>Channel your rage and kick him hard.
>Kick him in the balls with your superior leg strength.

I launch my leg up as hard and fast as I can at his ‘jimmies’. He manages to grab my leg with both paws, but not quick enough stop the impact. Both of us scream and howl in pain. His claws dig further into my leg the more he howls. I try to shake it free but it just hurts even more.

Both his paws are occupied holding my leg though. Think! I can still do something here to get free and retreat back to Gasket.

I grab my head in pain, things feel warm. A lot warmer. I’m back by the fire barrel?
Gretchen: ”What happened?”

Gasket: “Ya put up a good fight and held off that damn wolf long enough for me to come finish’em off with my pistol is what happened. Then ya went down face first into the snow.”

A series of muffled yells catches my attention, I turn my head to see another wolf. He's muzzled and tied up to a support beam with some rope.

Gasket: “Tied him up for now. Was more worried about getting you back inside and patched up.”

Well, sounds like the perfect opportunity to finally get some answers, or take out some anger and beat the snot out of this dirt bag.

First order of business.
Thank that sweet goat man.
Its got to be good to have someone who you can rely on after so much has happened.
Let him know.

Check your mobility afterwards.
Dont want any surprises if you have to move.
Then...

>Check your mobility
I start to stand while my leg protests in pain.
Gasket: “Easy there!”

Gretchen: “I’ll be alright, just stings a bit. No more running for me tonight though.”

Gasket: “Well, sit back down then! I haven’t found anything to wrap’er up with yet.”

>Maybe you should instead apply first aid to yourself. You've still got glass sticking out of you.
>Yeah patch yourself up and calm down before confronting the wolf.
Gretchen: “Is there really nothing around we can use for first aid?”

Gasket: “Hm… not the best idea but it might be my only one.”

He goes over to the car and returns with a box of tissues and rope.

Gasket: “It’s gonna be uncomfortable, but it’s something.”

He bunches up tissues into small pads.

Gasket: “Now hold it against your leg, I’m gonna tie it in place with the rope.”

Gretchen: “Why rope? Don’t you have tape or something?”

Gasket: “If I had any, I’d be using it. Now hold’er steady!”

He bunches up more tissues until there’s enough to cover everything.

Gasket: “If you start losing feeling in your leg, let me know right away.”

Gretchen: “Thanks again for helping Gasket. You sure now how to make someone feel safe and comforted.”

>You've still got glass sticking out of you.
Gretchen: “Speaking of comfort though, what about the shard of glass sticking outta my head?”

Gasket: “I’d feel better if you left it for the doctors. There’s a few things we could do, but it’s gonna be iffy and messy.”

Gretchen: “Well?”

Gasket: “I can carefully pull it out and make sure no other shards of glass are hiding in the wound. After that you got two options, assuming you don’t bleed out on me. You rest up and hold the thickest wad of tissue up against the wound till we get you to a doctor.”

He looks over at the fire barrel

Gasket: “Or, I can cauterize the wound. Besides the obvious risks, if I miss cleaning out any glass, it’s going to be stuck in there. Doc’ll have to cut’er open again and get it out if that’s the case.”

Gasket: “You know what you need better than I do, if it’s bad enough that it’s gotta come out now I’ll help. Otherwise it’s better to tough it out if you can.”

It's worrying that it might get jabbed deeper if something hits her head. It's not so big and I don't think there are any major arteries on the head, so try to pull it out.

You'll need a bandage to keep the tissue in place. Tear up the shirt from your assailant, he doesn't need it anymore.

Indeed.

If we knew for sure nothing else was going to happen, leaving it in would be fine, but gretchen has been collecting and distributing head trauma all night so...
Tentatively see if it feels loose or if its jammed tight and mostly immobile?
The latter would result in bad bleeding and need of stitches if pulled.

Put a bandage and helmet over it. That way, you mitigate what is now a critical vulnerability.

Gretchen: “Let’s pull the shard out before it gets any deeper.”

Gasket: “You’re lucky that didn’t happen when you face-planted into the snow earlier.”

I try not to think about it; and refocus on Gasket.

Gasket: “Alrighty then, on the count o three I’ll start yanking.”

Gretchen: “Just pull it out, I’ve been through worse-“

I let out a shrill bleat of pain as he yanks.

Gretchen: “Oh stop! Stop! It’s augh! It’s not gonna come out-“

Gasket: “Ah quit your bellyaching, she’s already out. Gonna need more tissues, that’s a lotta blood.”

I bite on my lip and wince in pain as he cleans up my face.

Gasket: “Quit squirming around now and sit still.”

>What could POSSIBLY be worth all this trouble?

Gretchen: “Alright you mangy mutt, I want answers! What in the world are you chasing me and Gretta around for?! What could either of us possibly have that you want?!”

He just snarls and bares his teeth. I smash my fist right into his snoot in retaliation!

Gretchen: “I got plenty more still in me tonight, buster! Now start talking.”

He has the nerve to roll his eyes at me and continue snarling. Then it dawns on me, he’s still got his mouth tied shut. I undo the rope and the fool tries to bite my hand! I give him another bop in the snoot.

Gretchen: “Try that again and we’ll-we’ll yank out every tooth you have! Now out with the answers! What’s your goal here?”

Wolf: “Get the albino back and keep harvesting her blood.”

Gretchen: “For what though?”

Wolf: “Oh don’t feign ignorance, its clear you’ve already had some yourself.”

Gretchen: “Had what?”

Wolf: “There’s no way you lived through everything the boss sent after you without it. Eventually you’ll run out and we’ll have the advantage again! You know what, never mind, I’m keeping my mouth shut on the matter. ”

He’s letting some info slip out, but I’m not catching most of what he’s throwing out. What should I ask next or how should I try to press him further?

Well you haven't drank any blood tonight, so this guy's clearly crazy.

Smack him a few times.

"No matter how much money that girl's blood is worth, scum like you can't see her as anything else. Besides, you really thought her father was going to let this slide? When he finds out you freaks tried to turn his daughter into a milk slave, he's going to hire every mafioso in a twenty-kilometer radius to murder you all. I don't have to kill you, you're already dead. Your only hope of living in prison is to tell us where your boss is. Now - or we stuff you in a box and let the hunters find you themselves."

Well, thats disturbing.

Only way youve had any blood is if during the crash your open wounds got infected.
The way this asshole is talking itd either be something youd notice quickly or they really are delusional on every level.

As to taunting out more info.

"Oh, Deerheart.
Youve had the advantage all night and yet...
You still.
Keep.
Fucking.
Up."

Just dont let him see how nervous you are.
If youre not confident of something youre gonna say or feel on edge, remember you have the room.
Walk around him.
Out of his range of vision while you talk.
Circle him.
See how disconcerting he finds being the prey for once.

>If you’re not confident of something you’re gonna say or feel on edge, remember you have the room. Walk around him.
I start pacing in circles,
Gretchen: “Oh lived through what? A couple of silent thugs running around in clown masks? Didn’t your mothers teach you reality from fiction?”

Wolf: “Okay first of all, they’re NOT clown masks-”

Gretchen: “Then what are they supposed to be?”

Wolf: “They’re supposed to be scary, not funny clown masks! Come on think, no idiot is going to go around kidnapping and killing others without a disguise, duh.”

Gretchen: “So how come you aren’t wearing one?”

Wolf: “I-er-the boss figured you were on to us by now. We ditched the masks and tried to just look like electricians.”

> How many people do they have?
Gretchen: “So how many of you are there in this group?”

Wolf: “Pfh, there’s only one of me in the group-“

I clobber him in the face again,

Gretchen: “No more smart ass answers. How many members do you have in this group?”

Wolf: “I dunno how many are left after what you pulled tonight. Probably enough that the boss won’t have to get involved.”

>So who's your boss and where is he? He's got an appointment with a bullet.
>Who's he working for?
Gretchen: “Speaking of the boss, where is he? My friend here as a bullet with his name on it.”

Wolf: “You don’t even know his name!”

>If he withholds the information, torture him, start with breaking some toes or something.
Gretchen: “Maybe you’ll care to indulge us on that then. I want it all! The who, what, where, and why.”

Wolf: “You think I’m scared of a measly little doe? Besides, I’ve already drank the albino blood myself. I’ll live through anything you throw at me!”

Gretchen: “What, it makes you invincible or something?”

Wolf: “It let’s whoever drinks it, live forever!”

Gretchen: “Have you met anyone that’s drank it and lived forever?”

Wolf: “Uh, no. It hasn’t even been forever yet. Boss lived through being shot to prove it to us though.”

Gretchen: “Alright that’s it. Get me a hammer, Gasket.”

Gasket: “Sure, here ya go lassie.”

I take the hammer and strike it down on his feet a few times. He howls and snarls in pain, cussing and cursing to no end.

Gretchen: “Having any second thoughts? Cause it looks to me like that magic blood doesn’t work.”

Wolf: “That’s where you’re wrong! I’m still alive you ditzy doe, and when I claw my way out of this rope I’ll make sure I finish the damn job with all of ya!”

I hear the frantic scraping of claws against the metal support beam. He probably ain’t getting anywhere anytime soon, but neither are we with that flat tire-

>lived through being shot
In the head? In the heart? Did anyone see the wound, or just blood? It could have been faked. Also ask if he stayed conscious, or had to heal, because... well, you can knock him out to prove he's not invincible. Plus, if you cut off one of his fingers, that proves he can lose body parts, and if he can't die but can lose body parts then that's a terrible, terrible curse.
>>
No. 1105296 ID: 273c18

Basically, there's two possible outcomes if he can be permanently damaged: 1, it's a curse instead of a blessing, or 2, his leader lied to him. Either way, there's no reason for him to be loyal.

Threatening to do it might work, but if not, ask what's the smallest piece of him that he'd be willing to risk to prove his claim. A slice of skin off of somewhere, off of his finger?
>>
No. 1105299 ID: 0db8d3

Smash a knee in with that hammer.
Let him know that now it don't matter if he gets out, he ain't goin nowhere fast. Plus, if he don't start talkin', You'll take the other one, too. A permanent limp is one thing. Never walking again is another thing entirely.

This ain't self defense anymore Gretchen, y'sure you can live with yourself if you kill him, all tied up like that? Besides, why go to the effort when these facts should do the trick; He can still be injured and still feel pain, so you could just smash all his bones and dump him down a well.
