It is dark. Very dark.

The sound of dripping echoes softly.

A moist, moldy smell permeates the air.

Where am I?

I try to recollect my memories but there is only a dull ache.

The only thing that I can remember for sure is my name.

Loomr.

I sit up. Then I push myself to my feet.

Blood rushes from my head so I wobble for a moment before regaining my balance.

My eye quickly adjust to the darkness.

I am in a small, dank room. The floor is cold and dusty. The walls, ceiling, and floor are made of stone.

In the far left corner, a lone bucket sits. On the wall to my right, I can make out what seems to be a pair of skeletal arms hanging from some chains. There is also a wooden door with a barred window. A soft light flickers beyond.

What do I do?
>>
No. 787399 ID: 398fe1

The smell implies you're in a basement... which makes escaping more difficult.

First, see if you can read what's scribbled on the wall. Then peek out the bars in the door.

I didn’t even notice these. I just assumed they were cracks in the old stone.

I can barely read them. They seem to be written in chalk and it’s been mostly worn away. But what I am able to make out is… unnerving.

I really hope I’m not in a basement. I don’t think I could deal with that right now.

And there doesn’t seem to be any other way out. Not even a window. I’m surprised I can still breath at all.

I am not tall enough to reach the bars.

The light isn’t very bright at all even when I move closer to it.

I push on the door a little to see if it is really locked. Then I try to pull on it. It doesn’t give either way.

By the way, sorry about the crappy art. I am working with what i have.
>>
No. 787405 ID: ca0e20

Check to see if there's anything in the bucket.

If it's empty, bring it over to the door, turn it upside down and step on it, maybe you can reach the window that way.

My attention is immediately drawn to the torch being held by a sconce on the wall opposite the door. The torch bathes everything in a soft, wavering glow.

There is a table right below the torch. There is some paper and what looks to be a ring with a bunch of keys on it. Maybe those keys are my ticket out of here. But I doubt that the range of my Levitation is far enough to reach the keys.

I stay quiet for a moment, listening for any sign of life.

There is no sound. Only the subtle crackling and whispering of the soft flame.

I guess I need to find some other way to get out of here.

So. In this room, there is some skeletal arms hanging from some shackles, some disturbing writing on the walls, and a bucket. At least that’s what I can see.

Maybe you guys see some stuff that I don’t?
>>
No. 787472 ID: 48237d

Even if you could get your hands on those keys, would you be able to reach the lock? Let's ho so, because right now this is your best chance.
You short term levitation will certainly be very handy. Can you remove a long string or strip from your cloths? If you can, attach a bone at the end of the line and throw it. Hopefully you can drag that key at your levitation range.

Something's on the ground on the other side of the room, where you woke up. Something darker than the ground around it? Looks like a symbol.

Cam you levitate the bone arms over to grab the keys?

If you can, then when the the keys are in range, levitate the keys into the lock on the door. Keep trying different keys until you get the one that opens the lock on the door.

Good idea!

I can use the arms as a way to reach for the keys!

I understand what you’re telling me to do, but it’s called Levitation, not Telekinesis. I don’t know if my Levitation is fine-tuned enough to turn something. But I suppose I can try. But don’t hold your breath.

It’s kind of… difficult… to hold two things… at once.

I put both arms down for now to save some magick.

The circle in front of me becomes the only thing I can see- the only thing that is anchoring me to reality.

Fucked if we know. We've been called a lot of things, whispering wind spirits, hidden mind voices, the whispers from beyond, schizophrenia, take your pick. Hell there was one time in which we were part of an orb of infinite psyche. Honestly, we kinda just exist to help out adventurers and the odd passersby (and some of us can be a little naughty at time, hint hint wink wink).

We're called a lot of things, but thw general gist of it is that we're a gestalt of voices that are here because you have the potential to be very interesting. Most folks who hear us go on to do incredible things. We can help advise you, see things from an angle you can't, and in general act as a sort of advisory committee.

We can also be pervs from time to time and/or suggest you do certain things out of aheer curiosity.

Look, you spend millenia giving advice to countless other beings without any ability to experience it yourself, you lose track of certain things. Like consistent morals.

Like sanity. Sanity's a big one.

“Don’t try to help me. I still don’t trust you. How do I know that you didn’t somehow booby trap that spell or something?”

“Heh. Kid, listen, there’s no way ANYONE could mess with that book. Last time I tried destroying that annoying thing, it somehow replaced itself with one of my ears.”
