In simple terms yes. At least some of you recall.. I'll break it down for you though.. just in case. Our next op is Sheer Heart Attack. Objectives were as follows; (1) Infiltrate Experimental Weapons Research Lab. (2) Eliminate-That means kill in this case- Doctor Peter Brough. (3) Safely recover LBFD prototype. (4) Plant explosive charges in labs.. that's uh.. That's it I think. Then the next op starts, and I get out of there. Looks like I've been packed the standard stuff. My pack can carry twelve items at a time. Not counting the stuff I carry on my person. Like in my hands or pockets, or in a holster. I have a holster for a pistol and a knife currently. In my pack is the standard stuff for an op like this...

Silenced Pistol (7 Rounds), Knife, Pistol clips (2 that's 14 rounds extra total), Dynamite (To plant).. And.. What is all this? What else did you guys pack me, exactly?

I creep closer, very slowly, until I can properly make out the outpost.. The fence completely surrounds it, and the gate appears to be locked. There's a guard next to the tent armed with an assault rifle, and a guard in the guardtower armed with a sniper rifle.. I should be able to get close to the fence if I'm careful.. How should I approach this?

I go low, shimmy shimmy-ing my way around to the machinegunner's left side. I manage to avoid being spotted by the sniper as well. I stand next to the fence. I don't think it's electrified, but there's no way to tell.

>Yeah, use the multitool, first to determine if it's electric, and then to cut.

I test it quickly, then cut through without a problem. It's not electrified. The level of security on this fence is pretty lax, honestly. I guess they figured their guards would be competent enough to protect the place.

>Also confirm your kills, we don't want a half-dead guard triggering the alarm while we're deep in the lair.

Tent guard is confirmed dead. Can't get eyes on the sniper though. There's no ladder leading up there. It must be a rope ladder they extend. I could climb up there if you really want me to. Hope it's not slippery.

I do this for a bit, feeling a tad silly before stomping on what appears to be metal beneath the dirt. I feel around, tracing out the seams of a rather large metal trapdoor. Clearing off some dirt confirms this. There's no handles on it. I can't imagine how it's opened.

Will do. I toss the ladder down, making the descent a whole lot easier. I toss a few batteries into the radio and some doohickies on it light up. A voice immediately cracks through, mid sentence.

"-ainment is green, sir. Haven't heard from the checkpoint. Think they took the batteries out again. Jackasses."

A deep, tired voice responds, "Well when they're tired of the cold and contact you for the door, tell them I'd like a word. Bows shouldn't be teaching the new guy bad habits."

"Yes sir, I agree. Will do, sir. Over and out."

Well. I guess the radio works fine. Huh. I don't have to worry about them hearing me until I push the button on the mic. Sounds like the door can only be opened from below, and they just tell 'em to. I wonder if there's a password or something.

Sure. I scan through the several notes for anything that sticks out like a sore thumb. I come across a note titled, 'Trapdoor Password' I open it immedietly.

'If you are reading this, you either stole my PA or killed me. In either case, let me start out here by saying fuck you. Firstly for killing me, and secondly for stealing my PA. Did you seriously think someone would put the passcode for the door in their Personal Assistant? You would have to be a complete fucking mong to do that shit. Unluckily for you, opening this message has activated a set of codes, informing the gentlemen below that you're here. Okay that isn't true, but I wish it was. Seriously, fuck you. Did you know I have three kids to feed back home? 'Where is daddy?' my youngest, charlie will ask his mother. She won't know how to answer. Okay I don't have a family. But if I did that's what it would be like, and....'

It goes on like this for at least fifteen pages. It's a testamant to what a human being will do when they are completely and utterly bored out of their mind. There's nothing useful on this PA. It looks like it was barely used. Just notes about movie ideas. My personal favorite is titled, 'Five Guys Three Holes' Despite it's name, it's not a porn, but a movie about the dangers of escevating without proper safety equipment.

I return the PA to the sniper after taking the battery and re utilizing it. Maybe someone will find his last move notes and make a movie about him. I doubt it.

The tent guard's PA is a lot more useful. Looks like he kept a lot of superfluous notes about directions around the base. Looks like he was new. Ah! Perfect! I open a note titled, 'Secrets, DO NOT READ, PAUL' My name is not Paul so I have no problem.

'Code is 4915-E Alpha Wings. Paul if you're reading this, please don't get mad. I just can't remember it, dude. Why can't it be something simpler, it's so hard to remember that weird crap.'

He's right. I re-pocket the tent guard's PA, the password fresh in my mind.

>Alright. Administer the passcode to the radio.

I do so. The radio cracks to life once more. "Oh well look who wants to come in from the cold. Briggs is pissed at you, Bows. You're in trooublleeee~ Come on down."

I hear a loud mechanical grinding as the trapdoor begins to raise, showering the ground below it with loose dirt.

> Be ready with your pistol in case there's a guard there to greet you.

I strap the rifle to my back and ready my pistol as I head downstairs.

As I head down the stairs, I immediately see another guard, waiting for his friends. As he realizes what's going on, the look of humor on his face vanishes and he reaches for his weapon on the table behind him. I have three shots in my pistol.

Don't know if you can say this quickly enough, but inform him that you can fire faster than he can pick up his gun, aim, and fire. Tell him that he can get out of here safe if he shuts up and just walks outside. After we search him of course.

If you can't get all that out then just pop pop him I guess

Tell him to freeze. If he does not comply, shoot him.

It might be a good idea to interrogate someone at some point and he's alone, so.

"FREEZE! I CAN SHOOT YOU FAS-" I don't get to finish the sentence. He continues towards the gun, and I fire on reflex. The bullet passes through his head, and breaks the radio behind him. He slumps forward, dead. Two bullets left.

Careful, they're likely onto you, so equip the assault rifle and zoom through the compound.

I take it. No rigging here. Just a regular snub nose. Six shots.

>Grab something solid the block the hatch. It might be on a timer, and opening it from the inside may not be as easy as an unprotected button.

Good thinking, Champion, but I got another idea. I remove some trinkets from the mechanism of the door with my multitool, effectively disabling it. It'll stay open now.

>Careful, they're likely onto you, so equip the assault rifle and zoom through the compound.

You sure, Champion? I thought I handled that pretty quietly. In any case, I stow my pistol and ready up the assault rifle.

Yelling like that kind of defeats the purpose of your silencer. Just look for the fire selector on the gun and see if it has words or tick marks.

Valid point. Eheh... Nothing on the gun, just 'auto' and 'burst'. I'd count on it being three shots or so at a time though. That's the usual.

>Go right first.

I do so. It's a bathroom. Empty. It seems kind of irrelevant to my mission to be here. But honestly I guess they need a bathroom. I-Is that.. Is that tiny fancy soap on the sink?

Watch it, there's someone in the shower. Keep your gun trained on them. Step to the side of the door, close it, and tell them to put their hands up above the curtain.

I raise my weapon, stepping to the side and closing the door behind me. I hear an audible sigh of relief. Must think I left.

"Raise your hands above the curtain. Slowly. No funny movements or you're gone." The silence following this is deafening.

"....Don't shoot. Just don't shoot me! I.." He opens the curtain slowly, after raising his hands above it. Looks like I caught him with his pants down. Like, literally. He has no weapons, and is shaking like a leaf.

>Nicely done. Bind him with EVERYTHING you can find. EVERYTHING.

>yank the curtains so he can toga up.

I tear down the curtains, binding him. He cooperated to the best of his ability. This guy is scared as shit of me. Probably has an idea of what happened to his friends.

>First, how many others are on this floor?

He responds instantly, "Th-Three guys! Er- Well two of them should be topside right now but if you're here they're probably.. Oh man.. Oh shit, oh god.." He relapses into silence. From the sound of it, he's the last one left on this floor. Meaning I took care of all of his friends.

>Second, what's in the lab on the lower floors?

"Uhh.." He thinks, "I don't know, man! I don't have clearance to go any lower than the second floor. There's like, uh, a.. a security checkpoint, and like, a few labs maybe? I don't know what's in them man, I hear it's guns and stuff. Military shit! It's a big place, man! There's a lotta stuff! You're never gonna get pass the checkpoint! They'll spot an outsider super quick!"

This dude talks too much. Either he's lying a whole lot, or he really doesn't have great clearance.

"Bows! Ask Bows! He had better clearance than me! He'd know what's down there better!"

Am I done with this guy, or is there something else you wanna ask. What am I doing with this guy anyway, Champion?

Put him in the bathtub, place a really heavy object over his lower torso, and turn the water on. If he starts screaming turn it to full. You can grab him after the mission if you both survive.

Or just gag him, bind him further, and put him on top of the tower and destroy the ladder. Let's go with that.

Sure I could do that. But he's gonna freeze if I leave him out there.. Might as well bypass the middle-man..

>short term, no clue. long term he's gotta die anyways, thats the mission.

I enter the room across the hall, rifle up once more. Nothing. Nobody, that is. Mighta been telling the truth. In the room are four beds, a dresser probably full of clothing, two more assault rifles, and.. Wow. That is a pile of IDs on that dresser. These guys were probably supposed to be wearing these. Done and done. I stuff three rifle clips in one space in my pack. I can do that with smaller items like ammo, but only to a limit of threes.

Checking. Yeah, full of clothes. Only one extra guard uniform though. Must belong to the guy in the shower. Lucky.

We're going full undercover? Oh man this is some real spy shit right here. I should probably stick to one identity or else I'm gonna start lookin' real suspicious. Am I going with the radio dude then? He has the highest clearance out of them. No telling how long I'll be incognito.. How's about it, Champion? Who am I being?

David Lee, AKA Shower Guard - Age:24, Height:5'6, Weight:140, Date Of Enlistment: 6/8/2014, Clearance Lvl: 1. He's sort of in the middle, he's been here awhile, but has low clearance.

Michael Cynthia, AKA Tent Guard - Age:22, Height:5'11, Weight:180, Date Of Enlistment: 1/2/2017, Clearance Lvl: 1. He's brand new, so I might be able to get away with not knowing more stuff about the place, but my clearance will be lower.

Roger Bows, AKA Sniper - Age:46, Height:5'10, Weight:220, Date Of Enlistment: 6/12/2014, Clearance Lvl: 2. He seems to be known as a man with poor habits, he has a bit higher clearance level.

Tony Hopper, AKA Radio Guard - Age:23, Height:5'11, Weight:190, Date Of Enlistment: 6/8/2013, Clearance Lvl: 3. He has the highest clearance, but might be expected to know more about the place.

>Hmm... Bows has the best excuse for going down there. He's in trouble with the boss. I'm just worried you won't sound like him.

Alright. Bows it is. As for sounding like him.. Well, I'm sure it will be fine. Unless the dude has a really weird voice, I should be fine. This means I'll be able to enter areas with a Level 2 Basic Security Clearance, and nobody will care. I'll hang on to the Level 3 ID to use when I'm out of sight.

Alright Champion. I'm in my new duds, got some extra Assault Rifle ammo, the level 2 and level 3 IDs, and.. and a sense of espionage, I guess? Yeah sure why not. Am I good to go? Might not be so easy to come up and down too much, so if there's any last minute things you need me to do up here, let me know. I still gotta take care of our bathtub friend as well.
