Bob moonstruts like an employer into this room.
Hey, it's actually pretty dark up in this. There is light from above. Moonlight?

On the opposite wall there is a ladder. On either side of the ladder there is a pole for some reason.

pull that switch by the door, it looks like the only thing in here to use as the ladder is too far to jump to.

Look in the room but don't go in yet. It may be a trap, or some puzzle you need the pole for.

agree, just stare through the door until your cat eyes get adjusted and can see what it is.

Looking down the hallway, there appears to be a well-lit room. The hallway itself is completely unlit however.

How long is the pole? Can you use it to get to the ladder and escape? If not go down the hallway using the pole like if you were a blind person to watch for pits and traps.

The poles are out of reach, and appear to be stuck into the wall of this room.

The ladder is decidedly a foot or so out of Bob's maximum jump range. He'll need a way to get up.

Bob makes it to the end. But that's not a door he's been running towards. It appears to be a mirror.

The door is on the opposite wall.
Which means...

>>203878
There's no time for meaningless materialism!

"Bob! Have you found a key? How much time is left?"
>"Pthhhhhpth. Nope. Probably less than 2 minutes. Maybe more."

Should Bob say nothing else and leave with the chair, give her his regrets that she couldn't be saved, or leave her with false hopes of returning, or OTHER?

"you didn't happen to find a note address to me did you? have been finding notes all over the place"
if she says no then just leave. if yes then take the note and go smash the mirror with the chair.

Is it possible to use more than one key at a time? Like, the two keys that didn't fit in the handcuffs? Try putting them both together and using them on the lock?

If that doesn't work I guess there's nothing we can do; apologize for failing to save her.

I ask again, since we're back here:
>What are the hinges like? Any chance they're open at the top and the door can be lifted off, possibly using HORNS for leverage?
>...damn. I wonder if the table would have worked better for that from Bob's side.
>>
No. 204223 ID: aa23fe

Ask Vesta if she has any clues. Also suggest that it might be possible to unscrew one of the bars. You never know.

Then grab chair and leg it back to the ladder.

>>204095
A closer inspection of the hinges show they are behind thick interlocking metal plates that allow for opening/closing of the door while keep the hinges away from prying anythings.

>"Do you have ANYTHING that can help me help you?"
"Uhm... no."
>>
No. 204337 ID: 716eb0

Piss on scarf. Wet cloth doesn't break. Wrap scarf around two prison bars and twist it until the leverage defeats them and they bend together, creating space to escape through.

>>204337
Moisture causes the fibers of the cloth to swell, resulting in more friction and thus less tearing. It's not a completely silly thing to do...

Wasn't there a gap at the top of the cell door that she could fit through? You could out your hands through the bars, and cup them together to give her a boost up. Possibly while standing on the chair.

Well at any rate there might not be any way to get her out. In that case, let's go to the ladder and find someone who DOES have a way to get her out. Or maybe the key is at the top of the ladder!

>>204343
It took about twenty seconds to run down that corridor. I doubt climbing the ladder will be fast---let's call it ten seconds. That's thirty there, thirty back here, and thirty away again.

I'm not saying we shouldn't do that, just pointing out that it'd only leave five seconds for actually doing anything at that end. And assuming that the top of the ladder is a safe place to be when the bomb goes off.

You lack faith in the BROWN METAL CHAIR.
The mirror has less luck, however.
The brick wall behind it is fine.

The mirror shatters into convenient pieces so that nothing is rendered on it again.
