I love the setting, and it's pretty cute. Especially that image. I think I got diabetes from it.

Now, to be honest, Ven has a place to stay even if she gives up on finding out who she is.

She can stay with Telwis <3

Looks like Ven is somehow synchronized with some kind of a robot that her mind keeps switching between. Probably because it's got her heart in its chest. And she's got its uh... gear. Something like that.

I think Ven is an android. She got her heart-gear ripped out by another android, yet somehow kept going. A backup system, perhaps?

I think the other android took her heart and put it in herself, and now we are the other android.

Also Tom Clones.

>I think the other android took her heart and put it in herself, and now we are the other android.
I was thinking something along these lines.

Though, we don't appear to be an actual android, because Ven eats food and stuff. Also, the android 'heart' is the gear, which Ven has in her hand, not in her chest. Unless there's more than one gear...

It's definitely a special kind of gear. Some kind of magical spirit power source. And Ven got it from an android. Maybe one she helped build. But her clothes were different. They were the same as the one-frame flashback where she's holding a knife which is lodged in her chest, where the scar now is.

Fuck, I don't know.

I'm pretty sure that Ven started out with the robot's gear-heart. It's only fair it has hers in exchange.

But seriously, the heart thing is probably symbolic, and they're connected via some kind of mind link. Possibly she was using the robot remotely when something disastrous happened.

The only thing that puzzles me is if Ven was in the remote robot body falling down the pillar, and her familiar body is lying unconscious by the river, then who pulled out her heart? Is she three people? Was that just a memory, or maybe a portent?

I think that she is clearly not an actual robot thing, mostly because she bleeds and eats and has a heartbeat, but perhaps the robot dream sequences are allegorical somehow?

I'm a little bit confused by her eyes. Sometimes there just an oval, but other times they're an iris shutter type of thing. It's inconsistent, though, so it is probably just supposed to do that instead of how irises contract in humans to adjust for stimulus.

Deep isn't dead, but I can not into sai since I am still using an ailing computer booted to its slave drive.

Once I can get it fixed I will update both Deep AND In Which A Character Is Unexpectedly Thrust Into A Fantastical Adventure.
