Your name is Sapphire Fish!

You are a Cat, a common but undeniably versatile race found all across the Land. You have no assigned Class, and are lv 1, with mediocre stats and only 500 Halibucks to your name.

Your only weapon is that Cute Collar you wear around your neck.

You have begun a journey for a mystical weapon called the Panty. Its power is great, and you need it if you are to fulfill your Quest.

You head over to the Bakery, since it's right next door. You should buy some Food for your Journey.

Food can be eaten to regain Health. Occasionally, Food will provide Other Affects as well.

Bread :: 250 Halibucks

Hearty and filling. Regenerates a good amount of health.

Fishy Cupcake :: 125 Halibucks

Tastes like sardines. Regenerates a decent amount of health.

Gingerbread Cat :: 50 Halibucks

Tastes of ginger. Used to heal Ailments, a treat favored by children. Regenerates a meager amount of health.

We are poor. Try to steal a Fishy Cupcake and Gingerbread Cat; we don't want to get greedy and increase our odds of getting caught. That way we'll have some healing while we explore and try to make some more money.

Buy a gingerbread cat.

Don't steal, you're right next door to your home. The people here know you. That means they could make trouble for you when you come home, or your family. Or they could just trash your house while you're gone.

Basic "don't shit where you eat" principles apply.

Given your lack of money, you contemplate shoplifting some smaller items. But since the Baker is a family friend, you can't find it in your heart to steal from the old cat.

You do flirt, though, hoping that you might be able to sweet-talk a discount. Instead you embarrass yourself so much that you give him a 25 Halibuck tip on top of your order to hide your shame.

You can now view your Charisma stat! It's abysmal.

You can now view your inventory! There is space for 4 items, you might want to visit a Shop and see about a larger bag.

200 Halibucks have been deducted from your Wallet, you have 300 left.

2 new items have been added to your inventory.

You need to work on that charisma. Seriously, it could be your most important stat.

You realize you need to head to the School in the next town over if you ever hope to be strong enough to find the Panty.

At the School, you will be trained in one of many disciplines. These disciplines will affect your Stats in different ways, and at the end of your training you will inherit a Skill that will help you along your journey. The Skill you inherit depends greatly on your studies, and the choices you make while you learn.

> There are four Classes that interest you most. You should probably decide which one to pursue before you get there...

Perennial Class, Symbol: The Clover

This Class produces decent weapons wielders, with average skills in combat. Their training takes place entirely in the outdoors, and they become much hardier for it. They also gain vast knowledge of their natural surroundings. In this class, many essential survivalist skills are taught, including: effectively repairing weapons, hunting and cleaning prey, and identifying tracks.

If you choose this class, it seems like you would have have the great fortune of being able to find rare plants, animals, or minerals that may aid you later on...

Best Stats: Defense, Constitution

Emotive Class, Symbol: A Bleeding Heart

Trained in the art of persuasion and quick study, a diverse class that produces Performers, Thieves, Politicians, and anything in-between. Not as evil as most people make it out to be. The student learns as much about themselves as they do other people, and some (very few) have even chosen to pursue personal enlightenment.

Money comes easy to many in the Emotive Class, and one of their most admired traits is their ability to figure themselves out of "impossible" situations. You might have a little trouble with this one given your terrible charisma, but who knows?

Best Stats: Intelligence, Charisma

Force Class, Symbol: Energy

This class has an affinity for magic wielding, and most go on to master an elemental form of magic. This class hits hard and fast, honing their bodies to contain and produce large volumes of magic. Given the immense amount of energy they use on a daily basis, they often exhaust themselves and need more time to rest and recharge than most. When exhausted, people more easily succumb to poison or disease, so those trained in this Class know to be careful when they've been using magic continuously.

This Class is often lauded for their immense strength, after being required to hone their physical forms to near perfection in order to wield a very taxing form of magic. Given your newfound strength, you might be tempted to try and end the battle quickly by unleashing ruthless attacks early on--but be careful not to exhaust yourself at the beginning of battle, or you might run into trouble...

Best Stats: Attack, Speed

Brewers Class, Symbol: The Round-Bottom Flask

A basic Class well-suited for Chefs, Pharmacists, and anyone interested in cooking up something freaky. This class is another versatile choice, and actually gives a choice between learning to wield magic or weapons. Brewers have good practical skills, many of which include being able to make foods and medicines others adventurers have to shell out massive Halibucks for.

If you find a Master in this field, you might even be able to get them to teach you special recipes for foods, potions, or medicines you've never seen before. Of course, you'd have to collect the ingredients first...

Best Stats: Intelligence, Constitution

Choose wisely.

We should probably try to look into more of our stats if we want to make a fully informed decision on this, and we don't have to make a choice until we reach the school anyway. Attack, Defense, and Constitution should be easy enough since we're bound to get into at least one fight on the way to the next town, but we need a way to test for our intelligence.
>>
No. 696982 ID: 15a025

Yeah before we pick a class we should probably see what are current stats are.

You are suddenly unsure of which choice would be best for you. You're also unsure of all your strengths and weaknesses...

Suddenly, you happen upon the Main Road! It seems that it will take you straight to either Laywood, the town with the School, or Beechmil, a city with a large shopping district where you could find Work or Supplies.

Continuing into the woods is also a dark, unmarked path. It seems odd that the signpost would have no marker for it.
