>Sounds like a pretty average KING
SK: I've, uh, not ever really SEEN or heard what the KING even really does besides what the people who come to send me off for training new KNIGHTS tell me.
>So what did he say? We just heard the VOLCANO GOD claim that this guy was a hero fallen to madness and greed, that the KING is corrupt, and that there was some vague external threat to Terra.
SK: He...talked a lot about how the KING wanted me dead for being too much a good guy that could thwart his plans to take over the whole continent. He was a HERO before this? That's something new to me. I suppose I should expect that. Even HEROES are just as flawed as the rest of us. The kind being Corrupt is a possibility as well. He doesn't seem to do as much to take care of the people as the previous KINGs. As for the external threat I think that's the PLAGUED LANDS but I might be wrong and there's yet another thing we have to worry about.
>What's a corrupted?
SK: Oh boy. Well where should I start? Well I should probably let you know of the PLAGUED LANDS first. The PLAGUED LANDS are a large portion of the continent that has been CORRUPTED by WILD MAGIC. WILD MAGIC itself is unpredictable, almost like CHAOS in a sense. WILD MAGIC however only can change somethings STATE to GOOD, EVIL, NEUTRAL, DEAD, ALIVE, DEAD, or ASCENDED. At least that's the theory. The problem here is that when WILD MAGIC comes into contact with a living being the beings NATURAL MAGIC reacts negatively causing them to mutate and morph into something far from their original form. ABOMINATIONS for example all used to be HUMANS. So a CORRUPT is basically the product of the WILD MAGIC and it's interaction with us. It also turns your blood a different colour. For that EX-KNIGHT to have retained his original form means he used to be far more powerful.
>What is his cause? It is dishonorable and unwise to use a sword with a SOUL against its will, but if his cause is compatible with yours you might be able to reach an understanding. If not, I guess you can just leave the sword dramatically sticking out of the knight's grave then (or bury the sword if his goal is evil and you want to keep it out of other hands).
SK: I don't know much about the sword but if the runes on it's side are any indication I can only assume it talks through them. It doesn't seem to be CORRUPTED at all and I get a feeling it doesn't like being an instrument of death. The poor SOUL, trapped in a OBJECT for all eternity. Though that's the fate of many unfortunate SOULS that battle against the PLAGUED LANDS every day.
>Look at tron photo.
The TORN PHOTO flickers in the wind as I pick it up.
SK: It's a picture of THE BROTHERS and their PARENTS. It looks like it's from years ago, back when they first went into KNIGHT TRAINING. It almost looks like it's from before I was born. I guess CORRUPTION increases your lifespan by some degree. The picture is also signed 'Taken by Sir Dunstan.' I don't know who that is but I don't know if he should be in the photo taking career.
>Check if he's really dead.
SK: There's no movement from his body and it looks like his eyes have glazed over already. Though it seems he's at the very edge of being dead. Even if I wanted to there's no way I could stop or revert his death at this point. I may have to deliver a MERCY KILLING so he doesn't suffer any longer than he needs to.
>Check for any more loot.
SK:On closer inspection I can see a SMALL SILVER POCKET WATCH on him as well. It's engraved with the initials G.H.
>Take his money and use it for an honorable cause like charity or other noble deeds.
SK: I suppose I should take the money and give it to some charity or someone that needs it later down the line. You never know, a little bit of coin could save someone's' chances in this world.
