I can create them all, but they're just chunks of data. Most of them aren't readable without the proper method - those were usually provided to us by applications. I can read some files on my own - simple text, some image formats, etc.

That's not a bad idea. If I want it to do anything but look good I'll have to devote some time to compile its actual function. I'll devote a bit of myself to that now.

Sprites are unique - no two are alike, except for twins but everyone's a little weirded out by them. I could create another sprite, and even make them look similar to me, but they would be their own sprite. Sprites have produced simulacrums in the past - daemons that are made to look and act like sprites, but they're just soulless golems. It's not a practice that was looked well upon.
> Internet/network
I'm not sure I want to go out there without any purpose - risking myself senselessly isn't in the top ten on my to-do list. This partition is completely desolate, or so it seems, but there are other places I can go. I could go back to the C partition - I'm not sure what I'd find there. There are lots of different hardware interfaces I could try and make my way to - they should be relatively untouched by all this, but I've never been there personally.
The problem with going anywhere, though, is getting there. Two problems, in fact. Firstly, I'll have to go to the RAM stream to get anywhere, and that is a very chaotic, dangerous place without an application thread to ride on. Second, there's the Garbage Collector: It doesn't come here because this hidden partition is unindexed, but if I go anywhere outside of here I run the risk of drawing its attention. Any data that isn't where it's supposed to be gets "collected" by the Garbage Collector. It's the sprite reaper.
