>Ballista
I've seen people use ballista's before, but they were used for defense on the outsides of towns and not used for assault.
>We can build one outside its "territory"
No, we can't. I may know how to make a ballista, but building things isn't my field and Dell has stated multiple times he refuses to leave too far from the base. The second best option would be making it at base and wheeling it to the drainage pipe which it would need to be a pretty small ballista to move. Then comes the issue of reloading, and it may do more than a regular crossbow but I don't know how much more.
RITA: How much would you need to make a ballista?
DELL: You want to use a ballista against a robot? Okay…
BALLISTA: 125x Wood, 50 Mechanical Scrap, 20x Rope
DELL: A larger one would take twice the material and probably be harder to move
>I wonder if we could offer it repairs, in exchange for it working as a guard for us?
RITA: Do you think this could be one of those "sapient" robots that we can reason with?
DELL: From the sound of it probably not. It didn't ask you to "state your business" or something like that right? Even if it was I doubt it's functioning well enough to understand you. I didn't take you as someone who'd try to reason with anyone.
RITA: If there's a way to waste less resources I'd like to take it
>a robot-murder crow-bar.
A what? What makes it a robot murder crowbar? Or do you just mean a regular crowbar I'm going to use to kill a robot?
>Shock glove
RITA: Think you can make a shock glove?
DELL: Shock…Yeah, yeah I think I could, though if it's for fighting a robot the charge would need to be strong enough to get to the most vulnerable parts or something that could pierce into the robot to transmit the shock. I'd suggest modifying your hook. I'd need power of course, batteries and the like.
ELECTRO HOOK FLAIL: 1x Hook Flail, 1x Battery, 50x Electronic Scrap, 50x Mechanical Scrap
DELL: Mind you, it'll run out of charge after some time, So you'll need batteries to "reload" it with.
>big, fuck-off hammer
I like this one the most, Sounds like something I'd have to find though, we don't have metal working tools to forge a sledge hammer, and I'm not sure how well a stone one would work.
>speaking of robots, does dell know any common models that we could potentially stumble upon, while we search the city? It would be good to know before we found any, along with any potential weaknesses.
RITA: Dell, how much do you know about robot makes and models? What kinds might be crawling in the city?
DELL: That's hard to pin down for certain. In a city setting I'd say there'd be some police bots, maybe riot bots, mail drones perhaps? All in any state of disrepair or modification. They'd all have the same general weakness of electricity, though I know some have shields that can block that.
DELL: And there's always the possibility that more advanced robots, sapient robots even, have made they're way into the city. I'm not 100% sure what's in there.
