tell him that his parents love him no matter what but it sounds like hard time may be ahead. Just let him know that even at times when life just seems unfair there will always be something to make it better down the road, you just have to make it there first. Like this road of light we walk. Right now it's kinda dark and scary but if we keep walking it will get better at some point. even if it takes a while to reach the end and we see even scarier things as we walk it, the bad can only last for so long before all that is left is the good. so lets see where this trail will take us hmmm.

It is too dark. You can no longer hear anything. The wind chimes have stopped, and you have no idea where Gavin is either. His breathing seems to have halted.

Oh-kay. Um. Hello? Anything there?

Gavin was breathing? Well so much for that idea. Don't try to see right now. What can you smell?

You manage to flicker a light.
What you see doesn't really shock you, but you can hear a small gasp. You cant tell if it's from Gavin or whatever this thing is.

>>535133
You call out a small '...H-Hello?' yet you don't get a response.

>>535143
Blood, and something else. Some kind of gross stench.

Uh, dodge? It looks like it got someone already!

Your eyes begin to adjust again, as you were just without light for awhile.
What you see frightens you.

>>539160
Dodge what? It hasn't attacked yet.
Besides, you're too scared to move right now. Those are some fangs you don't want to see in your neck.

It isn't attacking? Is it moving at all? Where's Gavin?

...maybe this would be a good time to wake up. Before this dream gets ugly.

wait and see if it does anything, if it doesn't react to you then see if you can't walk around it and keep moving forward.

Ask "What are you?"
Maybe it's just a statue and you will just feel silly about talking to an inanimate object.

Ha, screw that.
First off, mate, your form is a bit lacking. Good on you with the blood and the teeth and the whole "lurking in the darkness" deal, but you arent quite there yet. See, the trick to good horror is SUBTELTY. you cant just burst in from the darkness going ABLOOGYWOOGY at us, you gotta get us nice and primed, put us off ease with some good spooky happenings and the occasional chase, keeping us from seeing you in the first place.
I will admit though, the whole silence deal is rather good. VERY offputting. Still, work on your form and try again in a few updates!
Remember: SUBTELTY is where true horror lies. Get us wary before trying to scare us shitless!
(Yes, I am really suggesting we give the nightmare pointers.)
