*as you are currently, the [RETURN] function is a choice that must be made with focus and intent; that is, one made when you are already contained within another ossuary. it goes something like this, doesn’t it — you focus yourself on the action of leaving for another oss, and then upon arrival, you decide what action you’d like to take while there; but either way, you are trapped there for at least a moment, especially if you decide to do anything but immediately recall yourself.
*very risky, especially in a combat situation, as you’ve now experienced.
*to address this, glaive had also developed a [SWIFT RETURN] function, which, again, we are pleased to reinstall for you now. with this, upon making the decision to hop, you may also specify — before you leave, not after — the action you will take when you arrive, as well as your intent to [SWIFT RETURN].
*this has risks as well, of course. you are, after all, leaping before you look; deciding on what you will do without first having the lay of the land. and even if you only lurk in your moment there, your retrieval will be more obvious to the other ossuary than your intrusion was. if you swift return, then wish to re-enter — for example, to continue lurking — it is far more likely they will notice your presence the second time around.
