Hey guys, I'm thinking of running a quest.
It took me an hour to draw this. So, do you think I have what it takes?

Sure, but that's uh... bit horrific

if you are making a scary quest then sure this style is perfect.

What it takes is dedication. If you can update regularly over a long period of time, you have what it takes.

Is that the Silent Hill Quest thing peeking in there?

You draw more than well enough to do an image quest, but you'll need writing skill as well to pull it off.

Your drawing skill is MUCH MUCH MUCH more than adequate. Good work. However, just make sure your writing is up to snuff, as you can have a quest without art, but not without writing. Also, make the main character customizable, and you're a sure win.

An hour for that? Sure, that works fine. You could drop the detail down a bit to shorten the time it takes to draw, and I don't think anyone would take issue with it.

Yeah. I'm bad at drawing people, they always turn into anime-esque things that are all wrongly proportioned. So I do freaky monsters to distract people!

>>349368
Yep. I'll be honest, that thing is embarrassing in hindsight, but at least I learned never to to this shit spur of the moment, as it will always bite you in the ass.

(Ohhoho, how clever of me to use a motherfucking meme)

Yeah, the main problem I had the first time was backgrounds. I tried to just do crap backgrounds and focus on anticipating tgchan's moves so I didn't have to spend 4 hours drawing Suggestion Response #3, and then realize more people posted... blahblahblah butthurt

There is one thing that's been bothering me.
Character arcs. Originally, Lurker was going to be way darker and more sadistic, with the lurker-guy being an inhuman sadistic killing machine. Then at some point, the character would be exposed to a book, and from there you were going to choose whether you were going to be GOODS or EVILS. Yes, a book. READING RAINBOW
And he would slowly progresss to becoming, basically, Monster Jesus.
I guess what I'm really asking is, how do you keep arcs going when you have to keep things going?
Thanks for responding.

This is the main reason furry/anthro art exists, and is used for most animation through the decades even. It is very difficult and time consuming to produce a proper human since everyone has an inherent ability to sense if anything is 'off-model' (see uncanny valley).
So just use non-humans for your characters. Extreme monsters like you made are awesome, but not very relateable compared to classic quest creatures like cutebolds.

Of course, they don't have to look cute to be relateable.
