You open your eyes to find your body cold and shivering. Your hair lays slick against your head and neck. You're flushed but still very cold, and you're groggy. You fell asleep in the bath. Again.

Your hand is weak and gropes for the acrylic lip of the tub.

What time is it?

Party o' clock! Make sure you still have both your kidneys.

There's a window beside your shower. You remember that it's impractical and invasive and it's always bugged you. But outside of it, the world is very, very dark. The sun has not yet risen. You guess that it's midnight.

What are you doing home at midnight? You usually don't get home until sunrise. Third shift sucks but pays the bills. But not tonight.

Sick. Some kind of sick. You know that the only reason you're not busy getting covered in salt and grease is because you must've called out.

They're probably angry at you for it, and that makes your stomach sink.

You don't feel quite sick but rather some sort of ill. Maybe you were just having "one of those nights" again.

Sitting in the dark never did you any good before, and it's not doing any good now. You grope around on the wall before you find a switch.

Everything looks perfectly normal. Cramped and small and not quite clean. Except---

Why is the door left wide open?
>>
No. 657102 ID: 8fee69

Peek through the door cautiously.
>>
No. 657118 ID: 2a7417

Because the door's broken and won't stay shut. That's normal.

Why were you in the tub? Either you were stumbling around deliriously while sick and don't remember everything, or someone else is involved here somehow.

You always take baths when you're having an "episode" or whatever they like to call it. The last time you slept in the bath long enough for the water to run cold, you had a, what did they say? A psychotic break. Seeing things that weren't there and hearing things that weren't there either.

But if that had happened, you would've remembered. The thought of someone else doing this to you is scary. But at this point, who knows.

This door works fine and always has. But you decide to check it out anyway. You get out of the bath and don't even drain it, just go to check the door, still dripping wet. Upon closer observation, the everything seems normal. Except that it's open, and god knows you'd never want to leave it open.

Close it, then dry off before investigating the rest of your house/apartment.

You dry off quickly and throw on a bathrobe. It feels good to be dry instead of dripping wet and it makes your head a little clearer.

You shut the door tightly behind you. You wish you could lock it from the outside, just to quell the paranoia that's building inside. But you can't.

Your bedroom looks the same as any other day, just cleaner. Still, you can't shake the strange feeling that's filling you, and you can't help but ask yourself: is there anything that seems a little off?

Door's open. Bed might look a bit weird too. Do you usually make your bed?

Is your wastebasket normally sitting kinda in comparatively the middle of the room?
>>
No. 657388 ID: ab7529

Also, the nightstand is completely empty. Who doesn't leave something laying around?
>>
No. 657396 ID: 8fee69

The wastebasket's position seems a little off.
