This quest is a remake of my first quest, Boobs and Dragons. It was originally about evil. Then, the quest was about sexuality, so I renamed it to Boobs and Dragons.

Wiki: http://tgchan.org/wiki/Boobs_and_Dragons

Infinity may be torture, I do not know. That I’ll find out. I’m called a dragon cultist. We kill, rule and know.

I know that dragon eggs are valued. Maybe there’s a bigger deal up here at a dragon’s nesting ground however.

Shafan: "You saved me there hahaha!"

Orpidu: "I was leaving anyways..."

Shafan: "You kissed me!"

Orpidu: "And you oukt to keep better company."

Shafan: "I'm not going back there, although it's a shame that the loot was left behind..."

Orpidu: "It's up to you, you can come wid me to Kryddcarn or go back, or elsewere."

I can't believe this, that poison really was something that put things together and broke the shit down! I wonder how long my luck is going to last...

Not so sure that was lucky. You lost your kill, the egg, and it looks like you lost the dragon you seduced. You got new poison, so you're basically back to square one now.

Shirnight's just that dumb.

Go back and berate her for the barbecue. She got her "revenge" (spitting dragonfire at the people responsible for her mother's death), so let's concentrate on protecting the egg from harm.

During this cold, crescent-lit night I'm pondering... Where is Shirnight?

The Egg is gone as well. The gold is still here, well, most of it.

And now I lost the dimensional travel to the capital of the order, stuck with the pussies in the wet kindergarden with just a lifetime of a wealthy merchant's earnings. No egg, no dragon. And the legendary poison Orpidu personally trusted me with.

Sorry.

Grab some of the horde for now and bury the rest for later.

Find Shirnight. She's too stupid to survive on her own; maybe she went to the hideout in the forest?

So much at risk due to disorganization. This doesn't feel real.

You need to find Shirnight as soon as possible, or she might leave with the egg and never come back, or might get killed doing something stupid. You should respect her more, she may be stupid but she's loyal and brave.

But if you're not going to look right now, then bury the rest of the hoard so that your spoils won't get infiltrated by ANOTHER professional whose very presence damages the bond between you and your idiot friend.

It hits me hard. The egg is not only worth a fortune, but if it hatches... Don't know how long dragons take to grow into maturity! I don't know! But with life extension potions I could tame AN OWN DRAGON into whatever suits me best. I need to breed dragons, it's what the world needs. I'll... I'll get the egg and Shirnight back.

You are an idiot, Shirnight will kill you if she sees you again. Take the gold, hide some, bring the rest back to town and use it to hire a slave crew and have them harvest the dragon corpse, Find someone you think you can trust to oversee the work, and then you can set out to find shirnight and the egg.

Cute. An entire fiasco and you lost your friend AND her little sister for two million bucks. For reference, you can buy a water ration for about one buck. Plus tax.

I screwed up. I really hope we can fix this.

If she finally catches on about the facts that YOU MURDERED HER MOTHER INTENTIONALLY AND WANTED TO SELL HER NEWBORN SISTER, please try to refer to her that you probably SAVED THEIR LIVES; Orpidu would likely have taken advantage of her the same way that you did, only you were going to make her your servant and he was going to process her and the egg for ingredients. If Shirnight's mother somehow kicked Orpidu's ass then she would go right back to ritually sacrificing her newborn daughter.

So yeah, put it into perspective, alright?
>>
No. 706416 ID: f7a64f

Good, use a fair amount of money to hire spies and informants who can point us to where Shirnight has fled too. Dragons are never all that low profile, right? There should be tales and rumors. You were given more dragon poison to work with, but keep in mind nothing is stopping you from hiring archers and hunting it the old fashioned way.

I spend 100 000 gdins to establish a spy network using existing trade networks and intel from my order.

Shirnight has been spotted in the East, heading towards the Rusting Waste

A black dragon has been spotted northeast from Kunk Noll.

The reports took 2 weeks to arrive and were delivered from a weeks horseback travel one way.
>>
No. 706485 ID: 2ccbb3

Okay, gather a team and go after Shirnight, but also attempt to find the other dragon. Head East-Northeast so you can split up the team to go after both if necessary.

I don't think the average dragon is as dumb as Shirnight, so capture / diplomacy may not be an option. However, if your team can simply track the dragon to their nest, you can kill the dragon yourself and claim the eggs. They probably won't betray you because it's stupid to confront a dragon's nest without the poisons, and if they do betray you then they'll likely earn you favor with Orpidu. Easy.

Whatever you do, DO NOT EQUIP THE DRAGON POISON WHILE NEAR SHIRNIGHT. You can still salvage this relationship, however screwed up it is.
>>
No. 706508 ID: f7a64f

Don't be weak. If you think you can find trustworthy people, hire a few to travel with you. Before you leave to the east to chase down Shirnight, compensate the apothecary for the poison she gave you, and inquire with her about where she got it and the possibility of acquiring more. Be sure to bring enough money to hire people and purchase equipment as needed, and if you can find someone you trust to do it without your presence, set someone to process or sell both the dragonbone and impure gold.

707236

As a proper coincidence, an order from Kryddcarn by Orpidu himself reaches Kunk Noll by birdmail. It declares that Shafan is to be made the First Dragonblood in Kunk Noll, a leader. I accept this formality with ambition and proceed to the ceremony.

After the ceremony I gather all eleven Marked Ones and explain that I'm going after a dragon to domesticate it. I have thirteen followers from which to choose a fellowship.

>Alchemists:
Luxaria
Bentyl

>Artificers:
Uxmar
Zenix
Kelmaru

>Agents:
Yasmin
Enduil
Ramon

>Warriors:
Zicar

>Acolytes:
Ukkar
Medin
Farsa
Scylla

Naturally, I would choose women, but I need some strong arms and assertive men as well. I would foremost take Luxaria with me. She is fond of travelling and is the wisest among these jugglers. Other than Luxaria, I would choose Scylla to do menial tasks so she could one day advance in position and maybe become something. Kelmaru is too self-absorbed to be anything but harm. Uxmar knows more about how to fish the neccessities of life and crafts than he can craft anything unique. I would also take all the agents that tried to find Shirnight just to show them how it's done. Zicar is needed at Kunk Noll to keep order in the quarters.

ok, take Luxaria and Scylla, and the strongest from among the acolytes.

From the artisans, choose someone who might be able to operate or perhaps even construct a arbalest. You'll also need pack animals and/or a slave crew to help operate such a thing (once you have one of course).

Finally, select one of the agents, one you personally trust. Their job will be travel ahead of your retinue, scouting cities you visit for potential threats, more dragon sightings, more leads on dragon poison, and even if lucky opportunity to expand your network of spies.

Don't forget to stock yourself with adequate gear and provisions for the journey.

Large Expansions:
* Expanded Treasure Chamber: Nah. Expect to spend large quantities of gold on a regular basis. You'll only want this if you find a powerful dragon who will settle for a huge pile of gold, and even then they can defend most of the hoard out in the open on their own.
* Inn/Coffee House: Really depends on how many people you intend to invite to your base. Even if their potential is high, you don't want that room to go unused during periods of war.
* Arcane Library: Technology is your greatest asset. You will want to train scholars to do research for you.
* Training Hall: Get this first! Your roster of soldiers is pathetic, you will need a small army to handle non-dragons, and training them from the ground up will help foster company loyalty.
* Alchemy Laboratory: When you get Shirnight and her sister back, you'll want this for all the dragon shavings you collect. Not exactly prevalent at the moment.
* Mythical Studies: Might be a good idea, but you'll want to pursue tech and alchemy trees first. You aren't exactly a mage-oriented company yet.
* Embassy: No. Not here, not now. You do not have enough assets to support your diplomacy.
Small Expansions:
* Shrine: I... don't think any deities will smile upon you. To say the least about your penchant for making friends of the orphans you made.
* Office: You'll need this, but not yet; your company is too small for this to make a profit. Try to position this in a center position, make it easy to find.
* Torture Chamber: You have no prisoners. Don't get this until your jail cell is crowding.
* Jail: You have NO prisoners. Wait until you get too many to look after yourself.
* Gym: This might be useful, but for now the Training hall will suffice.
* Animal Pen: This is a good one. Ranching your own eggs and meat will be good for self-sustainment during the winter. Plus, animals are good for stress relief!
* Quarters: Sturdy beds are always good for morale. There should be enough to fit your current squad.

So my opinion is Training Hall, Arcane Library, Animal Pen, and Quarters.
>>
No. 707250 ID: f7a64f

I agree that we need alchemy and arcane labs, and a training room for guards, but I think all these things will require recruits so I think a small external coffee house/inn would be a good.

A small treasure room is needed as well, as we can't very well carry the excess of wealth you've obtained already, let alone the rare materials you've collected. Make it well hidden, so that acolytes and new initiates dont get any ideas.

I know some things about our agents.

Yasmin is an Ancient One. She’s proficient in foreign cultures and people. She originates from the Great Eastern Sands, or underneath them. She can defend herself too, but only uses blunt weapons to knock out enemies.

Ramon is an assassin from Kunk Noll. Unfit for royal games, he’s been raised in the way of His Shadow. Ramon is a womanly man, usually quite easy to get along with, but he isn’t assertive.

Enduil, a hari, teaches the way of His Shadow. Weird, but greatly intelligent, Enduil doesn’t fit among other haris. His patience, perception and attention make him an exceptional hari, but he’s so annoying.

Before I leave I consult the mining and construction bureau and they give me a deal to excavate premises for a new tavern and coffee house in the nearby tunnels.

The construction bureau also agrees to expand the Dragon Marked premises so that a single large room will house an arcane and alchemy lab, a second large room will house training space for martial practices and new quarters will be expanded to house many new members in the future.

I'm only returning from House of Serpents in one of Kunk Noll's Upper Districts with mild inebriation from honor servings. These invitations have been raining to me after people started to discover I relieved the realm from a threat of a dragon and brought great wealth to the city.

"Slayer... Slayer..." A cloaked man mutters.
"Slayer..."
"Sleeps with serpents..."
"You will taste their poison BITCH!" He pulls out a dagger.

You're very lightly armed, as often. You only have a long court ladies' disabling needle you don't know how to use very well yet. It's used to cause disabling pain by connecting it to an important nerve, if neccessary. Assessing the situation with senses you seem to have a clear athletic advantage over the shady figure in the side alley. Other people nearby don't seem to notice the situation develop.

Weird mix of insults. Is he upset we killed a dragon or tried to ally with one? (Our seduction attempt went pretty badly south after we killed her mother, it's not like we even did any sleeping!).

>Assessing the situation with senses you seem to have a clear athletic advantage over the shady figure in the side alley.
Just try to disable or disarm them with hand to hand. You don't even need a weapon to make him lose his grip, or put him on the ground, or get him in a hold.

Also maybe he'll give up some information if he's not dead.
>>

Dont want to get poisoned yourself so be careful to stay out of his reach. If you see an opportunity grab his weapon arm and twist it till it's behind his back.

If he turns out faster and is just feigning weakness a retreat to your cult would be wise. If you do get the upper hand some questioning is in order.

I kick the poison dagger very carefully out of his reach and start wrapping his limbs in cloth ropes that I create from my black silk robe. Yes,
I've heard the tales from Yasmin about her race, the Ancient Ones. They are some sort of sauroids, evil and twisted from their minds, she explains. They live underneath a large death thirsty desert far in the East. Making it sound strange now, it's exactly the direction where Shirnight has flown.

>>716845
You don't really know about these sauroids and their ideas. They've been around since forever, maybe they really have found a way to interbreed their race with dragons - another species that has been around since the World Reckoning.

Now that this is out of the way I can concentrate on personal preparations. Strangely enough, I'm starting to feel like I'm in a game of poisoning.

Martial Preparations for the journey involve equipment and alignment: Will Shafan concentrate her efforts on defending the party in case of an ambush or a self-initiated combat? Will nightly practice sessions involve a broad approach to possible violent actions, or will there be a special tactic to be learned?

Social Preparations, will Shafan readily fall into intimidation or bribery, or will she be more seducive and subtle in social confrontations. What items, such as gifts or religious idols will she carry?

How much gold and personal luxury should Shafan bring with her? Comfort and Recreation purposes are important for a human to maintain a productive mindset.

What kind of mount will Shafan personally ride? Mount is a powerful symbol of status.
>>
No. 717864 ID: f7a64f

Martially, work to obtain general proficiency in combat, as that will be required to pull of any special maneuvers anyway. Shirnight likely has a dragon cult, and at some point you'll need to plan a special attack against them but for now just concentrate on becoming proficient in combat.

Socially you should be flexible. Use Seduction or guile as a default, as we don't want to make enemies unless it's necessary, but don't be afraid to bribe or intimidate, particularly with those for whom an amicable relationship is not possible.

With regards to wealth and luxury, I assume this trip is going to involve a lot of spending, so we should be traveling in a caravan, as we'll need one to carry the gold anyway. In fact, it might be appropriate to hire a merchant and treat this as a trading mission, as it will allow you to travel with less scrutiny, and maybe offset the I'm sure significant costs of this journey and mission.

With regards to actual luxuries, be free with fine food and drink for this trip, and reward yourself and your subordinates as you want. Your cult has grown in power manyfold thanks to your recent victory (or perhaps failure, I'm not sure what you consider it), and it would be inappropriate not to celebrate it as your new status allows.
