Also before you ask, it was from how a slice of pie would be perfectly suited for a sergal mouth.

Thus me and my group now call a pie with a slice missing a sergalbite.

I'll take a Nevrean and Mushroom one, please.

Sudden desire to play a sergal cheesemonger, for approximately the same reason.

Not necessarily a character concept, but I would like to save up fot a battleship in a game. Once had a swashbuckling monk well on his way to that goal. Then he was a werewolf, then the game died.

I've suggested it a few times on /tg/, but one of my group is dead set against Dark Sun as anything other than a fixing campaign (i.e. completely ruining the setting), so here it is.

Thri-kreen that imprinted on a particularly thuggish and corrupt Templar, cares overmuch for its appearance, used to more expensive and fancy equipment than making due. Knows his way around rackets and schemes, but lacks the patience to put them into effect most of the time. Unfamiliar with others of his race. Cast out when his master absconded with one million ceramic pieces and fled into the desert.

His name?

Bugsy Million.

You may now groan.

>Dark Sun as anything other than a fixing campaign (i.e. completely ruining the setting)
Dark Sun can be a fixing campaign. You won't accomplish much during the first 20 levels, but it can be done. And come to think of it, you won't accomplish much past that point either. But if you accomplish your epic destiny it is entirely possible to make a significant positive difference to the setting, without ruining it. A subsequent campaign can heavily feature the ramifications of that change.

Unless the plotline is 'Gods return to reawaken the ancient plane and make it a paradise of leaves and water and also kill everything remotely morally objectionable (or ugly) because I don't like them' he's not interested.
But this thread isn't about bitching about THAT GUY.
So.

Kenku rogue that grew up in a magocracy and steals whatever kinds of magic shit he can in order to fake being a mage.

That mad me remember, we had a powerful mage (true caster actually) that faked being a prestidigitator, you know, a Vegas mage...

My strangest character might be my goblins, yep goblins, i roleplayed an entire community of goblins in a hight level campaign. And in this campaing >>315718 I'm playing a robot dwarf with thechnomancy and we have a tentacle demon, a man made of magical pot smoke, a communist brain in jar and a Centaur-unicorn-pegasus... from Armenia.

Say whatever you want about random crazy adventures, they are fun as hell.

Pie is now official sergal food as far as I'm concerned.

A while back I had them in a setting release rabbits into the ecosystem a few years before a big push so they had rations on the go.
This was after a wikibinge on how carnivore digestive systems work.

Also, kobold that desperately wants to be a dragon, leading to the development of psionic potential in order to manifest dragon bits from ectoplasm.

And now I can't unthink Kobold genehackers. Whacked out on steroids to bulk up to a grotesque size, some sort of fire producing gland (probably illegally harvested from a dragon, or cloned in some way using an unfortunately dispensable temporary host organism), partially mechanical wings +lifting system, etc.

This actually puts me in mind of a setting I had the idea for a while back.
Eberron accelerated to Dark Sun.
Magic and magitech EVERYWHERE, and the primary method of adventuring is heading out to alternate Primes in order to find some place where the dimensional distortions let you stay for more than a month or so. Civilisation is desperately trying to find another place to jam all of it's many people before the sun goes out.
All sorts of jokes on pop culture, racial slurs, etc, and completely absurd magitech.

Modern superhero game: psionic construct pretending to be a demon in order to preserve it's own existence. While making the stats, it somehow ended up as Ghost Rider the Luchador.

Yeeeeeeesss...should one require the players to write up magical incantations for their attacks, assume those are automatically done, or just do without? Perhaps incantations as a power multiplier? Usually big long incantations are signs of someone's crap about to get beaten out. Not always, though.

...I'll shut up now.

I could see charged incantations or something, where the more rounds you spend nattering on and doing ceremonial stuff.

Gnoll Lamashtu heretic, convinced of the sanctity of all children, not just the monstrous ones. Also a very good clown. Something like the joker crossed with Gamera.

The spellcard system from Touhou Danmaku Yuugi might be the only useful thing from the whole manual. It allows you to customize range, area, effect, targets...
