Is there any reason an armed intruder would be after you? Or do you believe he is a burglar?

Okay, you really don't seem to be in a good position to take him on. Retreat. If there's a phone upstairs, grab it and call 911 (or 999 or whatever the appropriate emergency number is in your country). If the phone is mobile, or if there isn't a phone, retreat further. Find a place to hide and lock yourself in, or exit the house, through a back door or window.

What's scarier, yule? A rain of water, or a rain of bullets? Because it's your choice which to face.

So unless you're a magic being made of sugar who melts in the rain, but has bullets pass through her harmlessly, you're going out that window.
>>
No. 433546 ID: 6e41cb

Actually, if you have an oldschool corded phone, those tend to work just fine without power. Separate lines without transformers and fuses to be damaged and all.

Before dealing with anything else though, was there any indication that the intruder noticed you were here? Your bedroom here is pretty darn spartan. If someone's looking for stuff to steal, odds are they'd just give it one quick glance and move on. Contrary to panicky instinct, your best bet might just be to kinda cower in the corner and wait for him to leave. It's like dealing with a bear. You leave him alone, he leaves you alone... well, except for taking all your stuff, but that's going to happen with the fleeing plan too.

>>
No. 434217 ID: 1b9919

This really isn't a good position if she has to stay out here very long. She's on a narrow, wet ledge, 3 stories up. She's traumatized and afraid. She's got a very narrow frame, and is dressed lightly, in the cold and wet.

Staying up here her options are to basically wait until uncontrollable shivering and/or exhaustion makes her fall off, or hang out long enough to catch pneumonia. These are not good options.

If the man leaves quickly, you can sneak in and dry off. If he doesn't, you're going to need to get down from here and find some kind of shelter.

Okay, if you decide to jump over to that tree and not, say, wait for the crazy man with a gun to leave, here's what you do. Don't try to jump regularly, that won't work with your clothes. Instead, _Carefully_ crouch (keep your eyes on the tree), then let yourself fall forward and as soon as you feel like you're falling off the ledge, _push off_ as strong as you can. Aim for the main trunk, not one of the branches. Move your head to the side so you don't faceplant into the trunk, and as soon as you hit it, hold on as hard as you can. You'll probably not be able to avoid sliding down it in that gown - that's okay. Just keep in mind that this'll probably make some noise, so once you hit the ground, get up and _run_!

Or just wait for the silly man to go away.

Yule is glad to know at least this much about where she is.

>Let's look around for some kind of shelter.

Yule can't see much through the thick mist except for a few other grassy pillars, some near, some far.

>Do you think you can climb down?

Yule thinks the grass is wet from the rain. If she tries climbing down, she may slip.

Yule doesn't have any idea of how far she might fall.

>Your fears aside, hanging out in the cold and the wet in naught but a light dress isn't a good idea.

Yule is scared, and very cold.

Yule wishes it would stop raining.

Yule wishes she knew what was going on.

Yule wishes she knew what to do.

Yule doesn't know the first thing about being a weaver!

Yule also thinks that the grass is too wet to be of any use, at least as far as she can see.

>Ask outloud if Alan is around.
>Go "HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP"

Yule cries out into the mist, but only the whistling of the wind responds.

Yule stands still, out of ideas and very scared.

Well this thing sure seems contradictory. If it's not going to even let us talk, might as well just wait until it runs out of steam; it doesn't seem immediately inclined to do us harm, anyway.

If he calms down, try to have a more civil conversation; otherwise just wait for him to storm off and then wriggle free.
