster, but now I don't know what to think. Just that I need to keep you safe, if you'll let me."
Pause for a moment, then pull away unless she stops you.
"We need to get out of here and move someplace where we're less likely to be shot. Hopefully someplace with a doctor; do the Lian recognize hospitals as sanctuary?
Can you walk?"

Take the Tezakian gear for yourself, and let her pick what she wants from the Lian gear.
Oh, and please remember that you're deep behind enemy lines and there was just an explosion to draw the attention of every armed Lian in a 10-block radius. Sticking with her will make your survival far more likely.

Actually, take the Lian handgun instead of the Talon7. You're in enemy territory, remember? Any ammo you're going to get is going to be theirs.

Well why are you helping her Tratior McTraitorpants?

Also, pick up the Lian SMG alongside with the handguns and the knife. That should give you enough firepower.

You should move out, Tezakian army is still advancing, you might be behind the frontlines now. Urban combat tends to be confusing as fuck regarding to who holds what. Anyway, have to get her back to her own lines, if your side finds her with you then they're either going to torture her for information and then kill her or just kill her. Probably the torture option, you taking care of her would indicate that she has information, would be no other reason for a loyal soldier to give aid to the enemy. Once they conclude that she didn't have valuble information then you're going to be in trouble.

"I don't like cruelty. There are things I wouldn't even wish upon my enemies."

Definitely take the Talon 7. We know the Talon is very effective. The SMG will also be a winner in this urban environment so it would be priority 2. The knife makes a good tool, but it's an absolutely last ditch weapon. Bring it if you have the space.

Trickery time: Ask her if she has any friends at or near the factory to the north and where she intends to go now. You might be able to get some easy intel on the surrounding area through a little smooth talking. If she catches on just say you've got to take care of your own skin.

I pick up the SMG and the Talon 7, and replace the Lian knife with the commando knife. I'll trust the Lian for now and give her the Lian handgun.. I'm not sure if that's a good idea. She is still a Lian after all. My inventory is almost completely full, all of this stuff is really heavy so I can't run very fast and I definitely can't fly.

I lead the Lian away from the room.

Moezaki: “I was told the Lians were monsters who all deserved to die, then I saw one of m- a Tezakian doing all those horrible things.. he was a true monster.”

Lian: “...”

Moezaki: “Do you know any places with a good doctor? Any hospitals? I want to help you.. but if a Lian patrol sees me, I don't think it'll go well. Will you let me help you?”

Lian: “T-there's a factory to the north in which the headquarters is located, it's best for you to stay away from there.. there's a nearby hospital to the northwest. It should be out of the way enough for us not to be seen, and I know the doctor there. I can get him to let you stay there for a while.. if you want to..”
>>
No. 256195 ID: fd6d7e

Is that a bucket? Oh you sick, twisted bastard.

Anyway, go take her to the hospital, but you can probably get out of there at that point. Head straight back to Tezakian territory. Remember the only person who saw you helping Lians is dead, so they won't kill you on sight at least.

I wouldn't try the factory, because the fact you know it's their HQ and that they're trading with a strange people who look like dinner is too valuable to risk. You also know that the Lians now have weapon that killed your entire battalion faster than you could blink. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT TEZAKIA SHOULD KNOW

I'm assuming they won't execute you for desertion as soon as you arrive, even if you were planning on going back to battle later. If they're that hardassed then just hide out at the hospital and bide your time.

It's actually a bag, it's just full of stuff.

It seems we left in good time, there were no Lian patrols on the way to the hospital. When we get there we see someone, probably a Lian, outside.

Lian: "That looks like the doctor."

Moezaki: "I suppose this is goodbye then..."

Lian: "Goodbye? I can persuade him to let you stay... please stay for a while.. I don't even know your name yet."

Moezaki: "It's Moezaki.. It's not a good idea for me to stay here. Lians will find me eventually."

While this could be a trap, it sounds like she legitimately wants you to stick around. You probably make her feel safe with that knight-in-shining-armor shit you pulled. :)

See if you can hide somewhere in listening distance while she talks to the doctor.

Having her as an ally could also help you later. She might be able to get you another safe route out of the city, or help you get what you need for the Kliss-Khar to help you, since it's apparently in some kind of Lian base. Using tact and sneakiness is probably better than going in (and out) guns blazing.

From her point of view, she wants to let you in and give you shelter even though you are the enemy, and talk the guards around not killing you, but that isnt how the lians will be thinking when they see you, they may still inform their superiors and you end up facing a group of lians to deal with, I doubt they will be as kind as the one you saved. Its a risky prospect going with her into the hospital but do it with caution, from the looks of it those sandbags are their for a reason, there must be armed lians inside, so your going to have to confront them and if they are unaware of your allegiance with the female will open fire/capture/interrogate/torture you.

And how are you going to even return to the battlefield after doing all this? Your going to be killing the comrades of who you saved, you will have to go through knowing that you betrayed your side by killing one of your own, even though he was indeed a monster how will the generals think of this? Have you court marshalled of the tezakians? Stripped of your rank? Either way its gonna end up bad, stick with her as your either going to die helping a lian, or die fighting one.

You may as well stick around. You told her your name. Sooner or later someone on their side might use it against you. If certain aspects of your encounter with the mad-bird are omitted and 'leaked' back to the Tezekian military it could sound very, very bad for you. Stick with her and try and encourage her not to tell anyone what happened. Try and think up a cover story. And maybe a fake name/nickname.

Moezaki and the Lian victim walk up to the Hospital entrance. The Lian at the door is huge and speaks with a deep voice.

Huge Lian: "Welcome back. You have a Tezakian with you, and he doesn't look like a prisoner to me."

Lian: "Don't worry doctor, he's staying for a while. Hopefully the troops won't come back for a few days."

Come to think of it, I might be a little sleepy... I could stay awake if I really want to though. I don't know why, i've not been awake for long!

Don't fall asleep. You're in behind enemy lines, nobody knows you're there and you're most likely already put in under Missing in action. If they nab you then nobody will miss you or think to go look for you and try to rescue you.

Listen in on their conversation. Make sure she is somewhat ok, the doc is probably going to sedate her at some point, or she's going to fall asleep or get taken to another room. When any of those happen you just get your gear and then get out of there, back to your own lines to give them whatever intel you have, then you can sleep. Until then you need to stay awake.

+1 to listening in. Heck, if you're in a relatively safe location within the hospital (i.e. people can't see you / barge in on you), it might even be nice to be polite and talk /with/ them instead of just eavesdropping.

It would be good to talk to the Lian chick and find out more about what she and her people were doing in the building; does she know why the other Tezakian attacked? Have there been reports of other Tezakians like this?

Big Lian: "In a few hours then maybe. I'm sorry we don't have anything here to help with the pain, the soldiers took everything with them when they left."

Big Lian: "Why did you bring the Tezakian back? If someone finds him here.. I don't know what they'll do to me.. or to him."

Big Lian: "You're going with him? I don't know what you're thinking right now, I won't stop you. Just be safe, I'm getting a drink."

Knock on the door frame and ask if you can come in.

If she says yes, go in and talk. Say you caught the end of her conversation from the door and wanted to know why she wanted to come with you. Remark that you're not even sure what you're going to do next. Perhaps ask her about what life has been like around here while the war's been on. Try to find out what she and the other people were doing in that building and why the nutso Tezakian might have attacked them (other than blind bloodlust). And thank the doctor for his hospitality and ask him if he has a safe room in an out-of-the way place where you can sleep for the night and not be discovered - either top floor (flying escape route?) or some room in the basement or something.

If she says no, let her know that you'll be in the other room, trying to get some rest, and she's welcome to come talk to you whenever. If the doctor is available, talk to him about those sleeping room options I mentioned above.

Moezaki: “Are you okay?”

I don’t really know much about this comforting thing… this still feels all weird.

Moezaki: “I heard some of the conversation. I want to know why you’re set on coming with me. The Lians will want me dead, and the Tezakians will want you dead. “

Lian: “I’ll risk it. You saved me from that Tezakian back there, I’ll help get you out of our territory.”

Moezaki: “Why were you all in that building instead of the hospital anyway?”

Lian: “After the evacuation a few hours ago, people left their things behind. The attack was completely unexpected, they gave me command over a small group of people and we was meant to search each building, one at a time to gather supplies. Food, water, anything we thought was useful. I didn’t think any Tezakians would get this close.. We were completely unprepared.”

Moezaki: “Are there any more beds around here, something more out of the way? I’d rather not be found by any other Lians.”

Lian: “I could ask.. But I’d rather you stay here..”

Wouldn't that put both of you in danger, not just you? I mean, if she insists you're not gonna have much choice without seeming sorta uncaring, but as is you're already a Tezakian in Lian city; being in the same room would make her a traitor too, if they came knocking. If you're elsewhere she can at least claim that she had no idea you were there.

Really depends on whether or not you wanna stick around and be a big, comforting mass of feathers or not.

Hit the lights, lay down on the bed, and pull her down so you can wrap your wings around her.
She doesn't want to be alone, and physical contact with somebody she feels safe around will help her sleep and ward off nightmares.

Meant the country. Really far away places arent' really a realistic prospect of deserting and running away to. Should preferably be some place that can be reached fairly easily by either boat, flight or by land. Should also have a policy of letting deserters seek asylum there, would kind of suck to get there and then get tossed out, or even turned over to Tezakian authorities.

Dammit Moezaki! Just as soon as we were getting somewhere with you...

Keep in mind, if you inform them of the enemy presence in the area, they will expect YOU to be their eyes and ears.

Normally not a problem, but considering your loyalty issues, I know you would have an issue with NOT keeping your fellow soldiers updated if we thought it best.

It's in your best interest to stay down and 'dead' for the moment.
Just like any experienced soldier can tell you, always obey, but NEVER volunteer.

Pick up the radio and see if you can listen in. They have probably some sort of encryption and code words in place, but who knows, they might have gotten careless.

If it's a dreamsequence that is close in time then she should still have the tail, she shouldn't have dealt with the loss enough to not have it in the dream. I'm guessing that there has been a timejump of some sort.

Except Colour actually mentioned it was a dream sequence.
There's still one way it makes 'sense': It could be Moezaki's dream.

Kera, Airforce Sergeant, I am currently infiltrating what appears to be a Tezakian held area within the city. I spotted something in the night and decided to investigate, my team is back at the hotel.

I pick up the radio. “Peep-peep.. peep.” I can't understand a thing they're peeping.

>>259625

I have a tail! It's right here! I think I've sat on it for too long, it feels kinda funny.

>>259559
>>259581

I don't know what- I can't think right. Damnit! I should focus on what matters right now, the enemy could be anywhere!

I could go further into the building.. Maybe I really should just go back this place is scary. And I think my light is dimming...

Behind you in the doorway!

It's already spotted you so turning the light off won't help, leave it on so you can get a clear view of the flapper otherwise you'll be handicapped by the darkness.

What would a Lian air force fly?

>“Peep-peep.. peep.”

I think they just called your mother a slut.

>I should focus on what matters right now, the enemy could be anywhere!

If you're worried about that, why do you have a flash light on? Lians have better night vision than Tezakians, right?

Anyway, yeah, you should check behind you.

Silent Hill? What's that?

>>259832
>>259909

It's still pretty dark inside, I might not be able to see some things, but I guess it will make it harder for the Tezakians to see me.

I don't think they know my mother...

We usually fly interceptors to take out tezakian scouts, but they can also be used to take out tezakian ground forces. We've recently had them equipped with rockets to take out supply bases, and if they ever get any, some armoured vehicles.

However, they were training me to fly larger aircraft.

>>260411

They have enough pilots, and not enough officers. I have officer training, so they thought to put me in charge of a few Lians to make sure they arn't wasting their time. It's only temporary. To be honest I've kinda forgot everything, I just wanted to fly..

Whatever was at the door fled the moment I looked, I'm sure I saw something, and the door was closed earlier. Inside it's even darker! I can't really see anything in there from here. I'm not sure how any Tezakian could possibly see in there.

I- I'm frightened...

Like bombers or gunships, or stuff like zeppelins?

>if they ever get any, some armored vehicles.

If they don't have any yet, they probably will soon. They'll probably be really slow and badly made monstrosities, but they will probably have better artillery than yours.

Also, yeah, you probably should head in. Keep your light off and let your eyes adjust to the darkness; that may take a little while, though.
