I wish to say that I am enjoying your quest a lot, and that the animation are very fun to watch.

Kudos, Derek!

I must know. Is Kushal's armor a Demon's Souls reference?

Don't you dare burn out on me. Your art and animation is much too lovely and if you stop updating and disappear I will hate you for as long as I remember to.

Nah, I'm not burning out. I was just away for a few days... The puzzle was going to be filler, but I wasn't able to get it up before I left! Oh well.

>>345118
I wouldn't say it's a reference, per se, but his equipment is based on the fluted armour set, yeah.

Nice. Just finished my third playthrough of Demon's Souls. Nice quest by the way.

What program do you use to make those animated gifs, if I may ask? They're mesmerizing.

Macromedia Flash 8. It's what I draw everything with, too. Vector-based art programs are just a lot easier to use, if you ask me :V

I dunno, I want to make quick updates but it's hard sometimes. For a majority of the updates, the suggestions that follow are all so different that it can be hard to pick which one to go with-- like, there's no consensus, I guess.

One person just wants to move on,
One person wants to continue messing with the barrel,
One person wants to switch sides with the monster again, and
One person wants to go back and try opening the other door.

What do I do?! I feel that switching sides with the monster again or fiddling with the barrel will take up too many tedious/boring updates, I feel that just moving on is choo choo, and I feel that going back to try the other door is sort of a big change for only one vote to decide on.

Blah, it's all just very confusing and it makes it hard to update. What do the rest of you authors do when this happens?

In the meantime, have this picture of Allan from a long time ago (before he was even intended for the role of a dungeon crawler).

Go with what the character wants.

yeah, characters have a vote too.

In case of differing suggestions, go with what advances the plot.

Go for whatever I vote.

And then there's what YOU want to happen.

In fact, even when it's not a tie do that.

Don't worry about railroading. Rather, railroad all you like as it advances the plot.

>I feel that switching sides with the monster again or fiddling with the barrel will take up too many tedious/boring updates
There's your rationale to drop those, then
>I feel that just moving on is choo choo
Nope. Quests die from pissing about rather than making forward progress.
>I feel that going back to try the other door is sort of a big change for only one vote to decide on.
Never let anything less than a strict majority of players cause big changes, because chances are they're being thick. (And that's the charitable interpretation that they're not trying to troll the quest.)

zzzz, sorry for the lack of updates. I'm working away from home over the summer, so I've had no access to a computer for like the past two weeks and etc. etc.

I plan on picking up Dungeon Deeper again come Autumn, so see you in September! Just thought I should tell whoever was following my quest :V
