It's been a long time.

A long time since there was anything to see.
Or touch.
And the voices are going, now, too. Falling away into the silence.
One remains, and the quiet sound seems unnaturally loud in the Void.

They say that you can't take it with you. But no one believes that. So...

Turn on light, and peer into the various passages one by one. Discard the objects if they become too awkward to move around in here.

try to break the objects into smaller pieces, it would help carrying them and should make them digest faster.

If that happens then we will notice it and make the decision then, rather then giving "if this that do that" orders lets see what happens.

Agreed on turning on light spell.

You momentarily attempt to crack or sever the objects in your mass, but have no where near the strength required to do so. You estimate this means they are quite resistant to your corrosive effects, as well as made of a strong material.

Filing this knowledge away for later use, you cast Light.

[Mana: 7/20]

You're not entirely sure what the purpose of this is, as you do not currently possess any way of perceiving light yourself. However, casting the spell triggers some movements within the hollow support, and this time you manage to pick them up via your as-of-yet-undefined sense. There are three areas of movement.

What do you do?

I wonder how we regenerate that, it seems quite low so maybe it isn't all that fast.

Try to brace both tips against something at a 45 degree angle and then apply the force directly to the center. It will give you a massive torque advantage.

You briefly attempt to break the objects by leaning them before applying force, but the lack of room within the hollow means this is impossible. You think it unlikely that you would succeed with your meager strength anyway.

Having done this, you move to cover the entrance to the small acclove above you, aiming to prevent any escape of creatures within. As you once more extend your senses, you cover more of what you believe tobe antenna, to see...

That it is in fact a leg. One of seven in the hollow, attached to a creature you have never seen before. Your approach has also revealed a number of strands geometrically woven in the hollow, ending at the creature.

It appears to be aware of your presence.

Unfortunately for it, your bonding is not strong enough to allow it purchase, and it slips into your mass.

Nice, lets get more of that.
Can you focus on digesting a specific portion of the creature you caught? let us call it spider (btw, I noticed on carefully looking that the spider had the stump of an 8th leg. It isn't a weird 7 legged spider its just lost a leg).
Anyways, try to focus digestion on a specific portion (the head) to kill it. Also try to rapidly kill your catch by breaking it apart to ensure it does not escape and to accelerate digestion, break the legs off one by one.

You secure your catch in your center, and proceed along the passage. As you do, you attempt to break apart the still-struggling creature within you. Though your meager strength does not allow you to rip it apart, you manage to halt its movements, and widen the gaps in its protective exoskeleton enough to start digesting it from within.

As you move towards the end of the passageway, you notice movement immediately in front of you, moving upwards and away from you. You also sense another some way up the structure.

A thought comes to mind: you could use your objects as weapons. Although a quick attempt shows that there is not enough room to swing in the tunnel, you can stab. Your meager strength makes this a questionably useful manover at best, but being able to attack from a distance could be a significant advantage.

These thoughts drive you onward, as you stab towards where you last sensed the closest movement. However, the creature has moved, and you end up striking another construct. As you do so, you can sense the creature's new position above you.
>>
No. 341571 ID: b1f0e2

ok then... go ahead and engulf it, then try to break it like you did the other, then consume the web as well.
Try to make it come to you by pretending to be caught in its web (send out a tendril to rattle the web).

Once you captured this one as well:
Try to use the knife and fork to cut apart the spider once inside you, such as putting a leg between the fork's teeth and then spinning it.
Try sawing it apart with the knife's teeth.
Or use leverage there as well, place the spider on the ground, the fork between the joint but facing up, then apply force at the other end of it.

Also, try breaking off the fork's teeth against the hard surrounding. Or by placing the knife between the teeth and twisting.

After you are done with all those experiments leave the knife and fork behind as you can't take them further with you, you can come back for them later if need be. If you manage to break off the fork's teeth, take those with you.

However, you are faster. Reaching forward, you manage to snare the creature's rear, your newly found stickiness allowing you to keep a grip on it as it struggles. Finally, something else's meager strength fails it, and it cannot escape your grip.

[MSP: 60/100]

You pull it inside you, and crack its limbs as you did the previous one. A brief experiment with the multi-pronged object allows you to widen the gaps, and so you apply this strategy to both of the creatures within you.

Your other experiments, however, fail to yield results. As well, you notice that the tunnel ahead is too small to bring the objects with you, and decide to leave them behind. As you prepare to drop them from your mass, you hear noises from outside the tunnel entrance.

You retreat slightly, and gather your mass, settling down to digest your new catch.

[Stickiness: 10/100]

You notice that you are feeling somewhat full; you may have difficulty moving if you continue with such large amounts of unabsorbed mass.

The noises from outside eventually become more clear. The dull rhythmic thumping of footsteps stops suddenly.

"Wait, where...? Uh..."

You hear a blunt grinding noise for a moment, before a grunt and the swish of fabric is heard. The footsteps continue, pausing periodically. After a minute or so, they cease.

342247

You decide the best course of action is to simply wait till the creatures within you are digested. You untense, and slip lazily into one of the depressions in the rough tunnel.

As you rest, you rub the objects together within you, and succeed in demolishing the tough exteriors of the creatures, allowing you easy access to the softer parts within. The two strong objects still resist your acid, but you notice that their surfaces are now extremely rough, especially the one with the prongs. With some effort, you attempt to pry one of the prongs off, but only end up bending it slightly. More smooth material exists beneath, and so you set to work removing the first layer to access the next.

For the first time, you begin to feel fatigue, as the constant motion of objects within you begins to wear you out. You spend some time puzzling over this new sensation.

During this time, a few noises are present from outside the tunnel, though nothing you can distinguish as anything other than thumps and bumps.

After an indefinite period, the creatures are completely dissolved. You are unsure how much time as passed, having no way of keeping track, and having been occupied with the experience of fatigue.

It is a somewhat unpleasant sensation, yet it pleases you that you have some other form of sense besides touch and your mysterious other sense.

Pleasure is also a pleasing sensation.

You decide to move deeper into the tunnels, wedging the two remaining objects in your mass as far as you are able along the passageway.

Your action is motivated by two thoughts. The first is that there may be more of the creatures within the tunnels, and indeed, you sense a number of things moving about above you. The second is the belief that resting may afford you some reprieve from your fatigue, and you seek somewhere to pursue this course unnoticed.

Using your mental map, you return to the location you consumed the first of the creatures, wedging the two objects across the entrance. You settle somewhat uncomfortably, as the uneven surface requires you to hold on to prevent slipping. Luckily, your new-found stickiness helps to some degree, and while you do not untense completely, you maintain a comfortable enough position to spend no more energy on it.

After a time, you begin to feel a new sensation. This one reminds you both of the fall from the bench, and a far milder form of fatigue.
