the ring looks like it's been burnt through, and the six marks are half hemispheres actually cut perfectly out of the concrete floor.

everything here is so smooth it's almost textureless, I'm half surprised I can walk around without slipping.

the paintings are... odd.
each and every single one of them is blank, but as I follow them round I keep discovering more along the walls.
I'm not even sure I could find the ones I've already gone past.

Look for little placards next to the paintings. They should tell you what they are, which will at least tell you what kind of exhibit this is.

...or if you're really bad off, the language will at least tell you whereabouts in the world you are.

does that mean all the paintings in this room are the same exhibit?

huh.

the hall's styled exactly like the first room, only there are directions on the walls here.

there's a huge, insanely detailed hyperrealistic oil painting covering one wall, the placard underneath it calls it "Normalcy".

from here I can access the Lobby, a Planetarium, and a room marked "Möbius"
>>

I know that Möbius sounds the most important, but I really wanna check out the planetarium.

The direction you're coming from isn't labelled?

Lobby is probably the place to go if you want to figure out where the heck you are.

the planetarium is featureless and empty, but there's a tiny speck of light about head height in the centre.

I try to touch it... but my hand passes straight through.

I get the feeling that there's nothing here for me yet, so I go back upstairs to the lobby.

710101

wow. uh.

this is the lobby, apparently.
it looks like it's been lifted straight out of a cathedral, incense and all. the lower walls are light grey and featureless but after a point everything suddenly breaks off into yellowed sandstone.

the floor is decorated with tiles, and in the centre of the room is a circular help desk straight out of the more modern areas.
there's a stack of leaflets, some pens, some slots for key cards under the table and a blank tile labelled "Map".

from here there are doors to exhibits labelled "Space", "Time", "Chaos" and "Perception".
the "Chaos" door is locked, and the "Perception" door... is walled up?

I've just come from the "Space" exhibit.
>>

Isn't the lobby supposed to be where the entrance is? See if you can get at the materials at the help desk. Computer included.

Exit sounds good. Try opening the exit.

Clearly it won't require you to have all the keys to the other wings first, right?
>>
No. 712543 ID: 02422f

>>712050
Where's the exit? It's on the map, but I don't see one in the room.

It does look like there's one keycard per exhibit wing. Mabye you need to find them in order to leave?

there's no apparent exit here yet, and the only input for the desk is the key cards.

it does look like the key cards are in each exhibit, judging from the labels next to each slot.

717872

I haven't checked everywhere in the Space wing, but I'll go check Time.

on the wall opposite the entrance is an exit to a room marked "Orchard", which is past a wall too high to climb by myself.
there's a dial like an egg timer on a stand here.

the plaque on the wall next to it says "Self Help"

with no other input in the room, I turn back the dial 30 seconds...

...to see myself walk up to the dial, obliviously pushing me out of the way by the force of causality, and turn it back before disappearing.

from here I can go back to the lobby or interact with this exhibit more.
>>

>>717873
Go walk up to the ledge there, stand there for 10 seconds, then go and turn the dial back 30 seconds. Go climb on your past self to get up over the ledge.

...or if you feel like experimenting first, how far back does the egg timer go? You could see if anyone else has been in this room before you.
>>
No. 717930 ID: a075ba

>>717877
I would stand in front of the wall for more than 10 seconds. And cup your hands in front of you, like you were going to give someone a leg up. Make it easier for your time clone to climb up and over you.

718158

I set the timer, strike a pose, wait a minute and... give myself a leg up.

as I'm climbing, I notice that my old self is completely unchanged by me. I guess that makes sense, I didn't feel myself climb up when I stood there a minute ago.

the plaque next to the door asks me to contemplate time from the perspective of a tree as I traverse the exhibit, explaining how to the tree, it's tentacle-like branches are constantly moving to find light and grow.

718159

the next room is partially flooded, and there is a bridge over to a locked exit.

next to the entrance, there is another timer and a switch.

if I flick the switch...

718160

...the bridge disappears and the exit opens.

the water's extremely reflective, it's hard to tell how deep it is but it's further than I can see.

I consider messing around with the timer to see if anyone's been here, but I'd then have to wait a pretty long time for the timer to reset before I can move it again.
>>
No. 718164 ID: 5ad4a7

>>718160
Seems straightforward. Flip the switch back to make the bridge appear, wait like 20 seconds, and flip the switch to make the exit open, then set the timer back 30 seconds. Cross when the bridge appears, then exit when your copy flips the switch again.

the new room is separated in half by an enormous glass screen. on the other side is a pulley system holding up a couple of heavy shutters.

next to you is a timer like before, and a lever.

it looks like when you pull it...

...the shutters switch.

I only just realised you can solve this like you did the last one. Hard mode: if the copy touches the lever, the exit shuts.
>>
No. 718178 ID: 5ad4a7

>>718177
Potential hard mode solution: Go stand under the first shutter for 15 seconds, come back and turn the timer back 30 seconds. Flip the lever once your copy is under the shutter. The copy should be completely immovable, so the shutter will stop partway through and you can go under the second shutter.

718179

I line myself up, wait, walk back, pull the lever and...

...wow that shutter was heavier and a lot less durable than it looked.

my copy walks back, and I leave through the hole I made.

the original solution for this was to shut one and have your copy walk through it, forcing it open hulk style, and the original solution for the one before was to turn off the bridge and give yourself a piggyback while your copy walked over thin air. these solutions work pretty well though.

this last room is fairly big, but it's the tallest room I think I've ever seen. the ceiling keeps going up like the inside of a chimney. there's no obvious exit but there's a small mound in the centre and tiny insects buzzing all around.

the dial on the pedestal is different from the others. the numbers on it are arranged logarithmically, it's set right now to "1".
the others could only turn anticlockwise but this can turn either way. the highest number is 10^12, the lowest is 1/10^12.

Huh. The videogamey solution would be to set it at a speed where you could hang on and ride it up, but would that be safe? Maybe if you advance time enough it'll die and fall against a wall, and you can climb up the slope.
