he is George... he is very unremarkable and that makes him sad
in the world of unremarkable people George has decided to set out to become remarkable.
armed with nothing but his grandmothers rusty old sword and his average wits George seeks to pass into distinctiveness
in the distance there is a horrible mean, menacing, modly catle.
it all begins here, what does george do?

yes! a Quest to complete! an adventure to go on! George tells the old man that he accepts to help remove the infestation. the old man looks at George for a second or so before finally saying "Alright. let me get the bridge down."
he disappears from the window and before long the clanking of wheels turn and the drawbridge starts to descend. George quickly moves out of the way fearing a premature and humiliating death.
the bridge is now open, Should George enter?

George bravely steps onto the drawbridge and through the threshold. the room before him is large... very large... very freaking large! there's a stairway at the back seemingly blocked by large metal poles at the top. at the base of the stairs there are two statues and two doors to his right and one to his left behind him there is the open drawbridge and a door seemingly leading into a office where the old man was.

Left? Okay George will go left into the old man's office!
As George peers his head through the door, he hears a mighty splash followed by "OH GOD, THE LEACHES!" which is then followed by "burble, burble, bleagh" as the victim seems have drowned. Standing by the window is a small reptilian creature slowly retracting his arms from the now slightly wet window. It seems like the creature hasn't noticed George. It doesn't look threatening but it must be stronger than looks seeing as it pushed the old man out of the window.

Sneak attack! a perfect plan!

Unfortunately for George, all of Georges stealthiness amounts to a rather average tip-toe and the reptilian creature notices him immediately and turns around. Fortunately for George, he has the element of surprise. The startled creature raises his hands in fear.

George checks the note on the table. he uses his unremarkable reading skills to determine what's on the note.
The note reads: "the castle is in okay condition however big portions of the castle will have to be restored. While we have been able to open most of the doors few still remain locked and we might have to call in a locksmith at some point. Other things to note is the apparent infestation which will have to get removed before we can consider selling. Overall estimated value; A lot of moneys (we will have to send for Patrical the mathematician for a more reliable estimation.)
Below the last sentence is a name is so messy it might belong to a doctors.
Looking finally to the corpse George searches it and finds a arrow-like spear. As George picks it up he wonders why the creature didn't use it instead of showing the man. That is, until it snaps in his hand. Talk about flimsy

George decides to look at what caused the yellow stains in the foyer. Turning back the way he came, George looks at the stain and tries to determine who or what created it. Scanning the area George looks and finds the culprit rather easily. A slug. The trail it seems to excrete is very yellow, George doesn't think the slug is very harmful but just in case he pokes the slug. Other than having very slimy texture and being slightly cold it doesn't seem to do much.

In order to do this George needs to first find somewhere where he can find the right things to do this. Perhaps a kitchen?

[out of character moment here:]WHO DOES THAT WITH A SLUG?! HOW WOULD IT EVEN BE GOOD IN A DINNER PARTY? What, you walk up to a club a say "What up, i got a yellow goo spraying slug!" you'd probably get thrown out... and banned.
The slug doesn't appear to be able to spray goo. Taking it with George would probably leave him with a very gooey hand or a very sticky pocket.
>>620365
George stops looking at the slug and stares instead at the tapestry on the other side of the room. Upon further inspection George finds that its a grey cotton one with the words 'TAPESTRY...' interwoven in it in black. George thinks the person who originally owned it had a very bad taste
>>
No. 620767 ID: 46df9e

should probably add the any X on the entrances means we haven't checked them. the two mismatched things in the front of the castle are windows the reason why one looks like 4 lines on the building is because it had bars on it (don't question my logic). i tried to add anything of interest, probably forgot some things, sorry if i did.

Picking up the slug and putting down Jeremy, George takes the slug to the extraction fan and begins to put it into the said extraction fan. Suddenly a loud squelch is heard. Apparently the extractor fan was still on, now there's bits of slug everywhere! George stands there in shock. That's going to be very hard to wash off!
Through the left door you say?
sorry for not doing the second bit to your post suggestion buut i felt that just doing the slug would serve for a better impact >:D

Oh god... if anyone asks, the slug did that by itself, it was a suicide.

Well, yeah, left door.

Brilliant! A fake suicide note, the slugs friends and family would never suspect a thing! But in order for George to create the note he'd need some sort of paper and a pen.
Where would George find those things?
>>628458
Gathering up Jeremy, George open the left door. Through the door is a very long corridor with 2 doors; one in the middle and one on the right, there's also a rug with the words RUG on it very clearly albeit at a weird angle. the door in the middle has what seems to be a padlock on it.

Roll up the rug, it's probably hiding a pit trap as well as a lump.

Oh my god there is!

Rolling up the rug as best he can, George examines under the rug, excited at the thought of a hidden trap door. George lifts up the rug revealing a sea slug and a few unremarkable coins. Well it looks like George's hopes of finding a trap door are dashed.

Looking at the padlock George can see that it's very thick and is holding the door it's attached to locked. Upon closer inspection it seems a little rusted but not significantly. It must need a key of some sort to open. Where could we find something like that?

Through the other door of course! ADVENTURE!

Use the slug's goo to corrode the lock
