The Brood came without warning and without hesitation. In mere nights, the elders of the city had been ripped and torn asunder, their ashes blown to the wind or their vitae drank in Amaranth, their unliving souls destroyed.

Mortal police attributed it to large scale gang warfare and several major gangs were taken down and put into jail for a crime they didn't commit, and for a while the city was dead, a Necropolis that once held a hundred Kindred.

Mere handfulls remain to reclaim the city now, the neonates were the ones in control of the reins. You are one of these power hungry neonates, gunning for the largest peice of...

Damnation City.

As with all Kindred, you had no choice in which clain you were born again into.

But remind me, what was the clan that your sire gave to you all those nights ago?

Were you the Ventrue Childe, the savvy political powerhouse brought in to help keep his dominion under hold?

Were you the young firebrand Gangrel, quick to anger and just as quick to end problems with your claws, brought in by your sire to protect his at risk territory?

Or were you the Mekhet, the one brought into your clan because of a string of supernatural murders that you were investigating in life getting the better of you?

Gangrel of course. We shall claw asses and not bother with taking names. And we shall be smart about it.

I would ask if we could be from any other clan, but that would just lead to another Fishmalk. Goodness knows we have enough of those around.

My apologies for the memory lapse. Of course you are the Gangrel, its plain by the predatory look you gave me when i asked the question.

The night is almost over and the sun will rise soon. There are a number of places that you could claim as your own to use as a haven and to begin your new dominion.

The Junkyard is a pit. But in a way, that could be put to good use. With the junkyard as a haven you gain a very secure haven, though somewhat lacking in size. It is out of the way and the metallic paths are almost mazelike.

Perhaps you could be interested in a seedy nightclub in Downtown Necropolis? its in the commercial district and would provide ample places to feed - low supplies of blood would never be something you would have to worry about.

Or perhaps you would prefer to make your home melding with the earth in Necropolis Park? while your haven's security would leave something to be desired it is by far the largest of the three options.

Once you choose one of these, soon after the sun will rise and your first night as one of the movers and shakers in this old dead town will be over. But when the sun goes down again, you'll be able to get your assets in order and carve a home out of this shithole city...

Lets go with the nightclub. The park would be fine if we weren't trying to set up a base of operations for a power grab. But as we're trying to do just that we need a place with decent security but also decent recruiting grounds.

I agree. Lets.

The Meat Hook was part of the old Rack - the neutral feeding grounds of vampires in the city that technically belonged to the prince. But since they all died, you swooped in to take control of it.

A very long time ago, the Meat Hook was a major butchery and meat processing building in the heart of the city, but after it went bankrupt its been used as many different things.

Luckily for you, it didn't take much effort at all to ghoul the Club's owner into your servitude. All it took was a little strongarming and a little manipulation and its all yours.

>Asset Gained: Ashton the Bartender (Streetwise 2).

Streetwise is a useful asset to have - Allowing you to find out information on who owns where, what gangs are nearby and who to talk to when you want to get in contact with the underworld types.

The night is young. There are a number of things that you could do, like looking for new assets or finding out the lay of the city streets.

Lazing around isnt really your thing. So, what should we do?

First order of business is to talk to our new contact and find out what's been going on in the immediate area- who might be useful to recruit into our soon-to-be empire, and who might need to be disposed of before they become a problem.

Find out what gangs there are in the area.

Also try to find some really nasty dogs, some sort of rottweiler/sheafer mixed breed that is used to guard a junkyard or something. Ghoul one or three like that and use it to guard our newly aquired place.

Ashton:
"The local gang that does the most work in this area goes by the name 'The Nines'. Red's their signature colour and they generally wear a lot of gold jewelry to show just how much money they make. They do a lot of drug dealing, and i really do mean a lot of it."

"As for stuff that been going on recently, i guess the big thing would be about the massacres that have been going on. Pretty weird how they're not leaving behind corpses but... uh. I guess i know the reason for that now. If you'd like to go for it, you could probably get a few allies in the police by revealing information to them, but im not sure how much you want to talk about it"
He's right. It could be a threat to the masquerade to give too much information about whats going on. Alternatively, there are a lot of police around right now that could be bent to support you, but you'd have to be damn careful as they would be more likely to respond to nicey-nicey rather then threats.

Ashton puts you in contact with a local criminal who breeds dogs for the dog fighting circuits. He only has one dog to pass on right now and he's asking for a lot of money for it. You could probably just about afford to pay for it, unless you have any better ideas?

Purchase the doggie. Make a ghoul and faithful companion out of it. We could probably win back the money later if we put it in the fight pit.

Invite the gangleader to your bar for a friendly chat. Make sure his drink is spiked with some vamp blood, ours specifically. Do the same thing with one of the more crooked cops in the force.

I like your style, particularly with regards to ghouling up this gang leader and the cops. We'll have to get some other vampires working with us eventually, but money and security first is a good way to start.

If we can do that quickly, it's a good way to spend the night; otherwise take a walk around the area, get a solid idea of what the terrain is like and pick up on anything interesting going on.
