Gold Day
a4b4e3
I had an extraordinarily strange dream last year about quest characters. Let me think...
I think it was Tav, Kyaos, Sul, and Ven, though Sul straight up disappeared the first time he went out of view leaving just the others and myself there. We were all in a little canoe in water only a few feet deep so when we had to we could just get out and push the canoe, we didn't actually have to use the oars, but there was dangerous stuff in the water so we couldn't stay in there too long. Piranhas or something.
Each room we passed through had some strange trial we had to solve before leaving it. I don't actually remember what these were, it was a year ago remember, so I'll skip to the one I do remember.
The very last room had a bowl of mints floating around in the water. I think Kyaos and Ven both got a bad vibe from it and wanted to leave the room as quickly as possible in our little boat, but Tav and I didn't see the point. When we got closer to the bowl the mints started popping out of the bowl like popcorn, and when a mint hit the water it turned into this spreading, white hair that was oddly dry even though it was in the water, floating on top of it, and after a while a triangular face formed in the spreading hair.
It was the fluffy, and the fluffy was growing fluffier.
We rowed as fast as we could to the exit and passed the last trial or whatever, where we found the ultimate prize: Some kinda tube of toothpaste that we all somehow knew was of great importance, and retrieving the tube of toothpaste made perfect sense at the time.
Around there, the dream ended.
It was really, really weird. Ven never spoke, Sul never spoke though like I said, he disappeared (Or did he fall in the water and die?) early on, Tav and Kyaos were constantly arguing and insulting each other in what I found to be a humorous manner (This was before Tav lost his arm and Kyaos lost Ga'nneda and her eye, apparently, because it was more of a rivalry thing than outright hatred, and their appearances were that from the start of Journey rather than it's end) and... yeah. It was just weird.
I'm trying to remember if there was one more person in the boat. There might have been, but I can't remember. Like I said, this dream happened like a year ago, but it stuck in my mind just because of how very weird it was.
