Diamond Song

>My guess is that you're about to be sacrificed to a terrible and bloodthirsty forest deity.
What??
>Also, as a general rule, can you be pointing to obvious noun objects and saying them, and get them to do likewise? ... Also, why haven't you been doing this already?
It's not like I'm some kind of expert in dealing with people speaking another language! I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't speak something I could understand before today, actually.
Also, I've been a little distracted, obviously.
>Kasaka probably thought they could hide you, and her Queen doesn't agree, and was angry that this mysterious person's anger might be attracted.
It's possible. It'd explain why Kasaka is acting the way she is, anyway.
>The queen recognized you for what you are. You aren't the first person from a higher-tech civilization to come here.
Kind of getting that vibe.
>Oh, hey, it's a secret underground facility!
I would say that's ridiculous, but it does kind of explain what I'm looking at, here.
>Looks like we're being sacrificed to a higher power. In this case its probably the secret base of the assholes that shot you down.
>It's a sign of modern technology. Probably a secret base. Probably where the missiles were shot from. There's a goddamn secret salikai base on this island and you've been sent here on punishment detail as their monthly offering.
...
That is... making way more sense than I want it to.
I mean, I, uh, mostly know about salikai from old TV shows, which are probably less than accurate, but ... secret underground base fits what I got out of those, anyway.
But I know for sure salikai don't like neumono, so I don't think I want to go to a "secret salikai base" very much.
Uhhhhh.
I don't like this.
>Give empathy for alarm, fear, recognition.
>Broadcast with both empathy and exaggerated body language: recognition, alarm, fear.
Yeah I'm starting to panic just a little, so this pretty much happens anyway.
"Why did you take me here? Ukui ahe??"
There's a pause, which I'm thinking might be because Kasaka isn't answering and the others are expecting her to talk for the group like she was doing before. She's completely ignoring my alarm, as well. I guess she's going to be brooding for a while.
>"A... ikia tirrurraki rukka. Ko se marra la. ... Sekka... ke ala." Finally, Murel says something. I feel like I've heard some of those phrases before, but I don't know what they mean.
At the very least, thogh, she and Okal now seem to be worried that I'm panicking, instead of worried about something I can't figure out.
Which I guess makes me feel a little better.
