Oh, well usually Natty can open doors. Like her door or mine. But she says this one is different. I don't really see how it could be, but I kind of understand that she's scared.

That's probably why she's nervous, yeah. We don't usually leave our rooms, let alone go into Ma's room without her prompting.
Though she hasn't talked to us for a very long time, so I wouldn't expect her to.
I open the door with the flashlight in my hand, which Nat quietly tells me is helpful. I point it forward, though I don't really know which way I'm facing.
Natty tells me some of the things she sees in a tiny, scared voice. When I try to help her calm down, she goes completely silent and I can't find her.
"Natty?"
I hear her breathing. But I don't feel her.
What should I do?
