I need to patch this. And Fast.
Lop off legs, attach axes
Utilize HAY as MAKESHIFT THREAD to seal up BLEEDING SIDE
>>495549 Nothing but sand around me I'm getting Dehydrated too.
In that case, better wait for night. Bury yourself in the sand until the heat of the day goes away; moving around is only going to make the injury worse, and dehydrate you faster.
Smoke behind you, your doing? Even if it is... its the best place to find water and supplies.
Do you have any bandages? If not, I guess you'll have to use cloth. Like, perhaps from your scarf.
Drink the sand.
>>495556 Can't go back. Rauders are searching for me there. >>495555 Night would be convenient but I need to patch this. now.
>>495566 That works well. I'm gonna have sand mouth if there's a sand storm. But it works.
Before I can plot or devise a plan... I knew I left a trail.
>>495547 Rauders. Shit.
Weak enough as it is, I could try to fight them...
You can't outrun them and there's nothing to hide behind. Fighting seems to be your only option.
And raiders will have water. Supplies for the desert. We fight.
'Must be hot as hell in those robes, even the horses look like they're sweating.' I think as they come within range and I draw my Axe forward.
Throw your axe slice off all their heads
They've dismounted and some of these men I recognize from in town.
They probably just want to talk to you then. Speak with them, and if their demands aren't to your liking; kill them.
"I don't suppose we can talk about this?" I ask while they draw their weapons and I do the same.
weapons out means talking is over. hard and fast strike at the nearest one.
They got off a horse to fight? I would've thought they would try to keep the height advantage. Try not to get surrounded.
Damn. As I killed the first one, (they thought it'd be easy enough to take me down with their biggest man) I felt my wound rip a bit and begin to bleed again. Other than that I go unscathed but my clothes do happen to get a decent red dye.
gotta do it fast then. use their supplies to heal.
I curse as the Raiders, indeed, surround me. My realization of this is the thud of a short sword clunking into my right pauldron. The three left work their entrance from the front. Only who to kill first?
Kill the one behind you first then move so that the one on the right is in between you and the others. Bonus points if you can kill him without looking at him.
I slide backwards, pulling back from my attackers and somewhere behind me a groan of death echoes and hot blood spatters my back as I convert my axe into a blade.
The left one begins getting nervous as I throw the second Raider down and turn to the last three. Their horses are getting uneasy and the one on the right speaks in a frightened voice to the front one with a tongue I am unfamiliar with.
nicely done. I think if you kill this one the rest will break and run. Have you dealt with a two sword style before? The best thing I can think of is make him block with both then kick them hard.
I swing but my axe lunges too slow and the front Raider dodges to my left and... My abdomen is penetrated as I release my axe and I am caught before I tumble to the ground and the sword is slowly removed from my gut. "You weren't supposed to kill him!" "Don't you think I know that!?" "Yeah, I'm sorry. Rookie get the casualty kit from the horses!" My vision blurs and I fade into a haze of dream.
Damn. Wonder why they want you alive?
With blurry vision, I wake up on the ground.
Get ye axe
Look around.
>>495745 My Chest creaks in pain as I lean up to see my surroundings.
check your wounds. then examine that thing on the floor.
To my left, a book in again, an unfamiliar language. A metal mug. A bundle of blankets. My wound seems tended to but I can't reach that plate of food without extreme pain.
Open the book to see if there is anything hidden in it. See if the mug has anything to drink in it.
I open the book and find a map of Nagoria, a continent across several oceans from mine... And yet it says this is our location...
That's disconcerting. Take the map.(even if you have to tear the page) Are you hungry/thirsty? Did they take all of your items/equipment? (otherwise, check inventory)
>>495776 I've got my armor and some things they missed. I'm parched but too weak to reach that mug.
Use stake to slide mug over. Lifting it would make it spill for sure. Anything you want to tell us about you? (family, quest, why you were standing bloodied outside of a burning town?)
>>495780 The mug was filled to the brim with water and I finished drinking whatever I didn't spill. I am from the land of stone, far from where I encountered the Raiders and further from Nagoria. I took up my cause as an Axman when my father died and I came of age because I was done in my home with the last bit of my family either gone or dead. When in a traveling platoon moving across the Eastern Desert we were ambushed and I was lost in the desert. My horse led me to paths and canyons I didn't know and I began to starve. The first goddamned place I found was an enemy affiliated town but the real law there were the outlaws. I quickly made friends and escaped by causing a fire. I don't know what I was thinking by running into the desert like I did but that's when I realized I had been cut somewhere in the chaos in the town behind me. The rest you know.
If you don't feel up to getting the plate of food, the only thing you can do is rest or call out to your captors. Call out to whoever is guarding that you are awake. What does being an Axman entail? You turned your axe into a sword, so it cannot just be the class of weapon you wield.
