The thing you call a tunic (which is not really a tunic, but so far as I know does not have a proper name) seems entirely pointless. We are a mercenary, we can show off our armor. There are no particular colors that we need to wear, and if that changes in the future we will likely be issued a tabard.
Unrelatedly, I would suggest an actual tunic, in place of the shirt (ie, under the chain). This should be quite thick wool, to avoid chafing. As a small bonus, this allows us to forgo the skirt entirely. A second tunic of leather may well go over that, eliminating the need to periodically replace the wool tunic (the wool tunic can become natty from constantly rubbing on chain, and catch).
A chain shirt goes to about where you depicted the "chain skirt" as ending, incidentally, so additional chain is unnecessary. Unless we want a hood, which is not a bad idea, but seems unnecessary to me.
That helmet is fairly impractical, any significant force will, while not necessarily destroying the helmet, significantly damage the head inside.
See instead the helmet pictured. The high peak transfers the force from a downward swing around the head. The reinforced loop distributes it as best as possible, and also prevents the helmet from being riven by a downwards (be it vertical or diagonal) strike, by preventing buckling. The nose guard may need to be shorter or removed entirely, depending on how it sits with Rynh's snout.
The hood-thingy is arguably even more important - it should be strong leather, and heavily padded. A blow to the head is bad even through a helm. To prevent or reduce such problems as concussions, the padding must be thick - but not so thick as to overheat the brain. Everything else is, I think, self explanatory.
The elbow guards seem largely pointless without accompanying forearm guards - otherwise they just transfer the force through to the elbows, breaking them.
I'm not so sure about the chest plate either, I feel like it ought to be wider and longer. I confess that I know less about that, however, and merely redirecting force across the ribcage may be entirely sufficient, considering that we have a chain shirt under.

Well crap, now I can't unsee it.

Looks like a pretty solid design to me.
