When it comes to the Sen, it is difficult to separate fact from fiction. This is mostly because after the Gates were built, almost no one dares go near the Sen, even if it was not forbidden. You know they’re vicious, after all.
A lot of people don’t dare go near the Gates, too, but you are not a lot of people. You are only one person, and you live under the Gates - alongside a lot of other plaguelings.
