I make no apologizes for my wiki addiction. Throwing up a new page for each new quest that appears is easy. It's going through and eventually dealing with all the ones that slipped through the cracks and made it to the archive or graveyard unrecorded that's the challenge. :V

Hah, that sure sounds like high-school. This quest is to to anti-gay rhetoric as Colbert is to Republicans, only five times more laced in satire and fifty times more likely to be taken literally if only because of the art and presentation.

Little too ambitious though to pull off well at all. Colbert satire is rich and chunky, will a decent aftertaste to give off a good difference between the real thing. This quest is like cream corn satire. No one wants to try it and it freaks 'em out because motherfucker, it's cream corn. It's harder to tell the difference between the fake cream corn and the real cream corn. Colbert has the advantage of sound and being a ham and being generally adorable person. Quests and writing have no sound, how the hell do you make it obvious it's in-cheek? An old chinese hobo fennec fox killed a panda. That isn't cute and obvious at all!

No, no. Guys you're interpreting this all wrong. This quest isn't really about fundamentalist perceptions of homosexuality or gay bashing. It's not really about gay people at all. Clearly this quest is about international politics.

The dad, with his gung-ho attitude represents America, whilst the protagonist's panda girlfriend represented China. The dad shooting the girlfriend in the head represents the mounting tension between the US and China finally coming to a head. You see, in reality, this quest is a predictive look at world politics. The author means to say that eventually the father, America, along with his shotgun-toting rat girlfriend, clearly meant to represent the EU, will eventually snap and attack the son's girlfriend, China. The son here represents Russia, traditionally allied with China, but here tempted by America to join in the war effort. The asexual here represents neutrality, which also beckons to Russia.
Really, I applaud the author for constructing such a nuanced and topical quest.

If Finnian's girlfriend got shot through the head, from behind, while she was about to kiss Finnian, how did Finnian not get shot also?

We saw the exit wound on her forehead, implying that the bullet passed through. How was Finnian not also killed?

Was easy enough to read. I think you should leave some stuff unsaid though, for more intrigue. For instance your withholding of what happened to Dad etc is quite tantalizing, and could turn into something epic and dramatic in the future. Anything you don't tell us that we don't figure out can be a hook to great epicicity in the future!

Furthermore just because the protagonist got converted doesn't mean you have to paint the converted in a better light. (Honestly that was full retard mode in suggestions. How the hell did anyone not protest hugging the acid monster?)

I enjoyed how Dad was framed as a conservative gun nut victimizing homosexuals, but the homosexuals (*sexuals) are actually alien creatures consuming the population and Dad is actually a decent person just trying to survive. Changing the flavor so that the aliens are actually good guys just trying to survive doesn't seem to have quite the same "oomph" to it.

You have some defense here in that the quest started out pretty absurd and crazy. When bullshit started happening in ZQ, it felt like bullshit. Here, crazy is the norm. I mean, really, I'm having a hard time even imagining things you could throw at us that would feel jarring out of place with the precedents set.

I still like how you had said there would be nothing super natural besides Zombies in ZQ but as long as Finnegan doesn't impregnate himself with Vic Manyana or however you spell that, we'll be okay

i was getting more ~throw yourself at the monster~ suggestions than i was 'trust him for now', which i originally thought was going to happen-and i sure as fuck wasnt gonna make finnian try to kill his dad

a lot of things happened in the beginning that i never expected, and the suggestions actually heavily influenced the turn of events
even small things can matter in this, so ill say this so no one tries to be really fucking rash with choices
finnian could have kissed sarah inside the house, not giving dad enough time to realize what was happening and have her shot. thus, finnian would be pan. sarah would have still been shot, but now finnian would be pan and stay with his father.

as well as telling him to go to different locations, youll meet new people and learn new things-like the angry pan gnoll

1. this quest wasnt even meant to be remotely as serious has it has gotten

2. dj lalonde and yoshiko came up with finnians species and name(dj likes name puns)

3. dj also came up with tayas species

4. taya is based off of a girl i hate because she is bossy and dumb and acts like she knows everything and the best way to do stuff. everyone also mistakes taya for a lesbian hence why i made this taya one.

5. i have no fucking clue what im doing and if you take this quest in any seriounsness or s/t you should probably stop

That's fine, tgchan's probably going to take the quest into the directions of destroying all factions ever and get Fin into becoming a triple spy. Maybe a quadruple, quintuple, and sextuple spy too. This quest will become nuts enough when Finnian essentially becomes Xanatos.

We bring silly into serious quests, and we find ways to make silly quests serious. It's what we do, man. :V
