I just finished GMing the final combat of my three-year-running online D&D 3.5 campaign. Next week, ideally, will be the epilogue session.

I'm also playing in an online 4e campaign run by Gnome. We try to meet weekly.

Then... I have contacts with some friends in Germany who are big gaming geeks. One of them runs a German-language Werewolf: The Apocalypse session online, with sessions once a month. I originally appeared as a guest character, but have since become a regular member of the party.

Nothing, all the campaigns I play in are on a hiatus.

Feels bad, man.

OP here:

GURPS Cyberpunk
Harn
Pathfinder (RotR)

Player snafu on one 3.5 collective game.
Three more campaigns on hiatus due to, respectively, people never showing up, DM fatigue, and assholery.

Then the guy that actually shows up and doesn't act like an asshole had equipment failure.

I concur.

But... there's no necessary equipment... Surely you don't mean he couldn't get it up? That shouldn't matter to a game...

If they play online, maybe his computer fried. If they play in person, maybe he lost his books to a house fire or a flood. Or lost his car to any number of things. There are lots of equipments that can fail.

I'm currently running the 4e game Adept mentioned (tonight we fight a Hill Giant highway robber with a Roc mount, unless shenanigans get in the way). I'm also running a game of Phantasmagoria of Illusory World. Which is the Touhou RPG. We're going to be stopping criminal ghosts from conquering Gensokyo.

Nothing to play here either. No gamers where I live. I am disappoint, for all I have is vidya.

Currently in a fairly nonsensical but rather amusing PF campaign.

It seems like most of us had very little experience prior to the campaign starting, so it's been a lot of fun. :B

IRL I'm playing Kult with some friends. And I recently tried out a Vampire the Masquerade LARP, which was surprisingly fun actually. Sort of like improv theatre where everyone is both and actor and the audience.

And then I'm in the same campaign as Typo. Which has been pretty damn fun, plot progression is a bit iffy at times because of time travel shenanigans and stuff, but it's still pretty fun.

I'd like to be playing some M&M.
Anyone know of a mod for FG, or am I going to have to suck it up and learn maptools?

I'd love to run a space survival horror (or rather, survival terror) game, but I know of no-one locally who RPs. And what I have in mind simply will not work except in person, with the correct props.

Dungeons and Dragons, 3.5, in an online game. I'm currently getting away with a lot, given that my character was once an obscure comic book character from the setting that was given life and form.

The bard is the only one that knows and he refuses to talk to the others. Instead, he's busily tracking down copies of the comic so he can figure out more about my character's story. I don't have the comics that I drew for it on this computer, unfortunately, or I'd show you what I'm feeding to the DM to feed to him when he finds them.

Running 3.5 these days... and, with about five campaigns behind me as DM, I'm starting to run out of ideas :<

Still the best system there is, mang.

As all the sourcebooks came out towards the end it attained the pinnacle of its clusterfuck-like perfection - one of my players is multiclassing Bo9S with the miniatures handbook for some stupid combination of abilities, psionics, magic, etc, all running in the same game makes for great chaotic fun.

And bookkeeping.

Right now? Nothing. What have I played/run?

3.5 (not in years) moved on to GURPS, Played some Shadowrun, made characters in Traveler, hunted daemons in Dark Heresy, hung out with Aztec immortals in World of Darkness, have books for Paranoia and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.

Running a 3.5e campaign myself, got two characters too, all on an obscure forum with a homebrew setting run by a bunch of people.

Why 3.5e? When I started DMing (roughly a year ago) 4e was still sort of unrefined and in need of fixing here and there, while 3.5e had (and has) a metric fuckton of rulebooks for all kinds of experiments, and I was well into 3.5e by that time.

I hear that 4e is more "streamlined" from fellow DMs when it comes to combat. However, I'm pretty comfortable with 3.5e, I have a good feel of it, and am reluctant to rewrite my campaign for the sake of using a newer edition.

Besides, I don't really like WoTC policy towards bringing all their online-only. It seems to me that 4e's selling point - lack of fiddly crunch - is apparently achieved by making a char builder and making it do all the math for you. Of course, it also requires a subscription, else you're stuck with outdated versions. It's a good way of running business from the point of not getting your shit stolen, though.

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. It's been over 3 years since I last had a game, and roughly 11 years since I last DM'd.

I guess I just don't have enough passion for it to get off my ass and game.

>best system
>3.5
Are you joking or something? have you never played any other game besides maybe Dark Heresy?

3.5 is bad at everything. It is not good at anything except Dueling Spell Lists. That's it. By contrast, every other edition of D&D from OD&D on up is at least pretty good at what it's meant to do.

>It seems to me that 4e's selling point - lack of fiddly crunch
That isn't 4E's selling point at all. 4E has a ton of fiddly crunch.

Nothing. Player cancelled GAMING, interrupted by PAY OFF OVERDRAFT.

That, and accruing funds and props for a one-off halloween special space survival-terror game. Among other things, I need 6 claustrophobic full spacesuits and helmets, a wireless 6I/6O sound system with selective channel mixing (even wired, modules with more than two inputs are damned expensive), headphones with near total isolation, several remote-controlled helmet lights (thinking Xigbee modules), a portable generator and a waterproof enclosure for a laptop to run everything, and to locate a remote outdoor location that I can rent for a night.

And some players crazy enough to turn up to a field in the middle of nowhere.

Currently Running a Solars Exalted campaign. It's my first time running Exalted and I love it so far. My players are pretty happy with it too, except how slow combat goes, but we've gotten used to it.
I'm currently playing in a V:tM game as a Malkavian. It's kinda fun, but I feel it's basically just a Grand Theft Auto campaign, not a whole lot of horror, just us running around being the "Vampire A-Team".

Playing a version of donjon(http://open.crngames.com/src/donjon.html) so modified that it doesn't even roll the dices the same way, planeswalkers overpowered with high tech-high magic in a multiverse kind of setting incorporating old settings we played, mostly as fun way to revisit old places but is starting to get a real plot.

Preparing everything to start a Mouse Guard campaign, but i'm not discarding the less grimdark, trekie Rogue Trader one...

When you said Donjon I really got exited for a moment. But sadly it didn't turn out to be the game based on the comic series. Cause I really would love to find that one translated.

Started a 3.5 campaign using useless classes, in the first session we had a samurai, a favoured soul, a beguiler and a knight. We are expecting an hexblade and a wu-yen in the next one.
