“This.”
“That… and that,”
“That again, like this…”
“Make it like this…” “Good now that.”
Cybhira protests “This is…”
“I know. There we go.”
You lose consciousness again. Time and space seem loose and faraway concepts, except there is pain. You once even think you’re facing a darkness – not another reincarnation, but a void beyond the Universe, a coffin your hands tied and all the parts of life floating around you waiting to be materialized as another live experience. But then the Other grabs a hold of you again and opens the coffin. Your senses drain back in a flush of light.
“There, he should be back from the box again. Well done Cybhira, have you considered qualifying as a medical professional for your next assignment? Now look, his eyes are open.”
“Fish… Blurrrbl. That… Promethea. Where? What? That is, the crash happened – how did everything go? Pililly? Pililly? Pililly? bluaarh”
“Um…”
“Pililly, Pililly… Pilily you operated me. Don’t know if thanks or am confused. I am.”
“They’re always a little bit funny after the box. This is more like sad. Don’t you giggle Cybhira, it could have been you as well. It’s no joke. As to where we are…”
“Yes Pillillylli bluarbh?”
“Indeed. The plasma shield dug a deep hole in the middle of the Pandil city. It overheated and consumed all power and the power set also melted. We’re running on emergency power. We cut the ground diagonally and bounced up a little bit from a more heatresistant layer when the shield started to weaken. Then we stopped and the momentum threw you to the side of the pilot’s cabin. You never used the safety belt. As for what now, we could just walk out of the cave by cutting a plating open... Cybhira knows how. I could identify the lasers coming from Dama weaponry.”
“Achalonian lasers?”
“Yes.”
“Fishfuck. How much biomass do we have?”
“Biomass?”
“Nevermind.”
Cybhira seems to catch the meaning of my words, but stays silent with an effort, until she breaks the silence asking, “Something that we have in Utzi heaven?”
“Shame on you Cybhira. The last thing I want to hear now is about Madman Genesis.” Pililly presumably seems to swallow the bait and slips off the concept of biomass, before concluding her thoughts. “I would like to hear your ideas over the next course of action Numina-Captain.”
