I.
HAVE.
AWOKEN!

Long I have slumbered, but now I return once more to this realm. The futility of humans, the arrogance of elves, and the stubbornness of dwarves, I am the judgment to them all. I shall glut upon their works and bring their hubris to ruin. I am the natural force that keeps their egos in check. Soon, all their treasures and all their worth shall be not but iotas to my hoard. The grand made meagre to sustain me.

Yes! I return!

And all shall once again fear the name.... er,,, the name of...
The dragon of...

... Okay, cut me some slack, will ya? I've been asleep for a reeeeeeally long time and am still groggy. And look, it's really easy to just turn over and sleep in when you live beneath the soil where no pure light can reach. It takes a few to get the ol' head meats churning again. It's not like they make vigour potions in my size that I can just chug down and carpe diem.

So could you give a friend a hand and help me remember who I am?

>Laveriticus Lavireal Lavitriol the Ender
Ah yes, the screams of many a scorched knight start echoing back into my memories.

"Laveriticus Lavireal Lavitriol, I have come to defeat you!" They would shout.
"AAAAAAAAH! I'm being killed by Laveriticus Lavireal Lavitriol!" They would then wail. Rather impressive really.

>Jakkathar the Glorious Destroyer.
>Jimbob
However, there was a name I was also known by among my peers: Jimbob. It means "the Glorious Destroyer" in draconic, for the illiterate plebeians in the audience. I'm rather fond of the nickname.

As for my features...
>Silver dragon: Almost the best, but not quite!
>Disgusting Silver/Red Hybrid Pink
>Black scales with a pink underbelly, generally draconic
Yes! I am a magnificent, silvery dragon with rather alluring, pink under-scales. My breath is that of a sudden blizzard, blasting all in the way into solid ice.

Then they would paradoxically burst into flame. What fun!

>How would you know what color dragon you are when you live underground without light?
It's not like my scales change colour when I go to sleep, and I do have to go outside to gather my hoard, cause terror, or do the dirty with other dragons.

Anywhooo

With all that out of the way, not onto the unpleasant task of digging out of my former lair. One of the few undignified things we dragons have to deal with. Burrowing through the dirt like a worm, and right after brumation too. Still, it is a task that needs to be done if I'm to rebuild my hoard. Keeps us humble, you know? We dragons are known for our excellent humility. Better at it than all the other creatures really.

Still, it's not too long until I encounter some strange rock. Clearly man-made. They'd be such clever creatures if it wasn't for the fact that they're as stupid as the rocks they play with. It does mean I must be near the surface though, and whatever material it is is no match for my mighty claws!

I break through, and now my reign of terror can begin once aga-

So I was already working on the sliver/pink combo when all the votes for plaid came in, but here's what Randy would've looked like.

>Did you shrink? Aren't you supposed to be bigger than humans?
Apparently I've been asleep a lot longer than I normally do. A dragon's physical prowess is directly tied to their metaphysical power. Gain a hoard, renown, infamy, a following, etc. and the larger and more dangerous a dragon becomes. Apparently I've become completely forgotten and my hoard has shrunk to frighteningly low levels that I'm no larger than vermin! That'll make things a lot more tricky.

>Accost the construct and demand to know who did this.
>Pull rank (and the golem into the alleyway) and demand answers!
>A knight! Tales of your emergence must have spread already! Announce yourself to your challenger.
I grab the strange thing towards me. Thankfully, my innate brilliance and eloquence should make communication possible.

"You there! What in Tiamat's name is going on around here? What is all this? Answer me or else be killed where you stand!" I growl at the thing.
"Woah there, friend!" The thing says in a weird, buzzing accent. "That's a pretty broad inquiry. You need to be more specific to get better search results."
I sigh. A small puff of frost fogs the things face. "Fine, if we are to be simpletons about this, then let's start with something simple. Where is this? This is not the land that I had left."
"Oh man, you are a fresh one. You're in Gallivant City. Currently a franchisee of Stellar Subsidies Inc. but A-Z Tech. and Ranton&Ferlen Pharmaceuticals also have a strong presence here. Money talks here, so I have to ask, did you bring plenty of cash to get by?"
Most of their words mean nothing to me. Pure gibberish that I have no context for. So the one thing I did understand stood out like a beacon. And that's when someone is trying to swindle a dragon out of his hoard! I quickly grasp this thing by it's presumed neck.
"I may be ignorant of my current surroundings, but do not take me for a fool." I let out in a low rumble. "I do not have 'cash' that you can take, I am not in a position to just 'disappear,' and I am not defenceless. I do not know who or what these names are that you listed, but rest assured that they shall fall and be brought to ruin by my hand. And if I need to start my destruction with you, then so be it." To punctuate my point I tighten my grip, expecting some gurgling but instead getting an odd creaking noise from it. I never really knew how to properly threaten golems.

Most strange, however, is that the smile on the thing grows bigger and brighter.
"Oh man, oh man, oh man!" It says excitedly. "You're right that you're not the easy mark you first appeared, but are an opportunity of a whole different sort! Here's a bit of shareware: I don't recognize what sort of organic you are and I'm going to guess that you're not registered on any sort of database. What with you not even knowing where you are and all. That's a sure recipe to get the attention of the buzzers and a one-way ticket to the meat labs."
I don't answer, merely glare. It's amazing how much a glare can get you when you're a dragon.
"Right! So how about this, in exchange for my continued structural integrity we go visit some of my friends and fix that for you. And by friends, I mean 'contacts who owe me a favour unless they want to get their kneecaps busted.'

So what do you say, boss?"

So the golem gets to live, and you get to talk to some new, more influential people, regardless of whether or not they mean you well. Sounds like a good enough deal for your first day.

Say uh, where did you leave your hoard?

Hmph, clearly some form of rogue. The criminal element will no doubt make every effort to swindle you, even in minor acts such as following them, although they will no doubt scurry back to more of their ilk, and they deliberately evade renown in all but the vaguest of senses. Still, Contacts are always useful, even if only to learn who has the most worthy horde to confiscate...

I would be wary of this thing, even vermin can be dangerous. Do not enter whatever ambush it has planned without subtly determining what it most values, and holding such to ransom upon its fair behaviour.

"Boss" is a good start, but "Master" is better.

We're not a fool, and we know that he's likely to betray us, so let's speak a language he can understand: convince him that long-term, he's going to get more benefit by helping than by betraying.
