>Wait, what are we?
>What’s your name, then?
When I graduated from the Westshore Arcane Academy I was given the name and title of Archmage Tar ahg T'gyhnli. When my armies burned the Academy to the ground they called me Wyldych'til'daen.
But I prefer to go by my birth name, Rake. I am the one they came to call an ancient evil, a vile scourge, a savage beast. I was angry then, and in my anger I bound demons to flesh and called down fire from the skies. I razed the Empire from the edges and marched all the way to the Capitol's streets. I severed the head of their Emperor on the very throne he sat on.
Strangely enough, I can't seem to recall why I was so angry in the first place.
>So, why were you sealed like that anyway?
I was struck down by a young woman touched by sunlight. She drove the very spear that pinned me inside the well through my heart and ended my tyranny. I enjoyed my victory over the Emperor for all of five minutes.
>Yes, give it all the pets!
Absolutely, I bundle up Jagni into my arms so I may adore it even more.
>Do you feel the need for vengeance against those who sealed you? And if so, do you feel the need take it out on the questionably complicit, if not innocent?
If any of the descendents of the people to sealed me still live they are so far removed from the time that they may as well have no relation. No, I feel no need for vengeance at this point.
>Do you feel the same sense of fondness for any other forms of life, exceptions given, or are you more pragmatic in dealing with strangers? Has your time here made you reconsider these opinions, or have you always been this way?
I suppose my heart has softened, considering how readily I'm willing to take Jagni into my care. But I also felt nothing in watching the man die and stealing his flesh to finish my own. I wouldn't describe myself as admirable.
>In your former life, were you comfortable living in, or forming, an organized society, or preferred to live away from that?
...I suppose I've been on both sides of that fence.
