The wagon jerks and jostles hard on the rough woodland roads, enough to bring me out of my weary stupor. I waken myself properly and look out to the distance. The tall walls and towers rise above the dense forest like sunbeams. Today is the day! We will finally arrive in the esteemed city of York, where I will undertake training and soon become a fully fledged knight! Perhaps I will even get to meet the King of England, find romance, and become a legendary warrior!

Your armor is built for maximum protection. You wield two big fat stonking shields (with spikes for poking your enemies). Your colors incorporate pink in some way, because you are a real man. Your sidearm is a spear.

Silver with red trim! A very defined and almost graceful silhouette

Your armor utilizes your visibility as much as possible! You have a sharp eye, after all--your skills are maximized when you're able to take in as much information as possible! So nothing too bulky or cumbersome.

Your armor is dark blue with silver trim, the words you used to describe it were "Sleek and Harsh". Your family's crest is a silver raindrop. Your weapon is a serrated longsword. You are the Son of the Storms.

Your armor looks like cobbled-together copper and silverware. This is a double-bluff for making your opponent think your armor is weak and brittle, then realizing it must be a trap, when it is in fact hodgepodge and haphazard. Those are the two words it was based off, in fact.
The heraldry looks suspiciously like a fingerpainting of a sheep.
Your weapons are a broomstick-handled, beaten copper lance and cauldron-bottom shield.

Stout and made of sleek black metal!
The words were "Dwarf Fortress."
Your heraldry is an adamantine shovel!
Your weapon is a spiked mace.

A mace and a shield.

>Shouldn't you have been receiving training as a squire already? What happened to your previous master?
I've received light combat training from the Lord at my village, but if I wish to be knighted then it is only natural I must travel to the nearest city for formal instruction.

Now that we have appearance out of the way, what is my name? One day soon I will be known as Sir ___!

My name is Lacey Owen Blackmoore! I was named after a legendary knight who earned many a victory in her time, I've often looked to her for courage in difficult times. I'm sure I will do my namesake proud in battle!

It's finally time to start my adventure.

I exit the wagon at the city gates, leaving it to deliver it's merchandise somewhere else inside. I have to check in with the knight captain sometime today, but until then I'm free to explore.
There's all sorts of new things to see and learn; where should I go first?

I head for the plaza first, with the help of an old map given to me by the Lord I was squired to before I left. Now that I'm in the middle of the bustling city, I can get my bearings.
There are many blacksmiths and pubs strewn across the area, no doubt the Knight-Captain and other squires can inform me of the ones they frequent. The only apothecary however is the Royal one, just outside the grand castle.

Looking closer at the map, I can see that there is actually a pub close by to the barracks. There is also a church just ahead of me in the plaza, an intimidating looking Knight is stood in front of it. Merchant stalls and hagglers are crowded around the square, heckling passers-by with their sales pitches. The castle lies to the north, along with most of the blacksmiths and upper-end type shops.

I walk up to the Knight and dip my head in respect, they grunt at me and tilt their head towards the building. I assume this means I'm allowed entry? I bow my head again and nervously walk inside; what an imposing figure!
However the inside of the church is equally imposing, it's filled with glittering archways and lavish frescoes on the ceiling, depicting the life of holy figures. At the other end of the long hall filled with pews, another Knight is knelt before the altar.
The symbols on his attire mark him as a man of faith and he wears a big, thick cloak; but what does his armour look like?

It's made of MANY retractable plates and whirling cogs, designed to take killing blows without a single dent!

And it's susceptible to rouge sneak attack crits and ranged target vitals.

Basically it's full of holes but you could get pummeled by an army for thirty minutes and barely feel a thing.

Thick and sturdy, sculpted of stone rather than forged of metal.
The wearer isn't going anywhere fast but little is going to halt their progress.

No. 720914 ID: f461c5

His armor is almost impossibly baroque, forged not of steel but of adamant, the absurdly durable metal forged foil-thin, ribs and twists maintaining structural integrity where the metal would otherwise flex. The armor's incredible lightness allows it to take up greater space, expansive pauldrons and a roomy cuirasse protecting both against concussive force, the only thing that could feasibly harm the wearer of such armor, and identification of the wearer's body type. They could be a scrawny blot in there for all anyone can tell, and the armor itself is lighter almost than can be believed.

The armor is heavily demonic in appearance and styling, which is oddly incongruous on a knight praying in church.

I clear my throat and the knight turns around, I can see his garb clearer now. The headgear is very distinctive and, even though I'm not from the city, I easily recognise it. It belongs to an Order of faithful warriors commanded by the church, but beyond that they are shrouded in mystery.

It's hard to tell if the knight is looking at me, or if he can see at all, but the mask faces my direction and he greets me with a cheery voice.
"Hello, I've not seen you around before! Have you also come looking for guidance?"

It's a little surprising hearing someone sounding so amiable in that armour.
"Yes, indeed. I only arrived in the city today, I'm exploring a little. I suppose there'll be a lot of knight hopefuls gathering here in the following weeks!" I laugh weakly, still nervous. "My name is Blackmoore, may I ask yours?"

"Martel, of the Jubilee. Sir Godfrey Martel."
