You're Johnson, an american soldier send to Iraq several years back. Though you haven't seen much action, the years you spend in the desert has changed you. But how were you before?
What did you do before coming here? Did you have a lover? How was your relationship with your family? What was your job?
Why did the army even put you here?
You try to think, but all you see is sand and sun. All you dream about is sand and sun.
It doesn't matter anyway.
You're here now, between bureaucracy, enemy gunfire, court marshals and the desert sun.

yeah, if it's custom then they probably want to keep it that way. any paper on the desk blank? if so then write a note saying 'new guy' and an arrow point up, then tape it to the be rail. then get some sleep.

You somehow feel more exhausted than when you went to sleep.

You take a closer look at the scratchings above your pillow. You must have been too tired to notice it before.
Someone indeed carved a crude image into the wall.
This might be why you had that unsettling dream.

You pull on the stick in the left corner to find out its a thick cable, going from the floor to the ceiling. It doesn't budge.

You unfold the chair and sit down in front of the broken window. Everything outside looks the same.

You look around to see if you can make out any city lights or other landmarks, but there's nothing. You can't even make out from which direction you travelled here.

You quickly turn the knob before another verse has a chance to complete. Much of it is static.
You finally find a solid signal. It sounds like a talkshow but they are speaking arabian which you don't understand. You ponder wether you should continue looking for signals or stick to this.

You have a twelve hour shift ahead. Since Strasberg was already sleeping, you are pretty sure it started. However, you have no idea what time it is.

You are starting to feel restless.

Just read through the quest, and I really enjoy it.

I've noticed that there was a piece of paper with something written on it on the side of your bed when you woke up. That paper wasn't there when you went to sleep. You should check it out.
