>"I'm sorry. I'm pretty bad with faces and names...I'd probably forget my own Mother, haha!"
That was really cheesy. Oh well.
Alana laughed into the back of her hand, waving you off. She was amused, obviously. I hope she wasn't mad at me...
"It's fine, it's fine. I didn't expect you to remember me anyways. You used to come to my Father's restaurant sometimes. The Baked Berry. I believe you went there for you birthdays a lot...I was always your waitress, heh. I'm usually the only waitress." The Baked Berry? That's my favorite restaurant. My parents take me there for my birthday each year. They serve the best berry pies you ever ate, along with cakes, bars, cookies and even berry ice cream! They're most known for their desserts, but they serve main dishes as well. Every item on the menu has a certain kind of berry in it. It's extremely popular, but unfortunately, extremely expensive as well...that's why I only go once a year.
>"Wow, your Father owns that place? I love eating there... I don't get to go very often, but it's always a treat!"
I exclaim, a bit excited that she worked there. Alana seemed real happy to hear that. However, I could feel a strange...presence in the room. As I looked around, I started to notice that a lot of the other boys were glaring at me. I bet Alana is pretty sought after in this school, especially with how pretty she was. Oh well, it was silly to dwell on something like that.
"The next teacher is gonna be here soon, so I'm going back to my seat, ok?" Alana waved at me and returned to her spot. A stupid smile was stuck to my face a few minutes afterwards, and kept popping up during the day as well. The next two classes, Pokemon Literature and Anthology, flew by faster than I expected. They weren't particularly interesting, but they were a welcomed improvement from Math...
The lunch period began after Anthology wrapped up and students started to file out of the classroom. I packed up my things and tried to leave to get to the cafeteria, but a student stopped me before I could. He held up a stack of notebooks, grinning.
"Hey, before you head to lunch, do you wanna drop these off at the library? I was supposed to but I need to take care of some other things first. Please?"
Should I take them or decline and head to lunch?
